Story

Maven was born in the wild and came into our care when she was just two months old. Although she missed out on some of those important early socialization experiences, she is making wonderful progress and continues to become more confident every week.Maven is now brave enough to accept pets and absolutely loves being scratched and gently touched once she feels safe and secure. She is also curious about other animals, but Maven does worry about other cats bullying her and so a home with no other pets would be fine for her.For now, Maven can still feel frightened and vulnerable when she has access to an entire house. She is much more comfortable and confident in a smaller, quieter room where she feels secure. With time, patience, and plenty of positive experiences, we expect her confidence to continue growing as she learns that larger spaces can be safe too.Maven's ideal home would likely be with adults who understand that building trust takes time, perhaps in a multi-pet household with proven cat friendly cats and with people who have experience with shy or fearful cats. Most importantly, she needs a patient home willing to let her progress at her own pace.Maven has already come such a long way, and with the right home, we believe she can continue blossoming into a loving, affectionate, and wonderful feline companion. At this time young children would be too much for Maven. As Maven has not yet been spayed, she will not be available to take home until after October 7th.If Maven sounds like she might be the one for you, please fill out an adoption application below:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tabby Weight: 1.29 Age: 0yrs 3mths 1wks

Story

Pickleball is a handsome 1-year-old black and white boy who is looking for a patient and loving home where he can continue to build his confidence.Pickleball came to us after living outside on a property with a large group of other cats. Because of his background, he is on the shyer side and will need some time, patience, and gentle encouragement while he gets comfortable with his new surroundings and people. The way to Pickleball's heart may just be through his stomach! He absolutely loves his wet food, lick tubes, and treats, which are wonderful tools for helping him learn that people can be pretty great. With time and positive interactions, we think this sweet boy will continue to come out of his shell and show more of his personality. He loves the company of other cats and would thrive with a cat friendly brother or sister.Pickleball is looking for someone who understands that the best relationships take time. If you can give him the patience and quiet environment he needs to settle in, you may be rewarded with a very special companion as his confidence grows. Please submit an application through the link below!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 4.3 Age: 1yrs 1mths 0wks

House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,

Story

Bonnie and Clyda are a bonded pair who came to us through no fault of their own. These two sweet ladies can be a little unsure in new surroundings, but once they're comfortable, all they really want is love, attention, and plenty of belly rubs! They came from a quiet senior home where they were spoiled, so shelter life has been a big change for them. We think they would thrive in a quieter home where they can settle in at their own pace, get comfortable with a routine, and truly come out of their shells.Bonnie and Clyda are both carrying some extra weight, with Clyda especially benefiting from a little help getting to a healthier weight. Their future family should be prepared to work with them gradually to help them look and feel their best.If you're looking for two very sweet ladies to fill your home with love (and hopefully give lots of belly rubs!), Bonnie and Clyda may be the pair for you! Please fill out an adoption application below:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 4.6 Age: 2yrs 4mths 4wks

Story

Meet Tikka! 🐾Tikka is a sweet 1-year-old tabby and white girl who is looking for a quiet, patient home where she can take her time getting comfortable. She came to us after living outdoors on a property with other cats and didn't have much human interaction, so she can be a little shy and unsure at first.Since arriving, Tikka has been living with Keema, another shy young kitty who came from the same property. Having a familiar feline friend around has helped give her some company and comfort while she adjusts to her new surroundings. She may also do well with another friendly cat in her new home, with slow and proper introductions.Tikka will need some time and patience as she learns that people can be pretty great! With a calm environment and someone willing to let her go at her own pace, we think she'll continue to come out of her shell and show off her sweet personality. If you're looking for a quieter kitty and are willing to give her the time she needs to blossom, Tikka could be your girl! 🩷Please submit an application through the link below!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/?internal_referrer=adopt.spca.bc.ca Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 2.85 Age: 1yrs 0mths 2wks

Story

Cleo is a sweet 9-year-old tabby point and white lady who is looking for a loving new home.Cleo was very loved by her previous family, who adopted her in 2020 and fell in love with her right away. She has always been an indoor-only cat and lived in a quiet home as the only pet. She can be shy when meeting new people or experiencing new surroundings, but with a little time and patience, she becomes a friendly and affectionate companion.Cleo loves being brushed, especially when treats are involved afterward! She also enjoys cozy beds, and all the comforts of home. Her slightly crossed eyes only add to her adorable charm. She has lived with a friendly dog in the past, although she has primarily been an only pet.Cleo was surrendered because her senior adopters were no longer able to care for her. They loved her dearly and want nothing more than for her to find another wonderful home.*Cleo recently had a large dental and had 9 teeth extracted. She is healing from this procedure but will be ready for her forever home soon*Cleo may need a little time to settle in, but with kindness and patience, she is sure to be a wonderful companion. Please submit an application through the link below!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tabby Point Secondary Color: White Weight: 5.1 Age: 9yrs 8mths 1wks
