Story
We got him as a baby in August of 2015. He began as my daughter’s baby but then became my Mom’s. She passed away in 2021 and I sold her house last year. I had been staying there on and off just for the cats. I then moved full time to Gardendale. I had two cats of my own but moved him in with us and he just doesn’t like the other cats. He loves to go outside, but has been unable to because of neighbors dogs. He lived in the country before with no other animals to bother him, and would come and go off of the screened in porch as he pleased throughout the day. He had to be in before dark so the night time animals wouldn’t get him. He’s affectionate on his terms and loves to drink from the faucet. I truly love him and want him to be somewhere that he can go outside again and enjoy being a cat again.

Story
Jasmine is a very sweet old lady (9 years old) who LOVES people. She has never met a stranger! She may have an R.B.F., but it’s a mask of the true sweetheart she is. She’s very quiet and calm, but she will play with toys if you engage with her! She loves to sleep next to you and cuddle you, but she’s not super good with other cats. I’ve previously had two other cats live with me while having her, and she is very antisocial towards them. She isn’t physically aggressive but she will hiss at them. Besides that, Jasmine truly is one of the best cats I’ve ever had and would be an amazing first cat for a new owner! She has a sensitive tummy so please no “people food”! I am looking for someone who will give her the love she deserves and an amazing rest of her life. I will have a vet history paper ready upon adoption. :)

Story
Joshua found under a tree during a thunderstorm. Joshua was almost unresponsive and needed immediate medical care. Early in life, this poor little guy has struggled with maintaining his weight and staying hydrated. While in rescue, he was diagnosed with seizure disorder, but happily, he has responded brilliantly to his daily anti-seizure medication and hasn’t had a seizure since his medication was started in summer 2024. Joshua is a quirky lil guy. When overstimulated or stressed, he becomes overwhelmed and quickly seeks food as a way to sooth his anxiety (don’t we all?). He has kitty OCD, which makes him highly focused on daily routines and habits. But, as Joshy has gotten older, his quirks have smoothed out a bit. These days, he will join you on the couch in the evenings for some pets and company, he will play with a teaser toy, and he even gives lip kisses - but sometimes he misses. But given all of that, Joshua is simply the sweetest lil guy and everyone absolutely adores him. He is wonderful with dogs (and cats), of any temperament, because he really doesn’t pay any attention to anything except his food. Joshua is a long-haired tuxedo.

Story
Little Monica was wandering alone, as a tiny little kitten, around an apartment complex. She was very scared and extremely malnourished. She is semi-feral and initially was very cautious around humans, but she gets more and more comfortable and affectionate with us with each day, in fact she’s turned into quite a sweet lil lap cat (when a treat is involved). She is a Churu thief - she loves these little creamy treats and will do practically anything for them. Being with other kittens and cats is calming and reassuring for her. She would do well in a house with another cat for support. Monica is unique in that she is a bobtail (Manx)
