Mandatory in person transfer date: April 26th at the Petsmart in Tysons Corner between 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. All adopters must attend in order to finalize the adoption. Lemongrass is a sweet and smart puppy. She loves to go on walks/hikes and explore the terrain. She would be a great running partner. She is exceptionally good with other dogs and loves to greet people. Her intercation with cats is still to be explored. She is a natural at playing catch and loves it. Given her breed natural tendencies, we play "detective" where I make her seek and find a Lemon that I hide for her. She would be great at playing hide-and-seek! A few other commands she has mastered during her training sessions are: sit, paw, place, drop, stay, leave, and come. She is potty trained and is working on learning how to ring a bell to let you know she needs to go. She is a calm companion during car rides and would be great if you want to take her with you to run errands or go on adventures! She will be sure to give you some love, cuddles, and will make a great addition to her forever home. ##2284181##

Story
Hi, my name is Charlotte & I'm lucky to be here. My momma was found as a stray & the lady who found her was trying to be responsible, so contacted a rescue for help in getting her spayed. But then asked if they would spay her if she was already pregnant. Long story short, the lady at the rescue said she didn't want anyone to abort the babies since my momma was close to delivering, so said she would take my momma & let her have her babies first. I was born a week later & have had a wonderful, loving home & been very happy with comfy beds, fun toys, delicious treats, lots of food & fun playmates. But now, the nice lady says it's time for each of us to get our own furever homes where we will contine to be loved & cherished. Charlotte has not been around many children but she gets along well with everyone and loves cats. She was raised in a stress free home where everyone around her is happy! Charlotte has been exposed to peepee pads. But as a puppy she will not understand the change. Puppies only know where to go because that is what they are taught. In a new environment you will have to define the acceptable spots for potty times. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England/ Virginia area and delivered in Pennsylvania, Virginia and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. Story
Meet Lou Lou – A Beautiful Soul Ready for Love!  Lou Lou is a stunning 50-pound, 1-2 year old Catahoula mix with a beautiful smile and dancing eyes that invites you to make friends with her.  She was originally an abandoned girl who was found alone in the middle of a storm, searching for safety. Now, she’s looking for something even more precious—a forever home where she will be loved and cherished. With her blue merle  coat that is stunning and her soulful eyes, Lou Lou is as gorgeous on the outside as she is on the inside. She has a sweet and affectionate personality, melting into belly rubs and eagerly snuggling into your lap. Once she knows you’re her friend, she’ll stick by your side like a loyal shadow, offering endless love and devotion. At about 18 months to 2 years old, Lou Lou has plenty of energy and a playful spirit. She would thrive in an active home where she can run, explore, and learn about all the joys life has to offer. While she can be a little shy at first, she just needs some patience and encouragement to build her confidence. With love and gentle guidance, she will blossom into the amazing companion she is meant to be. Lou Lou is still learning about things like walking on a leash and being an indoor pet, but she is eager to please and will flourish in a home that continues to show her kindness and guidance. In many ways, she is like a puppy—a clean slate ready for training, adventures, and a lifetime of love. Lou Lou has been spayed and is up to date on all vaccinations. She is ready to find her forever family—a patient, loving home where she can continue to grow, trust, and be the incredible dog she was always meant to be. If you’re looking for a beautiful, affectionate, and loyal companion, Lou Lou might just be the perfect match!  Contact us today to learn more about adopting this special girl!  Please get in touch with us at Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in possibly adopting this special girl. Story
Sawyer was saved from a high kill rescue only shelter in GA last year, this shelter is not open to the public so these dogs don't have much chance of getting out. I am the President of Dogingham Palace Rescue that is writing this bio for Sawyer. I fell in love with him when I meet him as he is stunning and so sweet. I was looking for a dog that I could walk/hike with, with my husband and his dog. Sawyer was so easy on the leash for me. Back in 2022 I fought stage 3 breast cancer and have some of my journey on facebook under Dogingham Palace Rescue. Rescue is what got me through a year of chemo, radiation and surgeries. I was wanting to get my strength back and lose the steroid weight and having a dog with you on a trail is way more fun than being alone. I have now found out that it has spread to my lungs and through no fault of Sawyer I want to find him a wonderful new home. He needs more than I can give him with knowing I have another fight on my hands. He deserves to be in a home that can give him what I can't. When we would go out on trails if he heard children he got so excited. So would be good for a family or single person. He loves to play with dogs in my house. Mainly plays with 2 other dogs his size but also loves to play with one of my 10 lbs Chihuahua too. I do not have cats but I don't think he would be a problem for one. He is pretty much house trained, but does still have an accident here and there. He sleeps in a dog bed right next to my bed. I do crate him when I am not home as he is still very much puppy. He does also like to counter surf and we have lost a few steaks and other meals to him...lol. He is very food motivated. I think he was just left outside the whole time till I got him. He loves to play and also loves to come in and chill on the couch or by my side. Sorry the pictures are not great, he wants to move when I try to get pictures. He is definitely a dog that turns heads and everyone who sees him always asks what kind of dog he is. If you are interested in this handsome fellow please email us at Doginghamrescue@aol.com so we can send you an application. We are based in the Nashville, TN area and have most of our dogs transported up north. The $500 includes the adoption and transport fee (will have a health certificate too). The transport fee ($250) is not refundable if things do not work out.

Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Some dogs come to us with very special needs and BamBam is one of those dogs.  While he is a playful pup full of energy and affection, he is also extremely fearful of the world.  This fear can manifest into making him protective and reactive.  As his anxiety traits present a challenge, a quiet, experienced and patient home is required to address his needs.  He should also be in a home without children or other pets.  Among his many positive qualities, he is quiet, house trained, crate trained, and he will sit nicely and lift his paw for a treat.  He is extremely shy when meeting new people but once BamBam feels comfortable, he will be your loyal companion forever!    **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org.
