Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue. We transport our dogs to new homes once adopted. All our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org Hi, I'm Bowie 💛 I'm about 3 years old, around 40 pounds, and I've been told I have the softest velvety coat (you'll have to confirm that yourself). I didn't always have it easy—I was found sitting scared on the side of the road outside a neighborhood—but I'm ready to leave that part behind and find my forever home. Let me tell you the most important thing about me: I LOVE BALLS. Kong, Chuckit, squeaky, bouncy—I'm not picky. If it bounces, I'm in. I'll watch it like a hawk, leap to catch it mid-air, and happily play fetch for as long as you'll throw it. I might even try to trick you into a little game of keep-away... but don't worry—if you pretend you're done, I'll bring it right back and nudge it into your hand. Deal? I'm playful, energetic, curious, and I like to keep an eye on my people (you'll feel very important, I promise). I'm also pretty smart—I've already learned to sit while I wait for my ball, and with a little patience (and maybe some snacks 👀), I know I can learn even more. My dream home? Probably a couple with no young kids, a yard to run around in, and humans who like being outside as much as I do. I'm still figuring out other dogs, and I haven't met any cats yet, so I may need a little guidance there. Kids make me a bit nervous, so a calmer home would help me feel safe. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving best friend who will keep you moving, make you laugh, and always be ready to play... I'm your girl. Now... you got a ball? 🎾

Story
Please note that this dog is currently located in TX and will be transported once adopted. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Meet David Bow Wowie! 🎶🐾 Move over, David Bowie—there's a new star in town, and this one has four legs! ⭐ Meet David Bow Wowie, a handsome 10-month-old, 45-pound Boxer/Lab mix (our best guess) who is ready to find his forever family. David is a happy, playful, people-loving pup who thinks everyone he meets is a potential best friend. He's wonderful with other dogs and loves having a canine buddy to play with. His favorite game? FETCH! 🎾 He'll happily chase a toy, bring it back, and do it all over again. And if there's water involved? Even better! David absolutely loves the water, so a family who enjoys outdoor adventures, swimming, or just watching a goofy dog have the time of his life would be right up his alley. At 10 months old, David still has plenty of puppy fun in him, but he's also incredibly sweet and eager to be part of a family. He's looking for a home where he can get plenty of love, playtime, and adventures—and maybe a comfy couch for those post-fetch naps. If you're looking for a fun-loving, water-loving, dog-friendly goofball to add some excitement (and a whole lot of love) to your life, David Bow Wowie might just be your guy! ❤️ Apply to adopt David Bow Wowie at haydudeequine.org! 🐶🎶

Story
Animal Profile: Wiley is a 1.5-year-old male Labrador Retriever/Husky mix (best guess!) who came to us from Texas along with his siblings. They were rescued by Animal Control from an overcrowded property and placed into foster care with one of our rescue partners before making their way to us. Wiley has grown into a happy, sweet, and affectionate dog. He's thriving in his foster home, and does well with older, dog-savvy children. With his friendly personality and playful nature, Wiley is ready to find an active family to call his own. Foster Update:  Wiley is a smart, fluffy goofball with a big personality! He's both crate trained and house trained, knows all of his basic commands, walks nicely on leash, and has an energetic, playful spirit. After spending several weeks with a professional trainer, Wiley is e-collar trained and has continued to thrive, enjoying plenty of adventures with his foster mom. Wiley is looking for an active home where he can be the only dog. He'll do best with someone who has breed experience, a securely fenced yard, and an adventurous lifestyle to match his energy. While he's not the right fit for a home with toddlers, older dog-savvy children should do well with him. Wiley also has plenty to say, so a house is a better match than an apartment where his chatty nature could be an issue. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from  Animal Advocacy & Rescue our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving via Byrdie Express to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.September 5, 2026, 8:04 pm

Story
Animal Information: Nicky is an estimated 4-year-old 55 lb now neutered male black lab mix who was a stray intake to County of Hawaii Animal Control after being hit by a car. This big goofy boy was lucky to suffer only some road rash - no fractures - and passed his temperament test with dogs and people with flying colors. When he was euth-listed for space, he was pulled by an island rescue to a private boarding kennel from COH-AC and networked for rescue transfer. Kennel staff notes that he walks well on a leash (especially after play time), shows no resource guarding tendencies, and is not destructive with toys. He has good social skills with other dogs, taking cues well, and is friendly with all people including the children he has met at many adoption events.  Foster Updates: Nicky is a real love! He does well in his crate when left alone, but prefers to sleep on the couch. He loves to play with the resident dog and loves to play with toys too, though he isn't destructive with them. Especially loves tug with his large rope toy. He is mostly a quiet boy -- only barks when he thinks the house needs guarding, like when the scary scary mailman approaches. He LOVES to snuggle. He will lay on top of his foster mom for hours. He needs a bit of work with his leash manners but he’s got some of the basic commands down.  Other notes: He's great with the small senior dog in his foster home, he is curious about the kitten but will only lay down nearby and watch him, and wants to bark at the chickens. He is able to be very independent - will simply lay down in the grass and is perfectly content watching his foster mom garden. But when given the opportunity, he wants to be with his people and getting lovings and cuddles. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Action 4 Animals Hawaii. He will be transferred via Paws Across Water Hawaii (PAW HI), arriving to foster care on 6/10/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.September 5, 2026, 8:04 pm

