Story
Introducing Dunebug, from our Bug litter. Dunebug and his siblings were found after being abandoned when they were quite young. They grew up in a family home but the finder was unable to keep them so surrendered them to unsure they could find great homes. Dunebug is the most quiet bug, and can be fairly shy. He is quite bonded to his brother, Lovebug, and we'd like to see them go to a home together. Lovebug helps to booster Dunebug's courage. When he feels brave, he will join a lap for a cuddle and shake the walls with his loud purring! It just takes him a bit of time to learn to trust new people. Since Dunbeug is a bit shy, this pair is looking for a more quiet home without children or rambunctious dogs. They would be fine in a home with an existing cat, or by themselves. For more information about Lovebug & Dunebug, please contact us at victoriapets@gmail.com or go to https://victoriapets.ca/adoption-process/ to fill out an adoption application.

Story
Stevie & Marvin are a pair of tight-knit brothers who are looking for a home together. They are young (1.5 years), playful, affectionate, and handsome - the whole package! Stevie is a sweet guy who is becoming more friendly and cuddly every day. He started off a little bit shy but has really been coming out of his shell as he's gotten to know his foster family. Stevie is always curious about what his foster mom is doing, especially when it involves running water in the kitchen or the bathroom. He is the more eccentric of the two cats. Stevie loves jingly toys and pieces of plastic. Hair elastics are his absolute favourite and he makes it his mission to drown every elastic he finds in his water bowl. When he's done playing, Stevie loves getting scratches around his chin and his back!! Marvin started out quite curious and social and is the more quick to adapt of the two cats, however, he can sometimes he a bit nervous when someone is walking around the house in shoes or moves too quickly near him. He seems especially skittish around legs and feet. However, if you're sitting down relaxing, he likes to be near you. Marvin is the lower-energy of the two cats. He has a beautiful singing voice, he really enjoys cardboard boxes, and he loves looking out the windows. Marvin plays less intensely with toys than his brother, but the two play very nicely with each other and get along so well. They spend most of their time near each other, nuzzling and chirping. They prefer to eat together. They both really enjoy anything with catnip in it! The ideal home for this pair is one that is lower on the energy scale, but also one that can accommodate and enrich both of them. They will be very happy and enriched in a spacious home (not a small apartment or suite) with lots or room to explore. They will do well with teens and will seek out social interaction. Neither has any experience with dogs, and due to Marvin's nervousness around legs and feet that move fast, a home with younger children or high-energy teens wont be the right fit. Story
Kaiser and his mom, Queenie, are a bonded pair who are looking for a home together. They are both young cats who had a difficult start to life and would love to find the perfect home where they can thrive. Queenie was rescued from a hoarding situation when she was heavily pregnant. Soon after, she gave birth to a litter of kittens, which included Kaiser. Queenie was a wonderful mom and many of her kittens were adopted quickly, however, at only 10 weeks of age Kaiser was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP.) Fortunately, Kaiser not only survived FIP, but he has beaten it and is a very happy, healthy boy now. Since Queenie and Kaiser have been through so much together, they really love each other and are very bonded. It will be important for them to go to a home where they can stay together. Kaiser was born in July 2024, so at the time of posting this bio he is 9 months old. He's got a gorgeous, fluffy, brown tabby coat and a sweet personality to go with it. It can take Kaiser a little bit of time to get used to new people but once he knows you he's quite interactive. He can be chatty sometimes but he's not loud, and he has a wonderful purr. Kaiser likes to play, but since he's no longer a small kitten he isn't a high-energy cat. He does enjoy climbing and being high up on his scratch post. He's not much of a lap cat, but likes to be involved with what's going on and likes to be near you. Queenie is a young adult and is estimated to be about 21 months old at the time of posting (estimated birthday in the summer of 2023.) She has a sleek black coat on a petite frame. Like Kaiser, Queenie is interactive and likes to know what's going on around her but she's more reserved than Kaiser is. She wasn't treated very well during her first year of life, so it takes her a little while to get used to new people. Once she knows you, she will rub up against your legs and purr. Queenie does not like to be picked up and is nervous of having her head touched, but she enjoys back rubs and butt pets. Kaiser helps Queenie come out of her shell; they're a good team. Since both of these kitties came from a home full of other cats, they get along well with others. They are used to other young cats of both genders, and get along as long as the other cats are nice to them. They're both playful and Queenie is a wonderful hunter if you have a feather toy on a stick for her to pounce on. Both kitties are young and playful. Neither of these cats will do well in a home with dogs or with children. They need an adult-only home. They are comfortable with other cats but since Queenie came from an environment where she had to compete for food, she does hoover her food quickly and has taught this trait to Kaiser. Therefore, they need to be in a home where they are meal fed. If they are allowed to free fee, they will become obese very quickly. Queenie does not do well in confined spaces (especially carriers) so she will not be a good cat for someone who wishes to travel with their pet. Putting her in a carrier is very traumatic for Queenie. Therefore, this pair will only be available for adoption within the Victoria area (close to where they are currently fostered). If you're interested in this lovely pair, please visit our website at https://victoriapets.ca/adoption-process/ for information regarding our adoption process and for a copy of our online adoption application.

