My mom brought me to Safe Place in April because she needed to move into assisted living and couldn't keep me. That made me really sad, so I've been very shy even around the nice people at Safe Place. But, over the past few months with my foster Dad I've really been coming out of my shell and being brave- I love following him around the house! I would love a new home where I can be comfortable, with lots of nice hiding spots when I get overwhelmed. It might take me a long time to overcome my shyness, but we shy kitties need loving homes too! I'm particularly fond of sitting in my foster Dad's lap to wait for ear scratches! Hi there! My name is Pearl, and I'm here to tell you about myself. You can see from my closeup what beautiful, glossy black fur and pretty eyes I have. What you can't see is that I am solid black other than a few white hairs on my chest, nor can you tell how bunny soft my fur is. I'm shy at first but warm up quickly for chin scratches.
