Story
Hello my name is Nala!💖I really am one of the best cats ever, and let me tell you all the reasons why anyone would be so lucky to have me as their new best friend!1. I am an 8 year old lady with wonderful manners, I don't make mess or get into things I shouldn't. I am neat and tidy in my litter box, I won't scratch things that aren't for scratching and I am all around a quiet and polite girlie. 2. I love to sleep in. Early morning wake up? Never heard of it. I won't be waking you up causing chaos or demanding breakfast. I love to lounge and am happy to follow your routine. 3. Probably my most special feature? I am an absolute professional cuddler. I LOVE chin scratches. No white noise machine to help you sleep required, my purr will be all you need. Your bed is my bed, and I will make myself at home right beside your pillow or tucked into your side. If you're ever looking for me don't search too hard, I am most likely cuddled up in bed for my morning, afternoon or evening nap.The list could really go on forever to tell you how special of a kitty I am!There are a few things I am looking for in you as my new bestie that will make sure we are the perfect match:1. Somebody that is committed to my special prescription weight loss diet plan. I do need to shed a few pounds to make sure I am as healthy as possible for many years to come.2. Encouragement to keep me active and moving is what I need to feel my best. I am great at using my stairs to get up on higher furniture! Someone willing to accommodate my needs around the house in that way would be ideal.3. A home without other animals where I can be the centre of attention would be preferred, as I am not the biggest fan of other furry friends. If I sound like the gal for you, and you are ready to support me on my journey into my next chapter we may be the perfect match!Do you think you could be Nala's person? Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs. Meet Pookie Bear!Pookie Bear is a sweet, gentle boy who is looking for a patient and understanding home. He can be quite shy when meeting new people and in unfamiliar environments, so he'll need an adopter who is willing to give him the time and space he needs to build confidence and come out of his shell.Once he starts to feel comfortable, one of the quickest ways to win him over is with his favourite tube treats! These tasty snacks are a great way to help build trust and create a bond with this lovable cat.Pookie Bear is currently dealing with some dental issues, but these will be addressed before he is ready to go to his forever home. With his dental care taken care of and the support of a caring adopter, he'll be ready to start his next chapter. If you have a calm home, a kind heart, and the patience to let a shy cat blossom at his own pace, Pookie Bear may be the perfect companion for you.Do you think you could be Pookie Bear's person? Story
Do you have a high tolerance for chatty cats? Are you tired of catching your own house flies? Are you willing to share your pillow with a warm, furry purr machine? If so, Dottie might be the cat for you!Dottie is truly one of a kind. She may be tiny (fully grown at just 7 pounds!) but she has a huge personality. This little cat will keep you laughing with her antics, endless curiosity, and sweet, silly charm. She's always ready to supervise your daily activities, carry on a conversation, or help you keep deal with any insects that dare enter the house.Dottie came into our care with some behavioural challenges related to play aggression and defensiveness. Thanks to her dedicated shelter and foster family, she has made remarkable progress and has developed many new skills. We now believe she is ready to find her forever home.Dottie is looking for an experienced cat guardian who is committed to continuing the work that has helped her succeed. She would do best in an adult-only home, or one with older, cat-savvy children. She is not a good fit for homes with other pets unless they are exceptionally tolerant of an energetic and highly playful feline companion. As part of her treatment plan, Dottie has been taking anti-anxiety medication, which has been very beneficial for her. We recommend continuing this medication for at least several months after adoption while she settles into her new environment. For the right person, Dottie will be an endlessly entertaining, affectionate, and rewarding companion.Do you think you could be Dottie's person? Story
To help set Finn up for success, meetings with him will be by appointment only, no walk‑in visits. Meet Finn 🐾Finn is a young brown tabby boy who came to us as a stray, so his past is a bit of a mystery. When he first arrived, he was very shy and tended to freeze during the day, but with time and gentle care he has slowly been learning that he's safe. We're still helping him build confidence, and he's been taking small but meaningful steps forward.Finn has discovered that tube treats are pretty great and will gently enjoy them from a spoon or even from a patient hand. He's a quiet, sensitive soul who would thrive in a calm home with one or two people, ideally without young children. His perfect match will be someone cat‑savvy who understands that trust takes time and is happy to let Finn go at his own pace. With patience, love, and plenty of space to decompress, Finn has the potential to become a very special companion. If you're interested in giving this gentle boy a chance, please submit an online application at adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Thank you! Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 4.92 Age: 1yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
Linus and Lucy came to us from another rescue in BC. They're a sweet bonded pair who love to snuggle together, and have their alone time. They're young and playful. Lucy likes to nap way up high, and Linus prefers a cubby in their cat tree. The two of them can be shy at first, but once comfortable, their personalities shine. Story
Daisy is a nearly 6-year-old sweetheart who’s happiest right by your side. She loves sitting on laps, cuddling up close, and falling asleep in your arms. At night, she needs to sleep in the bedroom with her family, where she feels most safe, secure, and content. This affectionate girl bonds very tightly to her humans and would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day. She gets lonely without her people and truly thrives on companionship. Daisy is also very talkative and friendly, always ready to “chat” and be involved in whatever you’re doing. Daisy is looking to be the only cat in the home, as she doesn’t like sharing her people with other cats. Because of her sensitive nature and strong attachment, she wouldn’t be well suited to a home with small children and would shine in a calm, adult household where she can soak up one-on-one attention. When it’s playtime, Daisy loves wand toys, bringing a lovely balance of playful energy and cozy affection. If you’re looking for a devoted, cuddly companion who wants to be your constant presence, Daisy may be your perfect match.
