Meet sweet Gloria. This gorgeous 9 year old angel found her way to us through a local animal control. She is in her golden years and is the most beautiful girl ever. Gloria is about nine, has some arthritis, and is looking for a family to spend the rest of her days with. She is sweet, dog friendly, gentle, and great on the leash. She is a very good girl and just needs a soft place to land. Don't overlook these sweet seniors, she still has a lot of love to give!

Story
If you like them B I G and docile, this is the gal for you. This sweet princess came in needing a second chance after she ended up with our shelter partner. Her and a few of her friends were removed from a property in need of a second chance. Shyly is big and sweet. She is shy until she knows you, but never offers any concerning behavior. She walks well on the leash, is comfortable in a kennel, and is just a big baby. She is fine with dogs that are not overly excited and jumping on her. She will coexist with a lower energy dog perfectly. Due to her size she would do best in a home with kids over 10. This girl is about 3 and still has so much life to live. If you want a friend to help you get outside this summer, she would love a family to head out and adventure with. Come meet his sweet girl.

Story
Chief is an approximately 1 year old male Corso/Mastiff mix who arrived to us as a stray and was not reclaimed by an owner. Chief is a big boy at 80 lbs (still could gain some weight, and likely has growing to do). We can best describe Chief as BOISTEROUS, as he pretty much bounces and runs everywhere he goes here. He is looking for a home with a person or family who will both nurture his happy puppy side, while providing structure, boundaries and training to make him the best dog he can be. Breed/size experience is a plus! We aren't sure about housetraining, and he appears to need work on that -- but being in a kennel, it is hard to tell how he will be in a home. He would do best in a home without cats/small animals at this time, and due to his size and energy levels, we would recommend older or no children. He appears to be somewhat dog friendly, and homes with dogs would need to have their dogs meet Chief before proceeding to make sure it would be a good match. Chief has been recently neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $150. Please come to the shelter to meet this sweet boy, if interested, and call or email with questions: 630-553-9256 or animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov

Story
Hi, I’m Iggy and I’m new to the rescue. I am currently decompressing and getting used to my foster family. Check back as my foster family learns more about me! Dog’s Name: Iggy Location: Plano, IL Date of Birth: 5/1/2025 Gender: Male Breed: Cane Corso Color: Black Dog's Weight: Approximately 100 Gets along with: Dogs?: Yes Cats?:  Unknown Kids?:  Yes, older kids Training: Leash trained: Were working on it Crate/Kennel: Were working on it Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car: Rides well in car Meet Iggy! Iggy is a big, energetic boy with a whole lot of puppy still left in him. He is extremely strong, enthusiastic, and full of life—and he’s learning more every day about how to channel that energy in positive ways. While he doesn’t quite realize his size yet, he is actively working on his manners, including learning not to jump or use his mouth when he’s excited. The good news? He listens well and is making steady progress with consistent guidance. Iggy thrives when he has a chance to burn off energy, especially by playing with another dog. Having a canine companion has helped him tremendously, and his excitement becomes much more manageable once his activity needs are met. He is house-trained and knows to go potty outside, though at his young age he still benefits from more frequent breaks. At night, Iggy is continuing to adjust to crate training. While he currently finds it challenging, he is showing improvement each day and becoming more accepting with patience and routine. During the workday, he does very well—when left loose in a room, he does not chew or destroy anything. Iggy will do best in an active home that understands large, energetic dogs. A family with older children is recommended due to his size and strength. He would greatly benefit from having another dog to help burn off energy and provide companionship. A fenced yard or commitment to regular exercise will be ideal. While he may not be the best fit for a first-time giant breed owner, someone willing to continue his training and provide structure will be rewarded with a loyal, fun-loving companion. Iggy is a work in progress with a big heart—and with the right home, he’s going to be an amazing dog. Story
Hi, I’m Rafferty. I am ready to find my forever home! Dog’s Name: Rafferty Location: Green Bay, WI Date of Birth: 06/01/2025 Gender: Male Breed: Cane Corso Mix Color: Brindle Dog's Weight: 85 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?: Unknown Kids?: Older kids or giant breed experienced younger kids Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel with a treat as an incentive Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car: Doesn't like getting in the car, but rides well once in. Meet Rafferty! Rafferty’s personality is truly shining. This sweet giant-breed puppy is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. He has bursts of puppy energy filled with zoomies and toy time, followed by his favorite activity—curling up on the couch for cuddles. Rafferty is learning his puppy manners and is doing well with redirection as he figures out what is appropriate to nibble on (and what is not). He loves toys, enjoys interacting with people, and has gotten along wonderfully with everyone he has met. True to his affectionate nature, Rafferty is a big fan of giving kisses and soaking up attention. Rafferty will thrive in a home that understands the needs of a growing giant-breed puppy. Because of his size and breed characteristics, prior giant-breed experience is recommended. His adopter should be prepared to continue basic puppy training, including reinforcing good manners and helping him grow into his large body. He would do well in a home that can provide: Consistent structure and positive reinforcement training Plenty of interaction, enrichment, and supervised play Space to move and play (a fenced yard is a bonus, but not required with proper exercise) Rafferty may enjoy having another friendly dog in the home but would also be perfectly happy as the center of attention. He is suitable for a committed, patient adopter who is ready to guide him through puppyhood and into a well-mannered adult. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and cuddly companion with a heart as big as his paws, Rafferty may be your perfect match. Story
Nola is the sweetest gentle giant you can meet! Her favorite things to do is take selfies, bask in the sun, and get belly rubs! She is always wagging her tail and enjoying all the attention she can get. Nola has lots of energy so would probably need a slow introduction to dogs due to her large size and she does well with cats too with a slow introduction! We are hoping to find a home for Nola who has experience with large breeds - she is a STRONG girl! She’s not a fan of the kennel environment (who can blame her) so much so she will plop herself down on the ground outside and make it impossible for kennel to bring her back in! We’d love to get her out of here asap so she can enjoy basking in the sun for as long as she wants! Nola is very selective around men and would do better in a female only Household or a very slow introduction to men. She LOVES kids though! If interested in fostering adopting Nola, send us a message! Currently at County Line Pet Hospital Clphadoption@gmail.com 708-754-2351
