***PLEASE NOTE WE ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR WALK-INS. She'll need a patient home that can give her time, calm routines, and space to settle in. She feels most confident with other cats, so she'd do best in a home with a friendly feline companion to help her come out of her shell. With the right match, she'll blossom beautifully. Story
Do you have a high tolerance for chatty cats? Are you tired of catching your own house flies? Are you willing to share your pillow with a warm, furry purr machine? If so, Dottie might be the cat for you!Dottie is truly one of a kind. She may be tiny (fully grown at just 7 pounds!) but she has a huge personality. This little cat will keep you laughing with her antics, endless curiosity, and sweet, silly charm. She's always ready to supervise your daily activities, carry on a conversation, or help you keep deal with any insects that dare enter the house.Dottie came into our care with some behavioural challenges related to play aggression and defensiveness. Thanks to her dedicated shelter and foster family, she has made remarkable progress and has developed many new skills. We now believe she is ready to find her forever home.Dottie is looking for an experienced cat guardian who is committed to continuing the work that has helped her succeed. She would do best in an adult-only home, or one with older, cat-savvy children. She is not a good fit for homes with other pets unless they are exceptionally tolerant of an energetic and highly playful feline companion. As part of her treatment plan, Dottie has been taking anti-anxiety medication, which has been very beneficial for her. We recommend continuing this medication for at least several months after adoption while she settles into her new environment. For the right person, Dottie will be an endlessly entertaining, affectionate, and rewarding companion.Do you think you could be Dottie's person? Here's how to find out:Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 3.16 Age: 1yrs 11mths 1wks

Story
Linus and Lucy came to us from another rescue in BC. They're a sweet bonded pair who love to snuggle together, and have their alone time. They're young and playful. Lucy likes to nap way up high, and Linus prefers a cubby in their cat tree. The two of them can be shy at first, but once comfortable, their personalities shine. Submit an Adoption Application here: https://www.rapsbc.com/cat-adoption/ A meet and greet for approved adopters can be scheduled outside of our regular weekend visiting hours. They are currently settling in at our Adoption Centre: 3380 No. 6 Rd, Richmond Open Saturday & Sunday | 1 – 4 PM

Story
Our warehouse Kittens, Glen - f, Glen Garry - m, Amy - f & Vince - m are waiting to meet you at Bosley's at the Comma in Vancouver at 3425 Fraser Street. These babies are part of a litter of seven and their mama urgently rescued by our team from a warehouse with dangerous living conditions. They are slightly shy but full of love and we expect them to continue blossoming in their forever homes. They are easy to hold and enjoy affection. 10-weeks-old. 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ Our adoption policy is to adopt kittens in pairs whenever possible, as they benefit greatly from having a feline companion. We consider single-kitten adoptions for homes that already have a compatible cat or kitten. 📋 We encourage you to complete an Adoption Application first to get the ball rolling. Our staff reviews adoption applications with reference checks and contacts those who sound like they will be a great fit.

Story
Meet Polar! Polar was a petrified feral when he arrived in the fall of 2024 as one of a trapped group from Boston Bar – in rough shape. He was nursed back to health by our team and has turned into a complete love bug along the way! This boy loves to play and explore, and curl up in the laps of those he trusts the most. Watch out though! Once he loves you, he will become your personal shadow, weaving between your legs and crawling in your lap when you bend down. Polar would benefit from having another young cat in the home, but he can be quite jealous about sharing affection and lap-space, so he will likely need a very slow introduction, he also has a soft spot for another Sanctuary resident, Ophelia, however she is quite a particular lady and likely isn't suitable for the average adopter! Due to Polar's shy nature, we recommend visiting in person multiple times, to give him the best chance to warm up to you and show off his most charming attributes! Submit an Adoption Application here: https://www.rapsbc.com/cat-adoption/ A meet and greet for approved adopters can be scheduled outside of our regular weekend visiting hours. Polar is currently located at the Cat Sanctuary: 3380 No. 6 Rd, Richmond Open Saturday & Sunday | 1 – 4 PM
