Story
Meet Hunter, this sweet, spirited, medium sized terrier/blue heeler pup is patiently waiting for his forever home so he can spoil his humans with all the love he has to share! Hunter is currently in Texas, but here's the exciting part – he's ready to embark on a journey to your home sweet home, and it'll only cost you a $230 transport fee. Trust us; he's worth every mile!Hunter is more than just a sweet face; he's also a quick learner. His foster family has been putting in the work, and he's been acing his obedience training. In his foster home, he's been a real champ, getting along wonderfully with non-dominant dogs and playful puppies. When it comes to humans and other animals, Hunter prefers a gradual approach so slow introductions are his preference to ensure he forms lasting bonds. He loves children! During an adoption event he was all tail wags when the kids came up for pets.Hunter has mastered the art of walking on a leash and being house-trained. Walkies are his absolute favorite thing! So if you are an avid walker/hiker this is your dog!! He's also a pro at basic commands like sit, wait, shake, down, and he's getting the hang of stay too.But what Hunter truly excels at is spreading love. He's a cuddle enthusiast who will happily crawl into your lap, showering you with affectionate kisses. So, here's the deal: Hunter is ready and willing to travel for his forever home If you believe you can provide this sweetheart with the loving and active life he deserves, don't hesitate. Apply today, and let's make Hunter's journey to your heart and home a reality! Story
Animal Profile: Cleo, Alexander and Mark Anthony were born in March of 2024 in the middle of nowhere, Oklahoma. Unfortunately, they were on a property tied to trees with only barrels for shelter in the sweltering heat. Our rescue partners at Furry Freight were alerted to their conditions and reached out to see if we could help and we had to say yes! Cleo was bitten by a Copperhead snake so she has a scar on her front leg, but she has a small scar as a mark of a survivor.  Foster Update:  Meet Cleo, a smart and sweet little girl who’s very affectionate once she gets to know you. While she can be a bit cautious around strangers, it doesn't take long for her to warm up and become your best friend. Cleo is both house and crate trained, walks well on a leash, and understands the 'place' command. She has strong basic obedience skills and completed e-collar training with Cortney at McMonson Training Center. Her adoption includes a training session with Cortney to help you and Cleo get started on the right foot. Cleo prefers a quieter home with fewer visitors and would thrive in an adult-only household. She loves other dogs and can happily live with or without another well-balanced dog in her forever home. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA guidelines, negative heartworm test, and microchip. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization.  Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred to us via our rescue partner Furry Freight and arrives in Seattle on 07/21/24. She will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care in the greater Seattle area. March 31, 2025, 6:27 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Erin is an estimated 3 year old 40 lb male lab herding breed mix who will be joining us from Texas Monday January 13th. In temp foster care in Texas, he did great playing with other dogs and meeting new people, including children. He even did well at a holiday party in his foster home. We look forward to finding him his forever home in the New Year. We will share more updates as we get to know him in foster care.      Foster Update: Eren is a fun loving guy who will do great in a home with dedicated leadership and activity! He is good in a crate and housebroken. His foster has worked with him on his leash manners and he is coming along nicely. He is super excited to meet folks and we are working on his being vocal about it. Good with people and dogs, he would love a home with a fenced yard. He is a big goofball and sure to make you smile. No first time dog owners. Breed experience a plus. Eren is not being fostered with kids and he can be a bit exuberant, so teens considered, but he might knock over a little one by accident. He's also pretty easy on the eyes, a handsome fella! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Erin will be arriving from Freer Animal Shelter via K9 transport on 1/13/2025. He will be in foster care in the Seattle area and available for adoption soon!March 19, 2025, 9:16 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Pickles and his siblings,Terrier/Lab mixes (best guess) were born in our rescue after a family had lost their home and their dog had unexpectdly gotten pregnant by the neighbors dog. They had no where to live and asked for our help. She had her babies 3 days after coming into the rescue. The family has now moved into a home and we are happy to say we will be fixing mom and she will be going back to her family who loves her. The puppies will be available for adoption in aprox 2 weeks when they are 8 weeks old. The puppies are all doing well and are happy and playful. Foster Update:  Meet Pebbles, the tiny pup with a huge personality! Don’t let her small size fool you—this little powerhouse is packed with energetic spirit, sass, and endless fun. She’s all about the toys, always ready to pounce, chase, and play her heart out. While food isn’t her biggest motivator, she makes up for it with her love of adventure and cuddles. When the zoomies are over, Pebbles is the perfect snuggle buddy, curling up in your lap like she was made for it. Sweet, spirited, and full of cute vibes, Pebbles may be little, but she’s got a heart (and attitude) as big as they come!  