This kitty Birdie was born in our house and has been a lovely pet. She has no health problems and is very loving. She loves to climb up on your shoulders when you walk around and loves to sit on your lap while you're watching TV. She is a sweetheart. She also gets along famous with her sister squirt who is 10 years younger and is also up for adoption. Birdie would make a terrific pet for an older couple who like a quiet and cuddly cat. We're only putting them up for adoption because my wife passed away and my new home doesn't have room for a cat. I will miss her terribly.

Story

Marble is two years old and adopted us. As a very small kitten, she showed up on our deck late in the winter and just started hanging out there and eventually just moved in. She's very sweet cat and enjoys hanging around on the kitchen table and nuzzling us as we try and read the paper or whatever. We have to adopt her out because my wife died and my new home doesn't allow any new cats. But she's a lovely cat to be around and loves her friend Birdie who is also available for adoption. I will miss them both terribly.

Meet Scruffy! He is a 6-year-old longhaired black cat with a gentle soul who was originally found as a stray and later lived with his finder for a period of time. Big changes can be overwhelming for him, and he’s been understandably nervous adjusting to new spaces. To help set him up for success, adopters should plan to start Scruffy in a single, quiet room where he can feel safe as he begins to settle in. He may seek out very good hiding spots at first, sometimes ones that are hard to find, as he takes time to decompress.Scruffy will need a patient, calm household where everyone understands that trust takes time. Spending time with him each day—sitting quietly, offering gentle interaction, and letting him approach on his own terms—will be important for building a strong bond. He may struggle in a busy or noisy home, and it’s currently unknown how he would do with children given his fear levels. With slow, thoughtful introductions, Scruffy may do well with other cats.
