Sasha is a sweet female Mastiff mix, 69 lbs and about 1½ years old, who is looking for a safe place to land. She was found as a stray and is believed to have possibly been hit by a car. A veterinary exam showed no broken bones, which is great news, but she is still being monitored for any possible after effects.Sasha is a bit timid at first, which is understandable given what she has likely been through. With a slow approach and a calm, gentle greeting, she begins to relax and show her softer side. She walks well on a leash and seems to appreciate quiet reassurance.As we spend more time getting to know Sasha, we will continue to share updates about her personality and needs. A cat recently passed away but he was good with her as well and also a bird.. He Is very friendly with everyone. He’s a little over a year old so he can be mouthy when playing but he’s never bit anyone. He would rather lay on the couch all day or play with his toys. Bear is house and crate trained, and relies on his family to give him basic commands, which he loves to follow to please and show he is a good boy. He is chill when needed, but also playful with his favorite toys. Bear loves to get rubs and loves being with his favorite people. Penny is a playful and affectionate girl who has spent way too much of her short life in a kennel. Penny is adored by our volunteers, she loves to snuggle on the couch and really enjoys playing ball in the yard. She knows some commands, and is housebroken! But shelter life is really starting to take its toll on Penny. She has become very stressed and can get overwhelmed by too much stimulation. We are looking for an adopter that truly understands the needs of a Rescue Dog like Penny. Someone who realizes that after months of being kenneled, Penny will need time to decompress. She will need time to feel truly comfortable in her new environment. We believe that given that time, Penny will blossom. We believe she will bond deeply with her person(s) and will be a loving and devoted companion. What Penny needs right now is someone willing to step up for this sweet girl, get her out of the kennel and give her the loving home she deserves. Penny needs a quiet, adult only home.
