Story
Emmy is a beautiful muted calico. She’s mostly white with grey and orange on her. She is spaded and up-to-date on shots. She is 10 years old. She’s very loving gets over stimulated easy and will nibble loves to play. She eats hard food her favorite is Friskies seafood sensations, but enjoys treats and one can of soft food a day she belongs to my 80-year-old father. The only reason we are getting rid of her is because of my father‘s health, he can no longer take care of her. And he is relocating to Texas with me. I have my own senior cat he’s 14. I also have a large breed dog who she gets along with both. She just doesn’t like pushy dogs who wanna be up in her face. She’s around children. My grandchildren are ages 10, 9, and 8. She’s located in Dewitt Michigan. Her fee is $50 to assure a safe and healthy home. She also loves watching TV.😂

Story
Meet Tiffani! She is a 3-year-old shorthaired buff tabby who came to us from another shelter, so much of her past is unknown. Since arriving, she has been a understandably nervous girl as she adjusts to her new surroundings. Big changes can be overwhelming for Tiffani, and she’s still learning that she’s safe and that people can be trusted. She will do best in a calm, low-stress home with someone who understands that trust takes time and patience. Building a relationship with Tiffani will happen through small, gentle moments—quiet companionship, respecting her space, and letting her set the pace—rather than being picked up or held. For the right person willing to invest the time and consistency she needs, Tiffani has the potential to form a meaningful and rewarding bond. She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.

Since his arrival, he’s been settling in and getting used to life inside, and we’re still learning about his personality as he becomes more comfortable in his new surroundings.Because Fritzy is young and still adjusting, his future adopters should expect some time and patience as he continues to come out of his shell. As we get to know him better, we look forward to seeing his confidence grow and discovering what kind of home will suit him best.He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives. If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.

Story
Meet Whippersnapper! This 4-month-old shorthaired black cat is very fearful in new environments and is still learning how to feel safe in her surroundings. She has not yet shown interest in direct human contact, and new situations can be overwhelming for her. Building trust will take time, and adopters should be prepared to use food as a positive association and commit to gentle, daily interactions while allowing Whippersnapper to move at her own pace. It is currently unknown how social she may become in a home or how long her adjustment period may take.Whippersnapper may be happiest in a barn or working-cat style home where she can have more space and fewer expectations for close interaction, paired with a dedicated caretaker to provide consistent care. A secure outdoor structure and patient approach may help her feel more comfortable over time and allow her confidence to grow naturally. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives. If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.

With kindness, consistency, and space to adjust at her own pace, she has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. For someone willing to let a relationship grow naturally, Beka could be a truly rewarding addition to the family. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives. If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.

Story
Meet Scruffy! He is a 6-year-old longhaired black cat with a gentle soul who was originally found as a stray and later lived with his finder for a period of time. Big changes can be overwhelming for him, and he’s been understandably nervous adjusting to new spaces. To help set him up for success, adopters should plan to start Scruffy in a single, quiet room where he can feel safe as he begins to settle in. He may seek out very good hiding spots at first, sometimes ones that are hard to find, as he takes time to decompress.Scruffy will need a patient, calm household where everyone understands that trust takes time. Spending time with him each day—sitting quietly, offering gentle interaction, and letting him approach on his own terms—will be important for building a strong bond. He may struggle in a busy or noisy home, and it’s currently unknown how he would do with children given his fear levels. With slow, thoughtful introductions, Scruffy may do well with other cats. In the right environment, with patience and consistency, he has the potential to blossom into a devoted companion. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives. If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.
