Story
This sweet cat was abandoned and has been hanging out with me for about a year. He seemed well fed but acted like he hadn’t had a meal in months. So I named him Frank Abagnale after the con artist depicted in the movie Catch Me if You Can. He finally came in the house a few months ago because something in the woods scared him. He likes to go out during the day, but seems fine indoors. He is extremely sweet and loves attention. Unfortunately my other cat does not like him at all so I have to keep them separated. For this reason I’m unable to give him all the love he deserves and it’s becoming more stressful for me and my cat. He loves the litter box, his cat bed and belly scratches. I will provide the cat bed, 1 month of food and his favorite toys.

Story
We adopted Luna as a kitten in March of 2020. She is the sweetest cat and gets along with our two dogs and other cat. She does well with kids and is virtually silent. She only meows if you accidentally get her tail. She would be the perfect cat if it were not for the fact the she will periodically decide to not pee in the litter box. She will always poop in it. But randomly she decides that the litter no longer suits her urinating needs! Luna could not be a sweeter cat! We have tried every option we can think of to get her to pee in the litter box exclusively (vet visits, pheromone therapy, multiple different litters and boxes). So, please know that going into this adoption. Other than that she is the perfect cat with the best disposition for a family or individual looking for a loving companion that will enjoy cuddles at the desk or night time movies on the couch! If interested in bringing Luna into your family, we'd love for you to meet her and offer her a loving home!

Story
This adorable 2yo black and white tuxedo kitty needs a forever home that will love her as much as she will love you. She is super affectionate, talkative, social, fun, and healthy. Super super cute, she likes to gallop around the house and play. She is small and chubby! I rescued her and have gotten her spayed and healthy and she needs a family that can give her lots of one-on-one attention. She gets along with other cats and dogs after getting used to them but will be happiest as an only cat. I can give you one large cat tree to take home so she will have something that smells familiar. She is very sweet and domesticated, so you cannot let her outside - she does not know how to keep away from danger, the street, dogs, feral cats, etc. She needs to be 100% indoors though she will try hard to get out the door and explore so watch out! She is litter-box trained and has never had even one accident outside the box. She literally responds with a little meow when you talk to her.

Story
Hi there! This kitty is Loki the girl cat. Loki's owner died a few years ago and Loki has been in foster care ever since. She's about 5 years old now, vocal, BIG fan of pillows, loves perches near windows, obsessed with dogs, and typically prefers to be petted with your eyes. Yeah. Loki is extremely particular over who can pet her when. Her current foster (Loki's former Mom's sister) hasn't cracked the code. Loki will often meow and rub up against her humans, occasionally even allowing a pet! But if you pet too long or read the signs wrong, she slaps your hand (no claws used) and runs away. However, former owner's Mom is able to get a lot farther with Loki so we know there is hope for this cat. She was amazing with her original owner and we know she can be amazing with the right person again, we just need to find him/her. While Loki is people selective and shy at new places, she actually really likes sitting in the same room as people. She might not get in your lap (she did for last owner) but she loves being near you. She is also a HUGE FAN of all dogs. She meows at them, rubs against their legs, shares her food, and generally does really well with new dogs (of any size). She previously lived with 5 other cats (all of him who have been long sense adopted by now) and did well with her brother and another cat... She hasn't made any feline friends in her current foster home but is working on it. Look, we know this is a long shot. Loki will be amazing for the right person and we know she can be a loving cat, we just need someone to see her, fall in love, and give her the opportunity to blossom. 🌟🐾 Meet Phantom Menace! 🐾🌟 This sweet 4–5 month old domestic shorthair kitten may have a fierce name, but she’s really just a playful little lovebug. 💕 ✨ About Phantom Menace: • Super playful — she dances and hops with excitement over new treats and toys 🎉 • Greets her humans with sweet calls when they come home or when she’s feeling a little lonely 🐾 • Loves pouncing and playing with her Great Dane nanny 🐕 and gets along wonderfully with the other cats in her foster home 🐈🐈 • Litter box pro ✅ and has shown no destructive behavior • Enjoys fresh air time in the catio 🌿 • Independent enough to entertain herself, but happiest when hanging out with her kitty friends 💙 Phantom Menace can be a little nervous with new people or places at first, but once she feels safe, her playful and affectionate personality shines through. ✨ 🏡 Ideal Home: She would do best in a home with another playful cat or pet buddy, along with space to run, play, and explore. If you’re looking for a fun, sweet, and spirited kitten to brighten your days, Phantom Menace is ready to steal your heart (in the gentlest way possible). 💫 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
