Story
Meet our sweet, beautiful girl who is looking for a loving forever home. She is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and loves being around her people. Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys playing, cuddling, relaxing next to you, and even watching TV together. She previously lived peacefully with another cat, so she may do well in a home with a friendly feline companion. Unfortunately, our busy home with two young boys has become very stressful for her. She is frightened by the constant activity and spends most of the day hiding. Once the kids are asleep, she comes out and becomes her true, loving self—following us around, asking for attention, and soaking up every moment together. She would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe and confident. We truly believe that in the right environment she will blossom into an amazing companion. This decision has not been easy, and our only goal is to find the home where she can be happiest.

Story
Say hello to Iceman. Iceman is a sweet quiet young man who is looking for a patient home. He actually loves being in your lap but needs a home willing to give him time to settle in and who understands he wants to ask for attention vs receive it randomly. He absolutely loves other cats, particularly other friendly playful cats, and would make a great companion for another young cat or kitten. Iceman is a quiet shy cat who's had a rough life in his 1.3 years. Iceman was originally with FOR as a kitten, was adopted and when he was about 8 months, he was diagnosed with FIP. FIP is considered fatal, however there is an experimental treatment that shows a lot of promise and his adopters decided to get him started with it. Part way through the 3 month treatment, they decided to release him back to FOR, and he's been in a foster home since then. He completed his initial 3 months of treatment and completed a 3 month monitor period and he is as healthy as they come. Once the three month period is over with no relapse, he is considered cured from FIP, making him an #FIPWarrior and #FIPSurvivor. He is listed as special needs because of the FIP in his past, although it is not expected to influence him again. The initial stages of FIP treatment are very painful, so he has anxiety about being approached and being grabbed. He is very happy to approach you and sit on your lap and be petted, but he wants it to be on his terms. Do you have a special place for Iceman? He's alive thanks to his treatment, he's healthy as can be and he just needs a kind and patient home who understands his quirks. He's fully vetted, neutered and ready to move on (preferably to home with a cat buddy too).

Meet Moxie! Moxie is a stunning black kitten with a playful spirit and a heart full of curiosity. She may be a bit shy with people, but don’t let that fool you—this special girl loves to play! Whether it’s chasing a wand toy or batting at a jingly ball, Moxie will happily interact with humans through playtime. She’s also a big fan of treats! While she’s still learning to trust human hands, she will reluctantly—but adorably—enjoy lickable treats from her favorite people. Moxie LOVES other cats and would thrive in a home with feline friends—especially if she can bring her best friend, Pippa, along! She’s also great with dogs and would do well in a patient, cat-savvy home that understands her need for time and space to adjust. Because of Moxie’s fear and need for a calm environment, she requires a home with no children. She will need an adopter who is willing to be patient as she continues to build trust at her own pace. While Moxie may never be a lap cat, she will reward the right adopter with playful antics, quiet companionship, and the joy of watching her grow in confidence. Moxie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FeLV/FIV negative. She is currently in Huntsville, AL, and is ready to find a quiet, loving home that will give her the patience and understanding she needs to truly shine. If you’re ready to open your heart to a unique and playful girl like Moxie, fill out an application today! 📧 Questions? Email us at info@forrescue.net

✨ Meet Vega! ✨ Vega is a tiny girl with a HUGE personality! This playful, energetic kitten is always on the move — chasing toys, exploring every corner, and chatting with you along the way. She’s incredibly social and absolutely loves people, kids, other cats, and even dogs. When she’s not zooming around the house, she’s soaking up attention and showing off her sweet, affectionate side. Vega is vocal, curious, confident, and guaranteed to keep you laughing with her adorable little opinions and endless kitten antics. She’s also litter box trained and adjusting wonderfully to indoor life. Vega could happily adjust as a solo kitten in the right home with plenty of attention and enrichment, but she would do best in a home with another playful kitty companion. Together, they can keep each other entertained, burn off kitten energy, and grow up with a built-in best friend. If you’re looking for a fun, outgoing kitten with endless love, entertainment, and personality to offer, Vega is your girl! 💫

🐈‍⬛ Meet Starling – Your Little Shadow is Waiting! 🖤 Born around the first week of April 2026, Starling has already overcome so much in his short life. He was found wandering all alone at just 5–6 weeks old, but thankfully he found safety with his foster family—and an unexpected mom. Dove (who is also available for adoption!) immediately adopted him as her own, and Starling has been her devoted little "son" ever since. In fact, he's still sneaking in nursing sessions every chance he gets, despite having unlimited kitten kibble! 💕 When Starling first arrived, it's impossible to know what he'd been through. Every time I reached to pet or pick him up, he'd hiss...but the moment my hand touched him, he'd completely melt into the loudest purrs and soak up every bit of affection. This funny little routine lasted for weeks. Today? He runs the house like he owns it! Starling has blossomed into the sweetest little cuddle bug. He's a total lap cat who wants to be wherever you are—curled up beside you in bed, snoozing in your lap, or simply following you around the house. He's definitely a bit of a "clinger cat," and honestly, it's one of his most lovable qualities. ❤️ Of course, he's still a kitten, so he has plenty of playful energy too! Wand toys are his absolute favorite, and he loves romping around with other animals. He's wonderful with other cats and dogs and would thrive in a home with furry friends to keep him company. This sleek little black mini panther has the most striking greenish-gold eyes and a personality that's every bit as beautiful as his looks. Starling's perfect home: 🐾 Other cats or friendly pets to play and cuddle with 👧 Children ages 10 and up 🖤 A family looking for an affectionate, loyal companion Before adoption, Starling will be: ✔️ Neutered ✔️ Vaccinated ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Litter box trained Starling is being fostered through Friend of Rescue in Huntsville, Alabama, and he's ready to find the forever family he's been waiting for. If you're looking for a loving little sidekick who will fill your home with purrs, cuddles, and endless affection, Starling is your guy. Come meet this precious mini panth1er—you just might fall in love. 🖤
