Charlie

Truckee, CA

Size

Details

Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,

Story

Meet Charlie! He is a sweet, mellow guy who knows exactly how to enjoy the good life. He absolutely loves affection and will happily soak up all the pets you’re willing to give him. One of his favorite things is getting brushed, and he’ll make sure you know just how much he appreciates the attention! When Charlie hears you nearby, he’ll come right out of his hiding spot to say hello. And if you’re lucky, he may even roll over and show you his belly, a sure sign that he’s ready for some extra love. If you’re looking for a gentle, easygoing companion who enjoys cuddles, pets, and plenty of one-on-one attention, Charlie might be your perfect match! Charlie is FIV+. We believe that cats that are positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) can make excellent companions and deserve the same opportunities for placement as FIV-negative cats. However, there are some things any prospective adopter should know about FIV. Many FIV-positive cats live long, happy lives with proper care. It’s not spread through casual contact like cuddling, sharing food bowls, or living together. It is mainly transmitted through deep bite wounds from fighting cats. FIV+ cats do best as indoor companions, where they stay safe, relaxed, and healthy. With love and routine vet care, they can thrive just like any other cat. Charlie is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is sponsored.

Story

Vivian is def a BOY! He loves being outside hunting, comes inside at night. Purrrrr Viv was part of a feral colony at my mother's house in NC. He was neutered at 5mos as part of Trap Neuter Release program (see clipped ear). Over several months as I finished cleaning out my mom's house, Viv and other feral cats grew accustomed to me and my great dane. ■True story: Viv went missing a few weeks towards end of my stay in NC. On final day clearing out mother's house: As I pull up the driveway, I hear a cat literally screaming. It was Viv chasing my Jeep! When I opened my door, Viv jumped inside and in bk w my Great Dane. ?How to leave behind a cat so excited to see us? The 5 day drive to Calif w Viv, a 2nd cat and Dane = uneventful. Viv travels well in a crate (on frt seat), no trouble in motels & catbox savvy. Why can't i keep him? After 9 months, Viv and our existing cat still hate each other. Having to keep them sep is too stressful for everyone. My heart will break..
