Story
Posie is a 6-month-old spayed female who is microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Posie came to CRHS as a scared, semi-feral kitten who was terrified of everything. After several weeks in a loving foster home, she is ready to find her forever home! While Posie would LOVE to go home with her brother Peter, it is not required that they go together but she is required to have another cat in her home. She’s a sweet, gentle, and slightly reserved girl who just needs a little time to feel comfortable in new surroundings. Once she settles in, her curious and affectionate personality really starts to shine. Posie does best with other cats and is required to go home with a friendly feline buddy who can help boost her confidence. Posie isn’t a full-on lap cat, but she does enjoy quiet cuddle time with her foster mom—she’ll relax in your arms for a bit, then hop down when she’s ready for her own space. A calm, low-key home with a cat-savvy adopter would be the perfect fit for her. Children should be 8+. Story
Willie is a 6 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative! ***Willie is bonded with his housemate Whalen who is also available for adoption! So, this pair of handsome men are required to go home together - for ONE combined adoption fee! Meet Willie! Willie can be a shy and more reserved guy at times but he is absolutely one of the sweetest guys around! He adores slow, gentle pets from his favorite people and is happiest when he can just simply relax right by your side. When you aren’t around though he also does just fine with his independence—especially since his pal Whalan is always close by! He is a very mellow and low-key kitty who otherwise enjoys relaxing his days away whether he’s lounging next to a sunny window, catnapping in a cozy bed, or hanging out with Whalan. While Willie is the sweetest guy around, he does still startle on occasion and get stressed when there is a lot going on around him. So, he would do best in a bit of a calmer and quieter home with kids at least 5 years of age or older. He should do ok with other types of calmer and respectful pets in the home too given slow and proper introductions to one another. If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application

Story
Bob Brenard is a 2 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative! Meet Bob Brenard! Bob Brenard is a handsome and active guy who can be very outgoing and confident at times. He enjoys meeting new people and getting lots of attention when the mood strikes him. He does at times however prefer his space and does just fine with his independence when you must be away. He is otherwise quite the active and curious kitty who likes to go exploring—especially when something new and exciting catches his eye. As the day is coming to an end though, he enjoys settling down for a much earned cat nap and just simply hanging out. While Bob Brenard is a friendly guy, he does have a tendency to get overstimulated very easily at times, and isn’t afraid to let you know when he wants his space. So, he would do best in a cat savvy home where his family is able to understand his cues. Any children in the home should be at least 12 years of age or older and understand that he may get easily overwhelmed. He should do ok with other respectful pets given slow and proper introductions to one another. If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application

Story
***In hopes of helping Socks find her forever home sooner, her adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor!*** Socks is a 5 year old spayed female. She is current on her vaccinations and microchipped! Meet Socks! Socks is a sweet and calm lady who is described by her previous family as a friendly lap cat. She may be a bit more reserved at first, but after just a few pets her truly sweet and gentle personality will start to show. She is a very low key kitty who does on occasion let her curiosity lead her way as she does like to explore her surroundings. Most days though, you will find this laid back lady taking long cat naps in a cozy bed, lounging next to a sunny window, or relaxing up high in her cat tree. In her last home, Socks lived with several other kitties whom she got along with great; so, she would love to have another kitty companion in her new home too! She was also able to easily co-exist with the larger breed dogs in the home. So, she should do great with other furry friends in her new home given slow and proper introductions to one another. Since she may be shy at times she would do best in a home with kids at least 5 years of age or older. If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application

Story
***Thanks to a generous donation from the Andy and Connie Ziemelis Charitable Fund, select cats are having their adoption fees sponsored by the Home Sweet Home Program – including Winnie's! Meet Winnie!! Winnie is a 1-year old spayed female. She is microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations and FIV/FeLV negative! Winnie is a lively, affectionate kitty who loves to play like a kitten and rule her kingdom with charm and sass. She’s endlessly curious and always up for a good game of chase — especially if her favorite shoestring toy is involved! (With her adorable extra toes, she’s got quite the grip!) Winnie is also a cuddle bug… but on her terms, of course — she’s a queen, after all. When she’s ready to snuggle, she’ll melt right into your arms and purr her heart out. This special girl has limited vision, likely from a past trauma, but you’d never guess it from how well she gets around. Her only little quirk is that she startles a bit easily, so she’d do best in a home with respectful children 10+ who can give her gentle approaches and plenty of love. With slow and proper introductions, Winnie should do well with other cats and even cat-savvy dogs — she just needs a little time to feel safe and confident in her space. If you’re looking for a playful, sweet, and resilient companion who will fill your home with joy (and a few royal demands), Winnie might just be your perfect match! ***Thanks to a generous donation from the Andy and Connie Ziemelis Charitable Fund, select cats are having their adoption fees sponsored by the Home Sweet Home Program – including Nae Nae's! Nae Nae is a 1 year old spayed female. She is microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Meet Nae Nae!!! Nae Nae is a sweet older kitten with a shy heart and a soft spot for her feline friends. She feels most comfortable around other cats and will need to begin her new adventure in a small, quiet space where she can be gently worked with and learn to trust her humans at her own pace. This girl may be timid, but she has a few big loves — soft treats, wet food, and interactive toys like wand teasers and laser pointers. (Treats might not be the healthiest way to win her over, but they definitely help!) With a routine, time and patience Nae Nae has become a "lap cat" in her foster home. Her foster mom says she is a "velcro cat". Nae Nae will need to go home with another confident cat to help her feel secure. She would do best with kids 8+ who can move calmly around her, and she has previously interacted with a dog—she did well, so a respectful, cat-savvy dog could be a good match.
