Good with dog: Yes, they should do fine with well mannered dogs, but will take time to adjust. Good with cats: Yes, as always, a proper slow introduction will be required as with any other kitties being introduced to a home. Please refer to https://www.jacksongalaxy.com/blog/the-dos-and-donts- of-introducing-cats/ Good with kids: Yes, they will just need a little space to open up and adjust to young kiddos as they are not used to them! Litter box trained: Yes! House trained: Yes! Meet Lala & Dipsy! Lala and Dipsy are a loving, playful, and curious sibling-like duo who adore being around people and bring so much joy wherever they go. They’re social kittens who want to be part of the action and thrive on companionship, both with each other and with their humans. Lala’s story began in Tennessee, where she bravely followed a group of kids home from the park after being abandoned. Her sweet, trusting nature shines through in everything she does. Just a few weeks older than Dipsy, Lala naturally took on the role of big sister. She’s affectionate, confident, and does a wonderful job keeping her mischievous little brother in line—all while snuggling up with him when playtime winds down. Dipsy came to us with his siblings, Tinky and Po, and quickly made friends with Lala. He’s playful, curious, and always up to something fun. Dipsy loves to explore, climb, and investigate anything new, often looking to Lala for guidance—or gentle correction—when his antics get a little too bold. Together, Lala and Dipsy love climbing, chasing toys, playing with each other, and curling up for cozy naps. Their bond is strong, their personalities are full of charm, and they truly enjoy being around people. This sweet pair would thrive in a home that can offer plenty of attention, enrichment, and vertical space to climb. Lala & Dipsy are ready to bring laughter, love, and endless snuggles to their forever family. If you think you are the right match for Lala & Dipsy, please apply to adopt here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1doqwbKyo7ZFi9Wq2ss-et4DLqM7esQfvEUdXVZBnA98/viewform?edit_requested=true&pli=1 Our adoption fee is $600 for the pair, this includes vetting, transport (we typically can get within 1-2 hours of most places) and our animals all go home with an adoption bag to help them transition to their new home! Currently located in: Kittery, ME Adoptable in: All continental 48 United States (transport is available anywhere!) Good with dogs: Yes, they should do fine well mannered dogs, but will take time to adjust. Good with cats: Yes, as always, a proper slow introduction will be required as with any other kitties being introduced to a home. Please refer to https://www.jacksongalaxy.com/blog/the-dos-and-donts-of-introducing-cats/ Good with kids: Yes, older kids would be best for this duo! Litter box trained: Yes! House trained: Yes! Meet Vienna & Prague — a Beautifully Bonded Mother–Son Duo Vienna is a stunning tabico mama with soulful green eyes and a heart full of devotion. By her side is her precious son, Prague — an irresistibly adorable orange boy with striking blue eyes and a story of incredible resilience. These two share a bond that is truly something special and must be adopted together. Several months ago, we received a call from a Good Samaritan who had noticed a friendly mama cat bringing her kittens to them for help. That brave mama was Vienna. She trusted humans enough to ask for help — especially for her little orange boy, Prague, whose chin had been severely degloved due to injury. After months of dedicated care, patience, and healing, Prague was finally strong enough to undergo surgery. His amazing veterinary team carefully repaired his chin, removed a damaged tooth, and lovingly sutured everything back into place. Thanks to this lifesaving care — and his mama never leaving his side — Prague has healed beautifully and is thriving. Both Vienna and Prague are understandably shy at first and will need some time to warm up and learn to trust in a new environment. They do best with gentle voices, slow movements, and patient adopters who will allow them to blossom at their own pace. Once they feel safe, their sweet personalities shine — they are loving, gentle, and incredibly affectionate in their own quiet way. Vienna is a calm, nurturing presence, while Prague takes great comfort in his mom and follows her lead. You’ll often find them curled up together, grooming one another, or quietly watching the world side by side. This bonded pair is looking for a calm, loving home where they can stay together forever. Their journey hasn’t been easy, but it has made them truly special. Adopting Vienna and Prague means welcoming not just two cats — but a beautiful story of trust, healing, and unconditional love. If you think you are the right match for Vienna & Prague, please apply to adopt here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1doqwbKyo7ZFi9Wq2ss-et4DLqM7esQfvEUdXVZBnA98/viewform?edit_requested=true&pli=1 Our adoption fee is $600 for the pair, this includes vetting, transport (we typically can get within 1-2 hours of most places) and our animals all go home with an adoption bag to help them transition to their new home! Currently located in: Standish, ME! Adoptable in: ANYWHERE! (Transport available to most places!) Good with dogs: Yes, but will need space to open up and adjust to cat friendly dogs as they are not used to them! Good with cats: Yes, as always a proper slow introduction will be required as with any other kitties being introduced to a home. Litter box trained: Yes! House trained: Yes! Meet Spot! Spot is a shy and sensitive tortie who believes that trust is something you earn — not rush. At first, she’ll keep her distance, often tucked away in her favorite hiding spot (especially a good box!). But once she decides you’re safe, she’ll lean in for soft, gentle pets, and eventually she’ll climb into your arms for snuggles. Spot loves to quietly observe the world around her, taking in every sound and movement with calm curiosity. She’s the kind of cat who finds beauty in stillness and peace in quiet moments. She’s looking for a patient, understanding home — one with a calm environment and people who respect her pace. With time, kindness, and love, Spot will open her heart and reward you with her quiet companionship and sweet trust. Meet Lola & Lizzy! These two are magical together. This pair is for people who want to snuggle! Lola (tuxedo) loves to roll around while getting pets, she will sit on your lap, and she will jump onto your chair as soon as you get up so that you have to pet her before you can sit back down. She loves to be held and will try to nestle inside your chest. Lola’s meow is high pitched whisper cute. She sticks her little pink tongue out and looks so silly! Lizzy (all black) was very shy when she first got to us, and it took a couple months before she felt comfortable, but now she is so happy and free! She feels comfortable around household activities, but will likely be a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes time to go to the vet. She comes and asks for cuddles with wide eyes and a whispered HONK sound and absolutely loves pets and scratches but will likely need a bit more time to be scoopable. These two get along so well. They are used to dogs and other cats. They will bring an unreasonable amount of joy into your life! If you think you are the right match for Lola & Lizzy, please apply to adopt here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1doqwbKyo7ZFi9Wq2ss-et4DLqM7esQfvEUdXVZBnA98/viewform?edit_requested=true&pli=1 Our adoption fee is $600 for the pair, this includes vetting, transport (we typically can get within 1-2 hours of most places) and our animals all go home with an adoption bag to help them transition to their new home! As part of the approval process, we require 2 non-family personal references. Our volunteers contact both references and have conversations regarding the potential adopter. If we are unable to reach the references provided, additional references may be requested. We also require a vet check. We will call the vet to conduct a short reference check. A video walk-through of the adopter's home (and yard, if adopting a dog) is also required. The safety of our animals is one of our top priorities. They deserve to have a safe and secure place to live. The video can be sent to the Whiskers Fund email address or Facebook messenger upon submitting your application. When submitting the video, please reference which animal(s) you are applying to adopt. Once the adopter is approved and matched with an animal, we will make arrangements for the animal to go to their new home. We hope to have each animal in their new home within a week.
