Story
She was a family friends dog and they were looking to rehome her and we tried to keep her but she had some health issues that they did not inform us of and when we tried to give her back they said they were just going to take her to a shelter or have her euthanized. She’s about 5 years old, is the sweetest dog you could ever meet. She’s good with other dogs, cats, kids and people. She is good in public and good on a leash. The only reason we can’t keep her is because of her medical needs

Story
How this pet arrived: Cleo was brought in by a community member on July 24, 2024 Why Cleo is the one for you:Meet Cleo, a sweet and shy girl who arrived as a stray, bringing with her a bit of mystery! While her past is unknown, she's gradually feeling better being around people, especially when yummy treats are involved. Cleo appreciates a low-key environment, so she's looking for an adult-only home where she can take her time adjusting. She's done well with dogs and is respectful, but a meet and greet is essential if you have a dog already. Cleo needs an enclosed yard for bathroom breaks and a comfortable space to relax before exploring the outside world. While she may not be the dog to take to festivals and farmers markets, with patience and TLC, we're hoping that she will become a wonderful companion. Plus, we'll send her home with a leash, collar and crate, and you'll have the opportunity to speak with one of our trainers to help set her up for success! If you're interested in giving this adorable pup the loving home she deserves, bring the household down to meet Cleo! Primary Color: Tan Weight: 98.6 Age: 5yrs 4mths 1wks

Story
*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Peace! 10 year old Peace is a gentle giant in need of a loving new home because his dad was seriously injured in an accident. Peace is a 135-pound Cane Corso Mastiff who has a calm, well-mannered personality and is great with children, other dogs, and all people. In other words, Peace lives up to his name! After a 3-week stay in a shelter immediately following his dad's injury and hospitalization, Peace was rescued by a member of his dad's extended family. Now that Peace is on the mend after contracting an upper respiratory illiness in the shelter, he is ready to be placed in a forever home. Things to know about Peace: Personality & Behavior: * Gentle with Strangers & Kids: Outside, Peace loves greeting new people and is used to being around children (ages 6 and 10 months). He is very gentle and patient with them. * Good with Other Dogs: Peace lives with another dog, a 10-pound senior who is a bit feisty. Peace, however, is calm and submissive toward her and doesn't engage in aggressive behavior. He's also easygoing with other dogs during walks. * Exercise & Play: Peace loves leisurely walks around the neighborhood, playing fetch, and exploring his yard. Despite his size, he's not an escape artist-he stays content in his environment. * Training: Peace has been professionally trained and responds well to commands. He does not have any history of nipping or biting, and he is non-aggressive, even when food or toys are involved. * Behavior around Food & Toys: While Peace is calm around his own toys and food, the little dog he is currently living with can be a bit possessive, but Peace remains a gentleman and lets her have her way. Current Living Situation: * Indoors with continuous access to an outdoor patio. Peace is comfortable both inside and outside. He enjoys lounging around indoors, resting and playing in the yard, and he has access to potty pads and a doggie door for his bathroom needs. * Initially, Peace a few accidents in his foster home, but he's well-trained to only go potty outdoors and to use a doggie door. Peace's Daily Routine: * Peace starts his day with cuddles, pets, and kisses, followed by a bathroom break and breakfast. Afterward, he enjoys lounging and napping, with playtime and walks sprinkled throughout the day. * Evening routines include dinner, playtime, and winding down with a chewy to brush his teeth before bedtime. Peace is the ideal companion for a loving family who wants a calm, steady dog that enjoys a comfortable lifestyle and gets along with kids, other dogs, and even strangers. He is ready to be part of a new family who can offer him the care and affection he deserves. To learn more about Peace, please contact Marie at mlawson38er@gmail.com or 626-203-3854 . *Frosted Faces Foundation has not assessed this dog medically or behaviorally.*

Story
Luna is the rescues longest resident. As a young puppy Luna was sent to a board n train where harsh methods were used and her trust in humans was completely destroyed. She was flown down to us from a shelter in San Jose in the hopes we could work with her and get her to the point of being able to safely be adopted out. Luna has definitely been a labor of love but she is ready for a home of her own now. She has perfect house manners and is completely house broken. She walks beautifully on a leash and participates in our pack walks where she solicits love and attention from everyone. On the homefront she can be protective but she is a corso, and this is to be expected. She’s been fostered with both dogs and cats and with proper introductions would easily be able to live with other pets. She’s never had an altercation with any animal. She really needs a home with someone who understands the breed and loves cuddling with their pup as she’s a huge cuddler.

Story
Maddie is a sweet big girl. She loves to play and loves scratches from kids and adults. I'm currently fostering and have been for a few months but I travel too much. One of my friends moved to an apartment that didn't allow pets and she was going to put Maddie in a shelter. So I offered to house her for a few months until I met someone that could care for her but I can no longer foster due to travel each month. She's sweet, loves cuddling, and loves to sunbathe. She's house trained and has been great with other dogs, rabbits, and children.
