Story
Irene is a 2 year old calico that belonged to my grandmother. We rescued her as a kitten less than 4 weeks olds from the engine bay of a vehicle at Waffle House. She was raised at my grandmothers house as a semi outdoor/indoor cat who would spend most of her time outside playing and stalking rodents. My grandmother had to move to assisted living and then Irene came into my ownership. Our reasoning for seeking a new home is that we live in an apartment and spend less than 3 hours a night at home awake with her. She has had trouble transitioning into apartment living as her passions are playing and adventure. We believe Irene would thrive in an environment where she lives with other energetic animals or children, and has a yard to call her own. Shes the happiest when she has your full attention, and purrs the most when playing hide and seek. She gets along well with dogs after spending time with them, and loves kids. She loves picking her person for a snuggle. Irene has endless love.

Story
This sweet cat was abandoned and has been hanging out with me for about a year. He seemed well fed but acted like he hadn’t had a meal in months. So I named him Frank Abagnale after the con artist depicted in the movie Catch Me if You Can. He finally came in the house a few months ago because something in the woods scared him. He likes to go out during the day, but seems fine indoors. He is extremely sweet and loves attention. Unfortunately my other cat does not like him at all so I have to keep them separated. For this reason I’m unable to give him all the love he deserves and it’s becoming more stressful for me and my cat. He loves the litter box, his cat bed and belly scratches.

Story
I adopted Patty after my husband passed away. She is very sweet but she and I haven’t been a good fit together. She gets visibly happier when a man is at my house. I think she needs a man in the house to be truly happy. When I adopted her, she was about 2-3 years old. She was available because her owner had passed away. I wonder if she just misses him. She is very sweet though, so I’ve tried for about 3 years to make it work. I miss having a snuggly cat that climbs up on me to be pet. She whines a lot for food and I’ll admit that I hate to hear her crying for food. So she could stand to lose a few pounds. She has been around my grandchildren and we haven’t had any problems. She isn’t lovey dovey with them, but she doesn’t mind them petting or brushing her. Patty is super sweet and a good cat - I think she would be happier with a man and I would like for her to have a truly happy life.

Story
Leo seeks attention and enjoys stroking - mind you, he -**likes to be the one initiating the attention sessions. At other times, he is an artist in lounging. Leo cuts a striking pose that looks fantastic but is really all about just kicking back and being comfy. Need Leo as your artistic muse in life? He is ready to move on in, so long as your home is dog-free (he really, REALLY dislikes dogs).     Did you know? FIV+ cats can live long lives and share homes with other cats.
