*CRITICAL* MUST LEAVE CURRENT HOME ASAP or WILL BE GOING TO THE SHELTER ANY DAY NOW* My name is LUNA and I’m a GORGEOUS 2 yr F PUREBRED Brindle CANE CORSO. I’m 90 lbs of PURE SWEET BROWNIE BRINDLICIOUSNESS! Due to unforeseen circumstances, my owner has to rehome me ASAP!! I also have a 3 month F Puppy named FILIPPA and it would be great to keep us together but it’s not mandatory. I’m very BEAUTIFUL and STUNNING BUT very NERVOUS and SKITTISH with the outside world. I currently live with 3 children ages 5-10 so I’m very good with kids but I’ve not met dogs or cats outside of my household so I’ve not been socialized with other dogs/cats. I’m housebroken and crate trained and could use more work on the leash training. I need someone/couple WHO ARE EXPERIENCED with my BREED and KNOW how to handle and work with me to expose me to social situations with other dogs and people. I’m a VERY GOOD GIRL and need someone to BELIEVE IN ME!!! If you’re experienced with CANE CORSOs and can help SAVE LUNA by FOSTERING/ADOPTING… pls send an email with your CELL# to: INFO@TAILSOFLOVERESCUE.ORGMarch 28, 2024, 9:33 am

*CRITICAL* MUST LEAVE CURRENT HOME ASAP or WILL BE GOING TO THE SHELTER ANY DAY NOW* as of 3.28.24!!! My name is BABY LILA and I’m a GORGEOUS 3 mo F PUREBRED Brindle CANE CORSO. I’m currently 23 lbs of PURE SWEETNESS!  Due to unforeseen circumstances, my owner has to rehome me along with my mother LUNA ASAP!! It would be wonderful for us to go together but it’s not mandatory however I would love to be with another dog to learn from.  I’m just a puppy so I will need LOTS OF STRUCTURED DAILY EXERCISE AND DISCIPLINE immediately. I currently live with 3 children ages 5-10 so I’m very good with kids but I’ve not met dogs or cats outside of my household so I’ve not been socialized with other dogs/cats but since I’m a puppy I’m very impressionable and prime for socialization at my current age. I’m almost housebroken and crate trained but will need more work on the leash training. I need someone/couple WHO ARE EXPERIENCED with my BREED and KNOW how to handle and work with me to expose me to social situations with other dogs and people. I’m just a puppy and have LOTS of POTENTIAL but will need someone PATIENT and TOLERANT to TRAIN ME DAILY so I will grow up to be a BALANCED DOG.  If you’re experienced with CANE CORSOs and can help SAVE BABY FILA by FOSTERING/ADOPTING… pls send an email with your CELL# to:INFO@TAILSOFLOVERESCUE.ORGMarch 28, 2024, 10:19 am

Story
Champ is a very loving and loved dog. He is 3 yrs old. We purchased him from a breeder in No. Carolina and he has been with us since he was 6 months old. Champ loves attention and loves to be petted. We do not want to let Champ go, but my husband has become disabled, and I have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis so we are no longer able to physically and financially take care of Champ the way he deserves to be cared for. He did attend training classes but after my husband became sick it was hard for me to continue his training, so he does pull when he is walked which is why I can’t handle him. Also because my husband is no longer able to work our finances have drastically changed so that has impacted our ability to make sure that Champ is taken care of medically. He loves children and other dogs. Champ is a gentle giant, he is not a barker, but he will definitely let you know if someone is approaching your home. Champ is a true friend and companion. We live in Willingboro NJ.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Fill out an Adoption Application Sweet Mirti, a Miami native, is ready to show a lucky family what a good girl she can be!   Mirti was found pregnant, abandoned, and roaming the streets of Miami, FL in November 2023.  She unfortunately got sick during her shelter stay and had to spend a few weeks in boarding until being cleared to travel.  It was a sad sight for sure…watching a girl who just couldn’t catch a break.    Shortly after Christmas, she arrived in MTM’s care… she was scared, nervous and would run and hide or lie on her bed shaking - afraid to move.  A week of settling in and decompressing revealed a happy, lively, dog who wanted nothing more than a human to give her scratches and attention.  Her personality is now shining through, and she continues to show us how lucky we are to have saved her.      Now on to the dislikes… There is not one thing identified that she doesn’t like or that seems to bother her to no end.  Here are all the things this girl loves: Mirti is quiet in her kennel until she hears a voice or sees her human.  Then she becomes excited and lets you know by barking and jumping at her kennel door. As soon as she is let out, she proceeds to do her zoomies. :) She enjoys running around in the open yard, but never strays too far from  her person. She loves being rubbed/petted/loved on and doesn’t mind being touched on her ears or feet.  She  enjoys car rides. Mirti knows a few basic commands but gets easily excited and will jump.  She can be easily redirected and is able to settle. She does not mind you touching her mouth, looking at her teeth, or touching her feet.  She walks well on a leash. However, if you don't make her heal far enough back, she will cut in front of you. She is food motivated which will definitely help with training. She seems to be unaffected by other dogs in the area of her kennel or the open play yard. She is, however, quite intrigued by the goats.  Where she walks, there is a small group of little dogs that bark at her. She is curious she does not bark. She does not charge after them. She does not pull and is easily redirected and continues when the leash walk. She is somewhat startled by noises and by cars passing by, but if you can keep her focus she will continue on the walk. Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?:  non-reactive towards dogs, intrigued and tail wags when meeting a cat; and curious about little humans.  She was hesitant at first when meeting her 6-year-old foster human but him staying still and calm settled her nerves, and she sat right beside him while he held her leash.  Housetrained: Yes. Crate trained:  Yes. Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)?  No, she is a velcro dog who will stay by your side.  She will partake in some zoomies, but you will always be in her sights. Walks well on a leash? Yes, good leash manners.  She is walked in an area that has a group of little dogs that bark at her; she is curious about all the praise, but her modesty keeps her from making a fuss about it.  She does not pull and is easily redirected; she is somewhat startled by noises and by cars passing by but again -- If you can keep her focus she will continue on the walk by your side. Any Medical issues? None. What would be the best kind of home? Mirti is a healthy girl with an abundance of energy to share with an active, energetic family.  She is good with kids, dogs (big and small), and cats and would love a human lap to lay her head on.             Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include, but are not limited to: pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. We will not adopt a giant breed dog to homes where the dog will have access to highly varnished hardwood steps inside the home. We encourage you to remediate potential safety issues while your application is under review, prior to the home visit. Methods or devices using pain or force on the dog to control the dog, or to deter undesirable behavior is prohibited. Applications for giant breed dogs must be submitted by the property owner. Homes with children under 6 years of age will not be approved for adoption. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Veterinary records will be checked. All references must be checked before any visitation of the dog is permitted at the foster home. All family members must be present during the home visit to the applicant's home.