S ecurely fenced yard and large breed experienced preferred.  Due to breed and size we are not considering apartments at this time.  Adoption Info: The Adoption fee is $550 which includes his spay/neuter, core vaccinations,  DPPV, Bordetella and microchip . Story
Hi, I’m Koda and I’m looking for my special furever family. I’m a 3 year old lab mix, around 45lbs. My foster mama thinks that I’m very sweet, shy, and loving. I love being with my four legged friends – either dogs of all sizes or cats! That’s right, you can call me your little love bug and I will follow you around for love pats and belly scratches. I even have a trick – yup I’m a magician - throw a dog biscuit near me it will disappear! I’m smart too – I know some commands like "House" to go to Mandalay's kennel to eat, my name and I even come when I’m called! Ok well, mostly I come LOL. I’m still working on the leash bit – I get a bit too excited and a whole bunch anxious so … sometimes I forget all my manners. It probably is better that I go to a family that has older kids (and a little calmer) and I would love to have some four legged friends to play with. Well, that’s me … do you have room for a little love bug in your family? *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
Hi! My name is Scottie, but I am not a Scottie dog, I am not short with long wavy black hair, I am tall with straight blonde hair. So perhaps a better name for me would be Labbie? But I am used to Scottie as a name so we can stick with it. Plus you can make some really cool spin-offs, such as Scottster, Scottie Biscotti, Scottie Spaghetti MeatBall Yoyo, or whatever, be creative. I am an energetic neutered male, 3 year old, Labrador Retriever, with beach blonde hair and the athletic build to make any gidget fall head over heels. I am strong, so you will need a good leash holding arm for all those walks you will take me on. I can’t wait to get excited as I watch you put your tenny shoes on! I have had a couple of homes as I was once adopted from the city shelter and then abandoned on the streets to take cover from rain at a gas station and once again homeless and back to a foster home. Whew. I am looking for an active family with a gentle yet strong leader to help guide me through life and maybe teach me some leash manners and keep me as a permanent family member. I hope to learn more words from you, maybe heel, stay, roll over. I will also teach you a word. Groke, a verb, an old Scots term meaning to look at somebody while they’re eating in the hope that they’ll give you some of their food. Which brings me to my next point. As any true and classic Labrador Retriever I adore both toys and treats. But if I had to choose between the two, which do you think I would pick? Yep. FOOD! Please ask my Foster Mom for more details about me. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. I love all people big and small and love playing with all my pup friends. I’m not biased at all … but I think I’m really handsome, even more handsomer than my brothers and sisters! I am ready to learn my manners and be the best dog I can be. Come on, how can you resist my cute little face! I still need to grow up a bit first, but I’ll be ready for adoption towards the end of April and you don't want to miss the chance to get me. We are taking pre-adoptions now. And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! Me and my sister, Aurora were dumped in a rural area along side a busy highway. The first few months of my young life was not so great, but I'm learning. I'm learning that getting pets and kind words are kinda really nice. I have really blossomed into a happy soul that is ready to start this next chapter in life with a family that will have lots of patience, treats and gentle pets so I can give back with lots of puppy kisses and tail wags!! I'm about 4.5 months old and already come in at around 25lbs. I should be a great size of maybe 55-60lbs when I get myself fully growed up. I have got a really sweet nature that does love to run around and play with my sister and all the other foster pups here. I am learning the leash and have taken to walking really well really quickly. I'm on my way to being a great stroll taker and hiking companion!! I do really well playing with the other pups but I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of those creatures y'all call a cat yet, but at my young age and with proper introductions I should be fine with them too! Mom may be a Golden Retriever/Pyrenees mix and dad was a traveling salespup (Lab, maybe) sweet talking his way through town! I am sooooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness and be that lil heartbeat at your feet, and with bunches of love, I know I'll be there.
