Story
MEET RUGER Ruger is a 3-ish year old mixed breed maybe Catahoula, Cattle Dog, Hound… honestly, whatever the mix is, it worked because this boy is perfectly made. He’s a big, handsome guy who will likely be around 80 lbs once he gains his weight. Despite his size, Ruger is not high energy, is dog friendly, and carries himself with a calm, steady presence. Ruger is: • Very loving & loyal • A true Velcro dog who wants to be close to his people • Dog friendly • Low to moderate energy He’s currently sitting in animal control, and this big heart does not belong behind kennel walls. Ruger is seeking a foster or adopter who can show him what stability and love feel like. Please share to help us get Ruger seen and out of animal control where he can finally rest, bond, and belong. Ruger's adoption fee is $50 To foster: www.jaspercohumanesociety.org/foster To adopt: www.jaspercohumanesociety.org/adopt

Story
&#226&#128&#139 Affectionate. Snuggly. Loyal. Friendly. Handsome. The list of Hudson’s amazing qualities could go on forever — but lately, one trait has really stood out: this boy is exceptionally intelligent. Hudson isn’t just a pretty face — he’s what we like to call doggie Ivy League material. At just 3 years old and 62 pounds, he’s a quick learner who thrives on mental stimulation and truly loves training. New tricks and agility games? Bring it on. Hudson lights up when his brain is engaged, and he’s happiest when he has a purpose. We believe there’s some working breed in his genes, and it shows in his focus, drive, and desire to bond deeply with his people. He’s eager to please and would thrive in a home that understands the needs of smart, active dogs and can keep him challenged with ongoing learning and enrichment. Hudson’s dream home? A family who values his intelligence as much as his cuddles. Someone who’s excited to teach him new tricks and skills. A best friend who appreciates both his active side and his heart of gold. Check out his reel: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1017875406805291     Age: 3 years    Weight: 62 lbs    Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative and on prevention    Temperament: Good with other dogs, and older, respectful kids.      Training, House trained, crate trained, knows several commands    Email for questions: sonali@doggieharmony.org    To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. June 25, 2025, 9:04 am

Story
OpossumCatahoula Leopard Dog MixMaleDOB: 2/09/25Adoption Fee: $200Opossum in the house!!! This handsome boy is looking for a home to call his own. He was rescued with a bunch of other dogs who haven't had much interaction with people. Opossum is a very shy boy, and we're currently working on walking on leash. He got his name because when he gets very nervous, he likes to play dead in the hope that he can make the scary thing disappear. He wasn't sure how he felt about being outside, but that first time he got to walk around out there, he didn't want to come back in. He's quick to let you know when he wants some attention, so be prepared to make him the center of your day. We know that with some patience, love, and a bit of training, he will blossom into an outgoing, confident companion. He does seem to really like other dogs- they give him a confidence boost- so he would do well in a home with another dog who is friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for a dog that you can give all your love to and who will put a smile on your face no matter what, he could be the one for you! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Story
Meet Lovely Maggie – The Stunning Blue Leopard Catahoula Mix! Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear fur and chase squirrels. Maggie is a sweetheart couch potato, bed hopper, breathtaking 4-year-old blue leopard Catahoula mix with one solid blue eye and a striking blue chip in the other. This smart, affectionate, and loyal girl is the perfect companion for someone who loves the unique personality of the Catahoula breed.  Maggie’s Journey Maggie’s history is mostly unknown. She was rescued from animal control in North Georgia and given a second chance at life. Why You’ll Love Maggie Loyal & Affectionate: Maggie thrives on being close to her human. She loves snuggling, lounging on the couch, or napping nearby, making her the perfect cuddle buddy. Low-Key Couch Potato with a Fun Side: While Maggie is mostly laid-back, she also enjoys walks, hikes, and car rides—anything that allows her to spend quality time with her person. Meal Time Enthusiast: Maggie’s favorite part of the day is mealtime! Her excitement is unmatched, and she’ll eagerly await her food with adorable enthusiasm. Crate-Trained & Well-Behaved: Maggie is perfectly crate-trained and will happily run into her crate for a treat. Maggie’s Ideal Home Dog Dynamics: Maggie gets along wonderfully with male dogs but has had conflicts with dominant females. She might do well with a submissive female, but she would thrive as the only dog in the household, where she can soak up all the love and attention. No Cats: Due to her high prey drive, a cat-free home is essential. A Loving Human: Maggie craves attention and affection, making her ideal for someone who enjoys having a constant, loving companion. Health & Quick Facts Age: 4 years old Weight: 55 pounds (a perfect medium size) Health: Spayed Microchipped Heartworm-negative Up-to-date on all vaccinations Temperament: Sweet, affectionate, and eager to please How to Adopt Maggie If you’re looking for a smart, loyal, and loving companion, Maggie is the dog for you! Story
We are not 100% sure on the exact age. We got the dog from a friend when it was maybe 1 to 2 old, and we have now had the dog for 5 years, so we estimate the age to be around 6 to 7 years old. My wife and I both work full-time now and unfortunately do not have the time the dog deserves for attention, exercise, and care. This has been a very difficult decision for us, but we want to find a loving home where the dog can receive the time and companionship it needs. Millie is mostly an outdoor dog, great with kids, and has a very playful personality. Very smart and high energy, loves to run and needs space to do so. She does well with some dogs but not all, so a proper introduction would be important. We are looking for a responsible family or individual who can provide a stable, caring environment and give him/her the time and activity he/she thrives on. Please reach out if you are interested or would like more details. We want to make sure this is the right fit.
