Story
Disclaimer: I am in Texas. I can be transported once adopted. Transport cost is $230. My name is Clyde, I was rescued from the river with my sister (Bonnie). Someone had just decided to dump us both. Despite my rough beginning I'm a very sweet boy, Foster mom says I love lots of attention and pets. I also love snuggling on the couch if you'll let me. I'd do best in a home with other dogs (or puppies). If you think you are that person please apply to adopt me from my foster home in TX.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Animal Profile: Misha is a 2-year-old, 48 lb mixed breed neutered male who was adopted in Summer 2020 as a puppy and is being surrendered to the rescue as his owner doesn't have an ideal environment for him. Misha is a Lab/German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix. He is very smart, athletic, affectionate, sensitive, and eager to please. He is also very food-motivated and loves to work and learn. Indoors, Misha is very laid-back and loves to cuddle. He has never met a human he didn't get along with and is very friendly. Misha does well at doggy daycare and has good social skills with other dogs, but he is recovering from leash reactivity. He's been doing great with engagement training and will benefit from an owner willing to continue that focused, structured work in a less dog-dense environment. Misha knows basic obedience including heel, sit, down, and place. He is house trained and improving with his crate training.  Adopter Profile: Secure fenced yard preferred Balanced dogs OK Kids OK Foster Updates: Stay tuned for details. Adoption Info: Misha's adoption fee is $550, which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Misha was rescued as a puppy in June 2020; his owner relocated to the Seattle area and has struggled to meet his needs in an apartment and busy dog dense environment, post-coved. He is currently being fostered in the greater Seattle area. May 28, 2023, 3:54 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Lexi is an estimated 1-year-old 55lb spayed female "Texas Brown Dog" mix (possibly rhodesisan ridgeback, black mouth cur, boxer mix?) who joined us from TX on 03/25/2023.  Our partners in Texas say she is a happy, playful little girl -- friendly with people and other dogs as well.  More details to come as we get to know her. Foster Update:  Lexi is a happy girl and she is settling in well with her foster family. She loves spending time with people and the resident pup. Lexi is pretty quiet and sleeps well through the night in her crate and is just starting to learn some basic commands. She does pretty well on walks and is curious/happy to meet new people and dogs when out and about. She likes to wrestle, play chase, and is content playing with sticks on her own in the yard. Lexi would do well with an active family ready to help continue her training and ideally another well-rounded dog in the family as a companion.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was picked up as a stray and taken to Kurth Animal Shelter in TX and transferred to Seattle via our rescue partner Austin Pets Alive.May 28, 2023, 3:54 pm

Hi, I'm Charlie. I am an 11 year old lab mix, around 42 lbs. I am a sweet older girl who is best friends with Olive. We would love to stay together if possible cos we are all we have known. I get along great with all people and with all the other doggos, but Olive is my BFF. Please don't be put off by my age, even seniors like myself (and Olive) need love and still have lots of love to give. I enjoy walks still and spending quiet times with my people. Because I am a bit older, I would prefer a home without smaller children as they can be a bit rambunctious for me. Please find out about myself (and Olive) soon, we really want to be in a home again. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kenneled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Hi there, I'm Lulu, and I am a sweet friendly girl who gets along with everyone. I’m a 2 year old lab mix, around 44lbs. I was brought in with my gal pal BooBoo and though we would love to be adopted together - it isn't necessary as I love all dogs. I am a typical lab in many ways; super sweet, love people, love treats and just want to be your best friend. I would love an active family cos us labs like to have fun! Does this sound perfect to you? Then hit me up! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Hi, I'm Shadow, a 1yr old lab mix, around 65lbs. I am a loving boy who wants to play with you all day. I love to play catch (although I don't actually bring you the ball back), I love to give kisses and can be pretty excitable. I love treats and will listen well to get them so training shouldn't be too difficult for me. I love most other doggos and enjoy play time with them. Due to me being bigger and a bit excitable, I'd do better in a home with older kids who I can't knock over as easily! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
Ruth is a loving 1 year old lab/heeler mix, around 58lbs. She jumps on you very gently when you come home – but just to give you a hug. She does not lick your face nor jump on you constantly. She has stayed with cats, but I'm not sure she is good with them (we have to remind her to leave them alone). She loves to sleep on your feet or legs in the lazy boy and will follow you anywhere. She tries to talk to you with a cute bark sometimes. She is an alfa. At home, other dogs take a while to get used to, but at dog park, she is great. She loves the river and car rides with the window down (just a little). House trained and Kennel trained. Perfect pup for single dog home. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Hi, I'm Gracie, and in case you didn't already guess, Macie is my sister. I’m a 1 yr old lab mix, around 40 lbs. We are both super sweet girls who do not have to be homed together but it sure would be nice too. I love the peoples and also all the other doggos. I am still very young so be ready for lots of energy and keep me busy and tired, a tired dog is a happy dog! I hope you love my sleek black glossy coat and my big brown eyes, I am hard not to fall in love with! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
Animal Profile: is a 2.5-year-old, 70lb spayed female Golden Retriever,  Poodle, Shepadoodle mix. Gigi was enrolled in a training program with K9 Command, and her elderly owner decided it was in Gigi's best interest to be rehomed to someone that had more time and energy to meet her needs. Foster Update: Gigi has completed a full obedience board and train. She knows many commands including: sit, down, place, heel with auto sit, come, and kennel up. Gigi's confidence has grown exponentially with her training. She can still be a little insecure around new people and environments, but once she warms up she is very loving. Gigi requires an experienced dog owner who can continue demonstrating leadership in order for her to feel confident in herself. Gigi is house trained, crate trained, and has basic obedience training. She would be best as the only pet, living in a home with children who 12 and up. Gigi is a heart-warming and loving companion and she absolutely deserves a family to call her own. Adopter Profile: Large breed experience required. No children under 12. Single pet household. Willing to continue with balanced training *We will not respond to your application if you do not meet the above requirements * Adoption Info: Gigi's adoption fee is $550, which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip with lifetime registration, and take home training session. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Gigi joined the rescue when her elderly owner could no longer meet her needs. Gigi has been  vetted and trained with no expense spared in her care but needed more physical/mental stimulation to be her best self. Gigi is being fostered with Seattle K9 Command Training and is currently available for adoption.  May 28, 2023, 3:54 pm

Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Ethan - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Ethan, 9 months old and has never known a real family. :( He's looking for help to realize his dreams. Maybe it's YOUR family?!! Sweet, playful, loving, he has the greatest attitude to make a great family addition. He won't get much bigger, so he'll be a great size to share in all your adventures. He hasn't had a lot of leash training but is doing great. He walks fairly well on the leash but will need some practice runs to fully acquire all the skills needed for a nice neighborhood stroll. Ethan has the sweetest nature and is a friendly happy pup that loves his people and playing with the other foster dogs. He is energetic and will need lots of daily exercise and playtime. But don't forget the cuddles afterwards. He is a 45 lb sponge, ready to soak up all the learning you are willing to teach him. Sh He would make a great candidate for some obedience classes or maybe even some agility classes. Ethan would love an active family that would include him in their adventures. Could he be waiting for YOU?!!
