Story
Ember was found in the winter of 2021 as a kitten near our local high school. She tried climbing into a warm engine of a vehicle and I was able to save her before the car drove away. We later found a boy cat, Arlo, in the same area that we also rescued as a kitten. They are bonded and we are hoping to find a home for them to go to together. They will do best with a home that is able to provide a lot of one-on-one attention to them, though they do well around dogs, and kids after they get to know them. Ember is more outgoing than Arlo, but they both have loads of love to give and are always seeking cuddles and affection. We have two dogs that rule the home. We need to rehome the kitties due to my children’s severe cat allergies. The cats have had to stay in our basement, but really need to find a home where they can get the love that they crave. They are both spayed and neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations!

Story
Meet Min Min! She is a 5-year-old beautiful longhaired torbie who’s ready to find a loving home to call her own. She came to us after her owner was no longer able to care for her, and she’s been patiently waiting since 4/17/2026 for her second chance.Min Min is a sensitive girl who is looking for a calm and understanding environment where she can truly feel at ease. She would do best in a quiet home with a predictable routine and no young children. If there are other cats in the home, Min Min would prefer a slow and thoughtful introduction, along with plenty of resources to help everyone feel comfortable. She may do best in a home without dogs, as they can be stressful for her. She is searching for a true cat person—someone who understands that she may need time, patience, and respect for her boundaries. In the right home, she has the potential to form a deep bond and become an incredibly rewarding and loving companion.Min Min is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you’re interested in meeting Min Min or learning more, please reach out to an adoption counselor by phone at (517) 626-6060 or email at adoptions@adoptlansing.org.

Story
Meet Shane! He is an 8-month-old handsome shorthaired brown tabby who’s ready to find a loving home to call his own. He came to us after his previous owners had too many animals to care for, and he’s been patiently waiting since 4/21/2026 for his second chance.Shane is a friendly young cat who has previously lived with other cats and may enjoy having a feline companion in his new home. He’s still full of energy and curiosity, so he would do well in a variety of homes as long as everyone is prepared for the fun (and occasional mischief!) that comes with raising a young cat. With proper playtime, enrichment, and guidance, Shane is sure to grow into a wonderful and loving companion.Shane is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.
