Story
Meet Kat! This sweet male cat loves people. He loves affection and sleeping near people, but at times he is also independent. He is very smart, friendly and sensitive. He would do best as an only cat, but with time could do ok with another cat who wants to play and chase. He could do well with a dog if the dog is friendly and playful.

Story
Maggie was living in a wood pile, but was taken in when she had 4 adorable kittens. She is now looking for an inside home as she is not feral and is very well behaved. She is sweet and beautiful! She is currently recovering from taking care of her babies, having ear mites and being generally underweight and stressed living outside. She's ready for the good life. Are you the person she's been waiting for? She is a tabby with just a touch of torbie - orange patches on her back and paw mixed with gorgeous tiger stripes. Her son is Magnolia and she has 3 daughters - they are not fixed yet - one tiger with orange on her paw like her Mom. One tabico (tabby + calico) and one black kitten. Maggie tested positive for FIV. She is our first cat to test positive. Even with FIV, she can still live a long and healthy life. She will need to be an indoor cat and fed a healthy diet to keep her immune system strong. Caring for an FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive cat primarily requires strict indoor living to prevent the spread of the virus and shield their compromised immune system from outside pathogens. How to care for an FIV cat: - Regular vet check-ups - Provide a safe, stable indoor environment - Minimize environmental stress, which can suppress the immune system. - Provide a stable routine, comfortable resting areas, and regular playtime. - Feed a nutritionally complete and well-balanced diet to maintain optimal health and weight. - No Raw Diets because FIV+ cats have a weakened immune system, they are highly susceptible to severe food-borne bacteria and parasites. Can an FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) Cat Safely Live with Other Cats? Yes. Because the virus is primarily transmitted through deep, penetrating bite wounds, it rarely spreads during peaceful cohabitation or casual grooming. Follow these key steps to ensure a safe, multi-cat household: - Ensure all cats are spayed/neutered. - Perform slow introductions: Do not rush. Use scent-swapping and gradual visual contact before allowing your new cat to roam the house freely. - Maintain a stable environment: Keep your cats indoors to prevent them from engaging in territorial fights with neighborhood animals. Ensure there are plenty of resources (food bowls, litter boxes, and vertical perches) so the cats never feel the need to compete. - Monitor personalities: The biggest risk is a serious, blood-drawing fight. If your existing cats are known to be aggressive or highly reactive, introducing a new cat may not be the best fit.

Story
Orange Crush was living outside with his Mom is an area that was not safe for him. But now he is safe, fixed and looking for a home. He would like to be adopted with his brother, Creamsicle. Orange Crush is the orange tabby and creamsicle is the one with white. Their Mom - Tomette- is also looking for a home. She is still a little scared being inside after a life on the streets so she will need someone who is patient with her and gives her time to settle in. She could also be an inside/outside cat for someone who has a barn or outdoor shelter as she is used to being outside.

Story
This kitty was found during Trap Neuter Return (TNR) and was too friendly, cute and sweet to be ear-tipped and put back outside! We took her in and are looking for her furrever home. Amelia is a bit shy, vocal and cuddly. Uses her litter box well. No scratching - a well behaved kitty. She would love to be adopted with her sister Matilda if possible.
