Story
Meet Spirit and Free:Spirit and Free are an inseparable pair of handsome bonded seniors. These two came into our care together and rely deeply on one another for comfort and confidence, so they must be adopted as a pair. Here in the shelter, both boys are still quite shy, taking their time to get comfortable in a busy environment. Spirit has a soft and gentle nature, greeting familiar faces with soft chirps and gentle meows. He loves nothing more than being bundled up in a cozy blanket like a burrito. His calm nature provides steady reassurance for Free. Free is more reserved and sensitive, still learning to trust people and preferring to warm up slowly. When Spirit is close by, Free's confidence grows and his sweet personality shines through.Their bond is truly special, and we are confident that in a quiet, patient, and loving home, these boys will flourish. With time, understanding, and the comfort of each other, Spirit and Free have every opportunity to become affectionate, loyal companions.**Spirit is available foster to adopt as he is currently awaiting dental surgery booked March 17, this means that adopters must be willing to travel to any and all vet appointments until after his dental is complete and his adoption is finalized**If you're looking to welcome a pair of gentle, bonded brothers who will thrive with kindness and consistency, Spirit and Free may be the perfect duo for you.Spirit is available as a Foster to Adopt until his dental surgery. Story
Hobbes is a debonair, long-legged tabby gentleman who loves attention and will flop at your feet waiting for pets. He came to the SPCA after his previous guardian sadly passed away. He enjoys lazy naps and yummy snacks...maybe a bit too much as he has developed a bit of a big tummy and would benefit from a healthy diet to help him get trim. He is a very friendly and affectionate guy though may be a bit nervous and anxious at first in a new environment. He's used to a quiet adult home so would likely do best in a new home without young children, though older cat savvy kids may be fine. Hobbes has lived with other cats before and may be fine with other animals with proper, slow introductions. Hobbes has medial patellar luxation (MPL). Cats with this condition have "loose" kneecaps that occasionally slide out of the normal position and slip toward the inside of thecat's leg. Most cats with this condition appear normal most of the time, but when the kneecap slides out of place they will "skip" or "kick" out the affected back leg to slide the kneecap back into place. Cats with MPL should always be maintained at a healthy weight and should not be allowed to becomeoverweight because this places more demand on their joints. Overall Hobbes is a handsome and affectionate cat who will make a great addition to the right home. Could he be the match for you? Story
Kovu is a handsome, outgoing young cat who loves attention and isn't shy about asking for it-often loudly. He's a big talker, a playful explorer, and a total shoulder cat who will happily perch on you when you least expect it. Once settled, he balances his curious, energetic side with plenty of chill cuddle time.He thrives with lots of enrichment: tall scratching posts, toys, climbing spots, and safe outdoor access like a catio. With training, he could even make a great adventure cat.Kovu has a history of urinary issues (Idiopathic Cystitis) and needs to stay on a lifelong Urinary Stress diet to keep him healthy and prevent litter box problems. He'll do best in a calm home without other animals or young children to keep his stress low.In the right environment, Kovu can truly shine. Could you be the one to give him the life he's been waiting for?If you are interested in adopting, please apply in person or online at the link below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 6.07 Age: 1yrs 8mths 1wks

Story
McFlurry is a gentle, affectionate little kitten with a heart as soft as her name suggests. She's suspected to have hydrocephalus, which can sometimes make litter box use challenging. While she may have the occasional accident, her foster family has seen wonderful progress- with a consistent, attentive routine, McFlurry makes a genuine effort to use her litter box every time. This loving girl adores being close to her humans. Whether she's curled up for snuggles or watching TV by your side, McFlurry is happiest when she's sharing moments with the people she trusts. She currently lives comfortably with a friendly, social cat and could happily share her home with another calm, companionable feline friend.McFlurry is looking for a patient adopter who can offer her structure, understanding, and lots of love. In return, she'll give endless cuddles, sweetness, and the joy of watching a resilient little kitten thrive. Primary Color: Lynx Point Weight: 2.27 Age: 0yrs 7mths 0wks
