Story
Meet our gentle giant, a Cane Corso and Neapolitan Mastiff mix born April 26, 2024. At 167 lbs, he’s a loving cuddlebug who enjoys being close to his people, whether lying by your feet or rolling happily in the grass. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, house-trained, crate-trained, and knows sit, stay, and heel. He can stay out of the crate alone without causing damage. He’s friendly with strangers, good with cats, and has attended daycare and puppy play camp. While sometimes reactive with dogs at first, he redirects easily and often becomes playful after proper introductions. We love him deeply, but cannot give him the space, time, and exercise he deserves. He would thrive with someone experienced with large guardian breeds who can continue his training and confidence. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, protection, and endless love. He’s ready for a forever family.

Story
MEET BUBBA!This handsome man is Bubba, a large mixed-breed dog who is ready to make you his new best friend. Bubba was found as a stray, so we do not know what his life was like prior to coming to us but his sweet, friendly personality has definitely shown through! He would do best with older, sturdy kids as he can be a bouncy guy who does not realize just how strong he is. He has shown interest in other dogs here in the shelter, so may be OK living with another dog pending a dog meet. If you are interested in learning more about Bubba, stop by our Dedham shelter! My friends describe me as: Friendly, bouncy, outgoingBubba is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY however, we are unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston please visit us during our adoption center hours: Wednesdays-Sundays from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, Tuesdays by appointment only from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, closed Mondays & Holidays. For information about our adoption process click here

Story
Hello! I’m Blue and here’s a little about meInstagram: bigbluebearthecorsoLocation: Rhode IslandName: Blue Breed: Cane CorsoColor: Tan with white underbelly Age: 2 years, 3 monthsSex: Male ( intact )Weight: 85 lbs ( very underweight )My owner unfortunately has abandoned me and isn’t coming back. As you can see in the pictures and in the description, I am very underweight because of him. I prefer raw or cooked human food over kibble. I don’t get along with other animals but I can if I am trained and socialized properly with someone who is well experienced with my breed. Currently I am now comfortable with my current caretaker dog and play along with them well including occasional rough housing and playing fetch. It took a week of consistency. I am house trained as long as I am given a chance to use the bathroom before you go to work and can be left alone for 8 to 10 hours at a time without having an accident. Contact for more information!

Story
Hello, I’m Aggie! I’m in search of my forever home. I like to bark when I see dogs but when properly introduced, I get along with dogs, even the ankle biters. I’m incredibly sweet and affectionate. While I may not fully grasp my size, I know how to show you love with plenty of kisses, drool, and face licks! When I greet people, I tend to jump up to get a better look at them. I’m working on it, but sometimes I forget. I take treats very gently. Car rides are my favorite—I’ll even buckle up! I might pull a bit on the leash when we first head out, but I improve as we continue our walk. I’m not sure about cats at this time, and I prefer a home with kids aged 12 and older. Previous experience with Cane Corsos or guardian breeds is required. Only homeowners with fenced yards will be considered. To apply, visit http://www.almosthomeri.org. It is important to know that Aggie and her sister, Emma, were confiscated from a Providence auto repair shop. They were purchased as puppies and lived in junk cars on the property until Providence Animal Control liberated them.

Story
Meet Emma, who is ready to find her forever couch! She adores her toys, especially the squeaky ones, and will happily chase a ball (though she might not always bring it back!). Emma is incredibly smart and food-motivated. She's also house-trained and crate-trained, making her the perfect addition to any family. Emma is a true people-person and is great with all humans. She's on the lookout for a home where she can be the center of attention and doesn't want to share her space with other pets. But that just means more love for you! When she's not playing, Emma takes her role as your protector very seriously, always keeping an eye out for any potential dangers. And when her duties are done, she loves nothing more than snoozing the day away on the couch. If you're looking for a faithful and fun-loving friend, Emma could be the one for you. Kids 12 and up only. Previous experience with Cane Corsos or guardian breeds is required. Only homeowners with fenced yards will be considered. To apply, visit http://www.almosthomeri.org. Story
Mater is a big goofy boy! He loves going on walks around our field, people, and dogs. He loves roughhousing with dogs, but we prefer that he goes to a home with bigger dogs just because he’s so big himself! He’s great with children of all ages! He loves spending time with people and even loves being dressed up!
