These stunning, intelligent, and loyal pups will be ready to enter foster-to-adopt homes on March 21 (Born on February 7) to a champion bloodline black mom, and fawn dad. Cane Corsos are a powerful, devoted working breed that thrive with confident, experienced owners who understand large guardian breeds. These puppies will grow into strong, protective, and deeply bonded companions, and they need families prepared to provide structure, training, and lifelong commitment. Ideal Home Requirements: Prior experience with Cane Corsos or similar guardian breeds. Commitment to training, socialization, and leadership. Stable home environment prepared for a large-breed dog. Understanding of the breed’s protective and loyal nature We adopt throughout the East Coast, including: NY, NJ, PA, CT, MA, NH, DE, MD, DC, VT, and ME. Adopters must be available to pick up their puppy in NYC once approved. Exceptions may be made for nearby states, as long as adopters are able to travel to New York City for pickup. Beautiful lady DIDI is finally ready for her forever home! Didi is a 3 year old cane Corso mix and weighs 75 lbs. Prior to being surrendered to the city shelter, Didi came from a busy home, filled with children and dogs - where they were most likely a "backyard breeder" and after a litter or two, felt they no longer needed her. Yet another discarded mother at the overcrowded shelter Didi acted a little strange (reason to be revealed) and ended up on the euthanasia list. Luckily, a kind foster saw her and opened up their heart & home to Didi to see her life....but not only one life was saved that day. Didi's strange behavior was explained when 2 weeks later, her foster woke up to Didi...and 2 newborn puppies! Didi was a good mother to her babies, who quickly got adopted. Now this sweet mama is ready for a forever home of her own!! Didi loves being outside, playing in the yard and is crate trained. She bonds very deeply to her people, often seeking affection, and is happy to simply be by their side. She is a happy, lotal companion. As you can see, she is absolutely gorgeous! Zeus is an 8 year old cane corso mix and weighs 108 lbs. He gets along with other dogs, kids and strangers, but has no experience with cats. In this big frame is a deeply sensitive soul who has so much love to give. Zeus lost the only home he’s ever known when his owner faced serious medical challenges, and he was heartbreakingly surrendered to the shelter. By July 2025, Zeus found himself at risk for euthanasia. Thankfully, Zeus was rescued, but his journey hasn’t been easy. His foster recently fell through, and he is now in a boarding facility in northern NJ. While the staff are kind, boarding is no place for a senior dog who just wants a cozy couch, a soft bed, and someone to love him. Zeus truly is a gem. He’s affectionate, gentle, and full of life. When he’s happy, he doesn’t act like a senior at all and will even burst into joyful zoomies, especially in the snow. He previously and harmoniously lived with a 5-year-old child, and he gets along with other dogs with slow, proper introductions. Zeus desperately needs a foster or adopter who can give him the comfort and stability he deserves. He has so much love left to give and will make his person incredibly happy. Meet Aaliyah - our 6-year-old, 78 pound girl who is 100% love and gentleness. She was brought to the Manhattan ACC shelter after her former owner passed away, and is now thriving in foster care with ELO This beautiful girl is the definition of a low-maintenance, gentle couch potato with a dash of clumsy, endearing goofiness. Aaliyah is fully house trained and crate trained, sleeping peacefully through the night without a peep. Despite her size and strength, she’s an absolute dream on the leash - she walks on a loose leash, loves to sniff, and has not shown any reactivity to other dogs or passing stimuli (and when she does occasionally want to say hi, is easily redirected with her favorite treats - beef liver and cheese!). Aaliyah has a heart full of love for everyone she meets! Once she warms up to you, she is incredibly affectionate with both people (especially loves kids!) and dogs of all sizes. She is currently living with a smaller 30-pound resident dog in her foster home and after slow and thoughtful introductions, they've become best friends - and she is always very respectful of his space and cues. Her sweet, social, and goofy nature makes her a pure joy to be around - she specializes in giving gentle kisses wherever you will let her. She also loves to learn and has already mastered “sit”, "stay", "down", and "crate" during the few weeks she's been in foster care - and is eager to learn more commands, especially when treats are involved. If you’re looking for a mellow, easygoing couch potato and WFH buddy, Aaliyah is your girl. She’s a champion snoozer who loves to mostly lounge the day away either in her crate or on any soft, plush surface - making her perfect for apartment living or anyone who appreciates a calm presence. She’ll happily settle calmly wherever you are, content to just be by your side. When she’s awake, you’ll find her playing with her beloved stuffy toys or rolling over for belly rubs and ear scratches. Aaliyah is also wonderfully patient and comfortable with all kinds of handling (e.g. having her paws wiped after walks), and takes treats incredibly gently even when she's excited. Her foster is currently working on building her confidence when left alone in her crate, which she's made amazing progress on - she will snooze peacefully while you're out if you leave the TV on for her! And while she can be initially a bit reserved around new faces coming into her home, with slow, calm introductions she has learned that strangers aren't so scary after all (especially with slow, calm introductions and lots of treats).
