Story
Leo (born October 24, 2024) is one of the sweetest, most affectionate cats you will ever meet. The definition of a cuddle bug who was raised in a home with cats and dogs, and gets along wonderfully with both. Leo absolutely loves playing chase with his feline brothers and wrestling with his canine sister. He sometimes gets so excited during a game of tag that he’ll run headfirst into the wall, and then yell at you like he thinks you put the wall there to spite him. He has the softest fur and a charmingly curious personality. Leo is fascinated by running water and will spend plenty of time simply watching it if he has the chance. He’s also very talkative and isn’t shy about letting you know what’s on his mind. Like many cats, he appreciates a clean litter box and will definitely voice his opinion if cleaning day gets delayed. Leo would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for an affectionate, playful, and entertaining addition to their family.

Story
Calypso (Picture 1) and Boba (Picture 2) are being re-homed together. A mother/daughter pair, Caly becomes anxious when separated from her mom. Boba came into our home after hitching a ride in the engine bay of a car for the duration of a multi-hour trip on the interstate. She is a little shy at first but warms up pretty quickly. Caly, however, is much more shy than her mother. Even so, she adores wet food and will usually tolerate the humans who offer it. She tends to prefer animal company to human company and has had no issues with any of the other cats or dogs in the house. Boba is a pretty standard shorthair calico. Caly, a calico colorpoint with extremely soft fur, was born solid white and her coloring slowly developed as she grew.

Story
Hello. My name is Harmonie, and I have just one question... Have you considered a career as a Professional Booty Scratcher? Experience isn't necessary. I'll provide all the training. You see, I came to the shelter as a stray, and I'm not gonna lie... this place is LOUD. There are dogs barking, people walking by, doors opening and closing... it's basically a never-ending concert that nobody bought tickets for. So at first, I was a little nervous. Can you blame me? But then... someone discovered The Spot™. A few booty scratches later... PURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Congratulations! You have successfully activated my internal motorboat. Once I know you're nice, I'm a super sweet girl who loves attention. I'll happily hang out with you, ask for pets, and reward your efforts with enough purring to register on the Richter scale. Now, before anyone gets carried away... literally... I'm more of a "love me while my feet stay on the ground" kind of gal. I enjoy affection. I enjoy booty scratches. I enjoy quality time. Being carried around like royalty? Respectfully... absolutely not. I'm perfectly capable of walking myself to the snack bowl. I'm scheduled to be spayed on July 14th, and after that I'll be officially ready to start my next chapter with a family who understands that the quickest way to my heart is through a few well-timed scratches near the base of my tail. My adoption fee is sponsored and reduced to just $40, and that includes my spay, vaccines, vet exam, fecal test for parasites, basic dewormer, and microchip. If you're looking for a sweet companion with a deluxe purr machine, excellent manners, and a strict "No Unnecessary Lifting" policy... I think we should meet. Call 256-362-5856 to schedule an appointment. Sincerely, Harmonie CEO of the Booty Scratch Appreciation SocietyJuly 9, 2026, 5:01 pm

Story
ATTENTION, PEASANTS YOUR QUEEN IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS.  Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Flossie Mae, a 1½-year-old long-haired brown tabby with enough fluff and elegance to make your throw pillows question their purpose. I've spent enough time roughing it. I'm officially retiring from all that nonsense. I'm looking for a nice, climate-controlled home where my biggest daily decisions are: Which window has the best sunbeam? Which blanket is the softest? Should I nap before my snack... or after it? (These are important matters.) I'm a super sweet girl who absolutely loves attention. In fact, unlike some cats who act like you've committed a federal crime by picking them up... I don't even mind being carried around. Need to show me off to your friends? Acceptable. Want to carry me to the couch because you don't feel like getting up twice? Also acceptable. Want to cradle me like the beautiful, fluffy masterpiece that I am? Finally... someone understands. I'm pretty chill. I don't have time for unnecessary drama. I'm simply searching for a forever family who appreciates the finer things in life—soft beds, gentle pets, regular meals, and the understanding that I should never have to worry about paying rent. I'm already spayed and current on my vaccines, so I'm ready to pack my imaginary suitcase and move in today! My adoption fee is sponsored and reduced to just $40, and that also includes my microchip before I go home with you. So if you've been looking for a sweet, fluffy roommate who brings unconditional love, requires very little maintenance, and will happily let you carry her around like feline royalty... Congratulations. Your search is over. Call 256-362-5856 to schedule an appointment and come meet me. With love (and just a tiny bit of royal confidence), Flossie Mae Professional Fluff. Amateur Aristocrat. Future Queen of Your Living Room.July 9, 2026, 5:01 pm

Story
WANTED: A Human With Better Judgment Than My Last One Hi. I'm Meg. I'm estimated to be about 1 year old, which is honestly WAY too young to have already lived through a whole season of Dumpster: The Reality Show.Someone decided the perfect place for me and my babies was... behind a motel dumpster. Classy, right?  Zero stars. Would not recommend. Thankfully, some kind humans found us before we had to start paying rent to the raccoons. The good news? My kittens are all grown up and old enough to be weaned. They've officially moved out of Mom's Tiny Apartment, and next week I'm getting spayed, which means this mama is RETIRING. No more diaper duty. No more midnight feedings. No more toddlers climbing on my head while I'm trying to nap. I'm being promoted from Full-Time Mom to Full-Time Princess, and frankly, it's the career change I've been waiting for.Now it's my turn to be spoiled. Everyone here says I'm incredibly sweet. I love people, I enjoy attention, and I'm ready to trade dumpster life for couch life. I'm looking for a family that believes a queen belongs on a soft blanket instead of behind a motel. My adoption fee is sponsored and reduced to just $40, and that includes my spay, vaccines, vet exam, fecal test for parasites, basic dewormer, and microchip. So... what do you say? Let's make the motel dumpster the weird backstory we laugh about years from now while I'm stretched across your bed pretending I pay the mortgage. If you'd like to meet me, please call 256-362-5856 to schedule an appointment. Love, Meg (Former Dumpster Diva. Future Professional Couch Potato.) July 9, 2026, 10:22 am

Story
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: A tiny gray tabby has escaped the Cute Police and is currently searching for a forever home. Hi! I'm Jack, a 12-week-old gray tabby with enough personality to fill a stadium... despite weighing about as much as a bag of sugar. I'm an Olympic-level zoomie athlete, part-time professional biscuit maker, and full-time investigator of absolutely everything. What's behind that door? Mine to inspect. What's in that box? Mine now. Why are your feet moving under the blanket? Clearly they require immediate bunny kicks. I've already been neutered, I'm current on my vaccines and flea prevention, and I'll be microchipped before I head home with you. I've basically handled all the grown-up responsibilities so I can focus on the important things—like convincing you that your keyboard is actually my bed. My adoption fee is sponsored and reduced to just $40! I'm ready to pack my imaginary suitcase and move in TODAY. All I need is a family who appreciates laughter, cuddles, and the occasional midnight sprint through the hallway for reasons I'll never explain. Want to meet me (or my equally adorable gray tabby partner in crime, Diane)? Call 256-362-5856 to schedule an appointment. Adopt me before I convince the shelter staff that I should be promoted to Assistant Manager. July 9, 2026, 10:22 am