Introducing Lovebug, from our Bug litter. Lovebug and his siblings were found after being abandoned when they were quite young. They grew up in a family home but the finder was unable to keep them so surrendered them to unsure they could find great homes. Lovebug is our most petite bug and lives up to his name! Hes very social, is full of snuggles and kisses, loves to play with toys and his siblings, and absolutely LOVES to love! This little guy is very people-centric and wants to be in a home with someone who is around a lot. He just loves cuddling and doesn't enjoy being alone. Lovebug is quite bonded to his brother, Dunebug, and we'd like ot see the two of them adopted together. Dunebug is more shy than Lovebug and the latter helps Dunebug gain confidence about the world. Story
This stunning seal point kitty with the bright blue eyes is Zoey. She is a Siamese diva who is looking for just the right home to suit her needs. Someone who lives a laid back lifestyle in a quiet home will be ideal. Zoey's new person should be willing to provide small and gentle amounts of affection on Zoey's terms (not terribly often) and also will follow a routine feeding regimen (much to Zoey's dismay). This girl knows what she wants when she wants it. She's independent and sassy. Although Zoey is definitely not a lap cat and does not often ask for attention, she does like to be around people on her own terms. She was slow to come around, but now spends quite a bit of time with her fosters and will seek them out (although her tolerance for being touched or petted hasn't really increased.) When Zoey is feeling receptive, she allows some gentle scratching under her chin and on the back of her neck, as well as a few pets. If you continue petting Zoey past her limit, she will let you know that she's had enough. She does enjoy being talked to but prefers if you keep your hands to yourself. She has become interested in playing on a routine basis, usually in the evening and sometimes in the morning also. She isn't generally a fast moving cat so it can be almost like playing in slow motion, but she does obviously enjoy it and is entertained. About 10-15 minutes a session is usually enough. Despite Zoey's low interest level in affection, she is often found waiting in the hall to greet her foster family if they've been out of the house for any period of time. Zoey is a low maintenance cat who doesn't need a large area to run around in. She has the zoomies occasionally, but rarely runs anywhere otherwise. Like any cat, she likes looking out the window but really wants an easy access route. This girl is quite lazy! What Zoey really wants is to get right into bed with you; right between the sheets. She also enjoys sleeping right under a light blanket on top of a bed (preferably the bed her people use.) She's quirky, what can we say? She is also a cat that enjoys having lots of surfaces to scratch. Trimming her nails isn't something Zoey enjoys, so having lots of both horizontal and vertical surfaces for her to scratch on is important. We're unsure why, but Zoey seems to gravitate towards the men in her foster family more so than the women (although she is happy to spend time around both men and women.) Her foster mom (despite being very gentle with Zoey) also seems to attract more sass from miss diva than her foster dad does. As well, Zoey uses her mouth to communicate with her foster mom if she thinks it's time to eat or play. She does not use her mouth on her foster dad. We don't know why she's more comfortable with men than women in general, but it's an interesting thing to note. Zoey will do best in a quiet home with 1 or 2 calm, cat-experienced adults. It will be really important that Zoey's new family can read her body language to know when it's appropriate to give affection and when she needs space. Zoey has no experience with other animals (cats or dogs) and doesn't give the impression she's looking for company. She will not be a suitable cat for a home with children. Since she's fairly independent, it probably doesn't matter too much whether Zoey's new family is home for much of the day or works. Thus far, Zoey has been used to living with retired folks who are home most of the day. Zoey was surrendered to us because her senior owners were moving into a care home. The change was very difficult for her and it took her a long time to settle in. Therefore, we are looking for a home for Zoey where she is unlikely to have to endure another move at any point in her future. She turned 5 years old in August 2025, so we hope that she has another 10-15 years + ahead of her. Zoey gets very stressed in the care, so at this time we are only considering homes for her that are in the Greater Victoria/Peninsula area (south of Duncan.) If you'd like to apply to adopt Zoey, please visit the adoption section of our website at https://victoriapets.ca/adoption process/.
