Story
Some kittens leave a mark on your heart forever, and Benji is one of those kittens.Benji came into BC SPCA care at approximately 8 weeks old after being found alone in a barn, trembling and needing help. From the beginning, it was clear that Benji was a very special little guy.Benji has a medical condition that will require lifelong management and ongoing medication. He currently takes a liquid medication by syringe every 12 hours, which has become a normal part of his daily routine. Since he is still growing, his medication needs have required adjustments as he gets bigger, under the guidance of his veterinarian. His future family should be prepared to continue working closely with their veterinarian to monitor his health and maintain his medication schedule throughout his life.Despite everything he has faced, Benji has continued to amaze everyone around him. Through months of patience, consistency, medication, and lots of love, he has grown into a happy, affectionate, and playful young kitten who refuses to let anything slow him down.Benji has a unique way of moving through the world, but he has adapted wonderfully and continues to gain strength and confidence every day. One of his most adorable quirks is that he often "hops like a little bunny" when he runs around! He uses his litter box well, eats and drinks independently, and enjoys life just like any other kitten.Benji absolutely LOVES people and wants nothing more than to be close to his humans. He enjoys being held, carried around, and receiving as many cuddles as possible. Whether you're relaxing on the couch or moving around the house, Benji wants to be part of whatever you're doing. He's also quite the little chatterbox and has the sweetest collection of chirps, squeaks, and tiny meows to share with you.Like any kitten, Benji loves to play, explore, and chase toys, but he's just as happy curling up for a cuddle when playtime is over.Benji is now over five months old and doing incredibly well. He continues to grow stronger every day and has made amazing progress with the help of his foster family. While his medical needs will be lifelong, they are only one small part of who he is. Benji is a loving, goofy, adventurous kitten who wants to experience life just like any other cat.Benji is currently in foster care with four other cats and absolutely loves having feline friends. He enjoys their companionship, playtime, and the routine of living alongside other cats. A home with another friendly, gentle, and respectful cat would likely be ideal for him. His perfect feline companion would be someone patient and understanding of his unique way of moving and playing. As always, a slow and proper introduction will help everyone adjust.Benji is also comfortable wearing a harness and enjoys little adventures. He travels very well, making car rides and vet visits much easier than you might expect.Benji's ideal home will be with someone who understands that special-needs pets require a little extra time, patience, and commitment-but they give so much love in return. He would do best with an adopter who is home often, can maintain his medication schedule, and wants to celebrate all of the little victories that make Benji so special.Benji isn't looking for someone to feel sorry for him-he's looking for someone who sees the happy, playful, affectionate kitten underneath it all. The little orange tabby who hops like a bunny, makes the cutest sounds, loves endlessly, and just wants to be as close to his people as possible. If you're looking for a truly unforgettable companion, Benji may be the special kitten you've been waiting for. Please note: Benji is currently living in foster care, so if you'd like to meet him, we kindly ask for a little advance notice so we can arrange to have him brought into the shelter for a meet and greet. Please submit an application through the link below for this one-of-a-kind little guy!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Orange Tabby Weight: 3.1 Age: 0yrs 6mths 1wks

Introducing, Valencia!Valencia is a young lass in need of a home to grow-up in. She is a mere few weeks old and has her entire life ahead of her. Valencia has spent much time in foster surrounded by her siblings and is used to other cats. A confident and established cat could help Valencia come out of her shell in a new environment. Her foster home also said she is good with friendly dogs and with respectful children. She said that Valencia is a quieter kitten; she likes to observe her surroundings before joining in. Although she can't resist a wand toy or a good old paper towel roll.If you have any interest for Valencia, please submit an application today!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Cream Ginger Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 1.3 Age: 0yrs 3mths 0wks

Story
Meet Lily 🐾Lily is a lovely 10-year-old girl looking for a new beginning after the heartbreaking loss of her owner. When Lily first came into our care, she was very scared and unsure of her surroundings. Thankfully, she is starting to feel more comfortable and is coming out of her shell a little more every day.Lily has a bit of sass and spice to her personality, but underneath it all is a sweet girl who is learning that she is safe and loved. She would do best in a quiet, peaceful home where she can take things at her own pace and have a little time to settle in.Lily is looking for someone who will appreciate her unique personality and give her the patience and understanding she needs to truly blossom. With time, she could be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a mature cat to share a quiet life with.Could you be the person to give Lily the safe, loving home where she can continue coming out of her shell? ❤️https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-shuswap/ Primary Color: Torbie Secondary Color: White Weight: 4.77 Age: 10yrs 0mths 2wks
