Story
Diesel is a great dog, I am his second owner. I took him in about a year ago because his first home had 2 little girls under 5 and 2 under 2. He is a big baby and doesn’t know his size. He is house trained and extremely desensitized so baths, nail trimming, and teeth cleanings are easy. I am active duty military and due to my schedule I can’t take care of him anymore. I really want him to go to a loving family.

Story
Rene was wandering around the block for several weeks, until he was given the opportunity to enter the home of one of the rescuers. He has been a very protective, loving dog, and from the first moment he was always grateful. He has gained weight and is ready for his new home. He loves to get close to the fence to be petted by neighbors. He is good with cats, although because of his size we do not leave him unsupervised when he is with them, and he lives with most females. He doesn't like to have another male around, he is the alpha and everyone knows it, but with people, he is the biggest baby of them all. He loves treats, lots of love and affection, going for walks and playing with balls and rubber toys. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Story
Apollo is a beautiful purebred Cane Corso. He will need a strong owner who has experience with mastiffs, pit bulls or bulldogs. Apollo would do best in an active home with good fencing. He loves to run and play but dog parks are a no no. Typical of this breed, he does not do well with other male dogs. Apollo likes to play hard so supervision with female dogs is needed at the start. He is also loving and sweet and would love to curl up on the couch with you! Very good on a leash as well.

Story
Luna is the rescues longest resident. As a young puppy Luna was sent to a board n train where harsh methods were used and her trust in humans was completely destroyed. She was flown down to us from a shelter in San Jose in the hopes we could work with her and get her to the point of being able to safely be adopted out. Luna has definitely been a labor of love but she is ready for a home of her own now. She has perfect house manners and is completely house broken. She walks beautifully on a leash and participates in our pack walks where she solicits love and attention from everyone. On the homefront she can be protective but she is a corso, and this is to be expected. She’s been fostered with both dogs and cats and with proper introductions would easily be able to live with other pets. She’s never had an altercation with any animal. She really needs a home with someone who understands the breed and loves cuddling with their pup as she’s a huge cuddler.

How this pet arrived:.Calcifer was brought in by a community member on September 25, 2025. Why Calcifer might be the one for you:Meet Calcifer, an energetic yet calm pup in search of a loving new home! Calcifer enjoys walks, playtime, belly rubs, chasing birds (that he never catches) and sunbathing. Staff have fallen in love with this big, goofy guy - he is a sucker for attention and wants to be with his humans. Ones he gets some energy out with a good play session (stuffed toys are his favorite) he's happy to settle in for a nap. Calcifer did come into our care with fearful behaviors, and he will do best in a quiet low/traffic home. He likely struggle with new spaces and people, so slow introductions to new things are going to set him up for success! Calcifer also loves to be the star of the show and soak up all the love and attention, so he is requesting to be the only pet in his new home. Any children in his new home must be older than 14 years old as well, due to his initial fearful behavior.
