Story
Meet our gentle giant, a Cane Corso and Neapolitan Mastiff mix born April 26, 2024. At 150 lbs, he’s a loving cuddlebug who enjoys being close to his people, whether lying by your feet or rolling happily in the grass. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, house-trained, crate-trained, and knows sit, stay, and heel. He can stay out of the crate alone without causing damage. He’s friendly with strangers, good with cats, and has attended daycare and puppy play camp. While sometimes reactive with dogs at first, he redirects easily and often becomes playful after proper introductions. We love him deeply, but cannot give him the space, time, and exercise he deserves. He would thrive with someone experienced with large guardian breeds who can continue his training and confidence. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, protection, and endless love. He’s ready for a forever family.

Story
Blue is a big friendly guy who loves to cuddle. He was living outside with unhoused in the city. He was brought into my place of work and has been living with me for the past year. I am moving in with my partner in the fall and unfortunately he has a dog who does not get along with other dogs. Blue is great with other dogs! And all people! He is a big lover! He is going to need someone who is patient with him though as he does get nervous when left along in new places. He has settled into our apartment and routine but needs time in new environments. He does much better with a dog companion so would love a sibling if you had one. He is currently living with another dog and two cats.

Story
Hello, I’m Aggie! I’m in search of my forever home. I like to bark when I see dogs but when properly introduced, I get along with dogs, even the ankle biters. I’m incredibly sweet and affectionate. While I may not fully grasp my size, I know how to show you love with plenty of kisses, drool, and face licks! When I greet people, I tend to jump up to get a better look at them. I’m working on it, but sometimes I forget. I take treats very gently. Car rides are my favorite—I’ll even buckle up! I might pull a bit on the leash when we first head out, but I improve as we continue our walk. I’m not sure about cats at this time, and I prefer a home with kids aged 12 and older. Previous experience with Cane Corsos or guardian breeds is required. Only homeowners with fenced yards will be considered. To apply, visit http://www.almosthomeri.org. It is important to know that Aggie and her sister, Emma, were confiscated from a Providence auto repair shop. They were purchased as puppies and lived in junk cars on the property until Providence Animal Control liberated them.

Story
Meet Emma, who is ready to find her forever couch! She adores her toys, especially the squeaky ones, and will happily chase a ball (though she might not always bring it back!). Emma is incredibly smart and food-motivated. She's also house-trained and crate-trained, making her the perfect addition to any family. Emma is a true people-person and is great with all humans. She's on the lookout for a home where she can be the center of attention and doesn't want to share her space with other pets. But that just means more love for you! When she's not playing, Emma takes her role as your protector very seriously, always keeping an eye out for any potential dangers. And when her duties are done, she loves nothing more than snoozing the day away on the couch. If you're looking for a faithful and fun-loving friend, Emma could be the one for you. Kids 12 and up only. Previous experience with Cane Corsos or guardian breeds is required. Only homeowners with fenced yards will be considered. To apply, visit http://www.almosthomeri.org. It is important to know that Aggie and her sister, Emma, were confiscated from a Providence auto repair shop. Story
Meet Giada! You will literally NEVER, and we mean NEVER, meet a sweeter cane corso. This girl is about two years old and is a professional at the puppy dog pout. Despite weighing about 80lbs and being full grown, she's JUST a BABY. Like, the biggest baby. She would lay belly up in your arms if she could. And that FACE? Smush and smooch away - she loves it!Giada is a little bit of a shy girl at first but after some sweet talking, she is an absolute sweetheart darling angel baby. Sudden movements or loud noises may still make her a little skittish but if you love up on her, she'll snuggle right up with you like a big ol' body pillow/weighted blanket combo. She is a complete and total love. She is AMAZING on a leash for a gal her size and she's so, so smart - she knows a bunch of cues and isn't afraid to show them off. Giada does well with other dogs but can be a little socially awkward...like, it takes her a minute to realize that the other dog is trying to play with her and isn't just doing some strange interpretive dance. She has shown no red flags with cats here, just some gentle curiosity, so dog-savvy cats would probably be fine. Despite how gentle she is, we're still looking for a home with kids 12+ (though exceptions MAY be made for families with breed/large dog experience). Story
Meet Bane!If you're in the market for a big dopey goofball, Bane is your guy.Bane is a 6yo cane corso and he weighs about 97lbs. He is, essentially, a small horse. For the most part, he is very aware of his size which is a good thing because it prevents the whole "bull in a china shop" thing from happening. He is a little guilty of being pully when he's on a leash, especially when he first gets outside, but once his initial excitement wears off, he's much better about prancing along at your side and listening to corrections. Bane is a 100% certified good boy. He knows lots of cues (and he gives kisses on demand, like, come on, he's perfect), he's obsessed with cars and car rides, and he's good with people. While he comes across stoic and serious at first, he's all about the play bows and treating everything like it's a game. Don't let his age fool you because he is NOT a lazy old man. He's still got plenty of energy for long walks and games of fetch and tossing around plush toys. He's done well with other dogs while he's been here but doesn't seem to really care about them one way or another. He's much more interested in passing cars or his handlers. We're looking for a home without cats and with kids 12+ with a family who has breed, or similar breed, experience.Since he is a "restricted breed", you must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.
