Story
Tanghulu is a 4 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative! Meet Tanghulu! Tanghulu came into the shelter as a very shy guy but he showed us right from the start that he has a gentle and sweet soul. While he may need some time adjusting in a new home, he enjoys slow and gentle pets from his favorite people—especially head and chin scratches! He is also a food motivated kitty and using yummy treats is a great way to earn this man’s trust. He is otherwise a very mellow and low-key guy who doesn’t ask for more than a soft bed to cat nap in and a relaxing spot next to a window to lounge in. Although Tanghulu is starting to show us more of his sweet personality every day, he is still a shy guy who startles easily. So, he is looking for a calmer and quieter home where he can continue to blossom. He would do best in a home with children at least 12 years of age or older who won’t chase or scare him and understand he may prefer his space at times. He is currently living in a communal living area with other cats with whom he seems to appreciate so he wouldn’t mind having another feline friend in the house. Story
Meet Winnie!! Winnie is a 1-year old spayed female. She is microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations and FIV/FeLV negative! Winnie is a lively, affectionate kitty who loves to play like a kitten and rule her kingdom with charm and sass. She’s endlessly curious and always up for a good game of chase — especially if her favorite shoestring toy is involved! (With her adorable extra toes, she’s got quite the grip!) Winnie is also a cuddle bug… but on her terms, of course — she’s a queen, after all. When she’s ready to snuggle, she’ll melt right into your arms and purr her heart out. This special girl has limited vision, likely from a past trauma, but you’d never guess it from how well she gets around. Her only little quirk is that she startles a bit easily, so she’d do best in a home with respectful children 10+ who can give her gentle approaches and plenty of love. With slow and proper introductions, Winnie should do well with other cats and even cat-savvy dogs — she just needs a little time to feel safe and confident in her space. If you’re looking for a playful, sweet, and resilient companion who will fill your home with joy (and a few royal demands), Winnie might just be your perfect match! If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application

Story
Meet Henley! Henley is a 4-month old spayed female. She is microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Henley is a sweet youngster with a gentle, slightly shy personality — but she’s still at that wonderful, moldable age where patience, love, and routine can help her blossom. She feels most comfortable with feline friends, and you’ll often find her hanging out or playing with her foster siblings, chasing toys, and enjoying quiet fun. Henley would do best in a home with older, respectful kids (5+) who understand that she needs calm approaches and a little time to build confidence. When it comes to dogs, hyper or overly playful pups can be a bit much for her — but a calm, mellow, cat-savvy dog may be just fine with slow, thoughtful introductions. If you’re looking for a sweet kitten who will thrive with patience, companionship, and a gentle environment, ask CRHS for more information about Henley! Story
Meet Candyman. Candyman is a 2-year old neutered male. He is microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. Candyman is also FIV/FeLV negative! Candyman is a gentle, shy sweetheart who just needs a little patience to show you his softer side. If you approach too quickly, he’ll scamper off—but give him a moment (and maybe a treat or two), and he’ll come right back, rolling over and leaning into pets like he’s known you forever. He has a playful streak, especially when it comes to anything fuzzy—feather toys, fuzzy mice, soft kickers, you name it. When he’s not playing, you can usually find him perched in a windowsill, watching the world go by. Candyman is currently in a foster home with other cats and truly thrives in their company, so he will need to go to a home with another friendly feline. He also lives with dogs and is often caught rubbing against them, so a calm, cat-savvy dog companion should be just fine. Candyman would do best in a quieter home with older, respectful kids (6+) who can give him space when he needs it and love when he asks for it. With the right family, this sweet boy will blossom into the affectionate, loyal companion he’s meant to be. If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application

Story
Meet Stargazer! Stargazer is a 7-month old spayed female. She is microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Stargazer is a shy little star who’s still learning that people can be pretty great — and she’s making slow, steady progress every day. She’s working on her socialization and feels safest when things stay calm and predictable. Treats are definitely the way to her heart! She’ll come right up when snacks are involved and is especially interested in tube treats. Stargazer is still figuring out all the great things humans have to offer, like pets, cuddles and playtime- she’s just a cautious little stinker who needs more time to feel brave. Stargazer would do best with older, respectful kids (6+) who understand that shy cats need space and patience. Hyper or overly playful dogs aren’t a good fit for her, but a calm, cat-savvy pup could possibly be okay with slow introductions. She absolutely loves other cats and truly relies on feline friends to help her feel safe and confident so she is required to go home with another cat, or be adopted with another feline friend. (Her sister Malt is available too!) If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application

Meet Caroline! Caroline is a 4-month old female.