Story
Animal Information:  Lila is a 1-year-old Lab/Labradoodle mix who came to us as an emergency intake. Her owner was fleeing a domestic violence situation and sadly could not bring Lila with them. Lila has been very loved and well cared for her whole life, and we promised her family that we would find her a wonderful home. Lila is a happy, social girl who loves everyone she meets. She went to doggy daycare regularly and does great with both small and large dogs. She also lived with two children under 7 and absolutely loved them. She is crate trained, house trained, loves car rides, and knows basic obedience. She does need some work on her leash manners because she likes to pull, but she is young and eager to learn. She is also learning not to jump, but approaches everything in life with 12 out of 10 enthusiasm. Lila has the softest ears, the sweetest face, and such a loving personality. She is a really special girl who deserves a family of her own. We know the right home is out there for her, and we can't wait to see her find it.  Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Story
Animal Profile: Sienna is an approximately 1 yr  old female Lab/Husky X  (guessing)  who joined us, along with her siblings, from Texas on 3/14/25. The puppies were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into care with our rescue partner. Sienna is a happy, sweet pup, doing well in her foster home, she is friendly with dogs, and older  kids. Foster Update:  Sienna is a 1.5 year-old Lab/Husky mix with a gentle spirit and an independent streak. She can be shy at first and takes time to warm up to new people. Sienna is food-motivated (smart girl alert) and already has basic manners like sit, down, crate and potty training down pat. She walks beautifully on leash when she’s comfortable, sleeps soundly through the night in her crate with no accidents, and is always up for a game of fetch or a joyful toy romp in the yard.  Sienna absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a furry canine friend and a fenced yard. Once she feels safe, she is sweet, playful, and full of gentle affection. She is timid around men and will need time, consistency, and patience to build trust. She has been friendly with the children in her foster home, but due to her shy nature we are not considering homes with small children. Older teens may be considered. Sienna should not live with cats, as she has a strong prey drive and would be inclined to chase them.  Sienna is just waiting for the right family who will move at her pace and help her shine. Could that be you?    Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Looking for a sweet boy to join your family? Check me out. I’m Starsky, a 3 month old lab mix, around 13 lbs. I am just a puppy so I have all the learning to do. I need you to be gentle and patient with me as I come from the streets and did not have an easy start to life. I love to play and I get along great with everyone and everything, although cats don't appreciate my game of "chase" so if you have a cat, hopefully it can recognize I am just being playful. I am doing great with my puppy pad house training and also learning to be in a crate, but you do need to encourage me as sometimes I might forget. I'm hoping you have some toys to play with and I'm hoping you like to get out and about cos' that plus love is really all I need. Check me out soon cos' I won't last. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Hi, I'm Chloe. I’m a 1yr old lab mix, around 40 lbs. My friend Henry and I are looking for our forever homes. We do not have to be adopted together but I'll be honest, we are both such nice and loving doggies that it will be hard to pick between us. We both love people and other dogs and are eager to find new friends to race around and play with. Because we are quite young still please be mindful that we don't yet have all our manners so if you have a little one, we might knock them down with our excitement... so just have bigger littles or be mindful of our lack of training at the moment. We hope you will pick one of us or both of us and make us part of your family! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Rehoming Nacho, I just don't have the time or money to give him what he needs right now. Not looking to make this hard on him, want him somewhere good. He's loyal as hell once he bonds with you. Barks at strangers at first, comes around in a few minutes. He's actually more nervous than tough, can react to other dogs, but if one pushes back he just bolts, he's not a fighter. Better off as an only dog, or introduced slow to a chill dog.Neutered male, born 12/6/23, 93 lbs, gold coat, black muzzle. Healthy, current on rabies, needs a couple boosters, not chipped yet.

Mocha is a sweet, energetic 3.5-year-old Lab mix looking for a new home due to my change in circumstances. She's spayed, up to date on rabies/DHPP, and due for routine boosters — full vet records available. She barks at unfamiliar people and does best with an owner who can work with her on socialization. Animal Profile: Marley is a 4-year-old, 60 lb neutered male mixed breed (DNA test showed German Shorthaired Pointer, Lab, Pitbull). He came to us as a puppy and was adopted but returned several years later due to anxiety around the young toddler in the home. Marley is friendly with other dogs but he has exhibited prey drive with the cats in his foster home, so we will not be considering homes with cats. He is discerning with new people but not reactive and  is a loyal companion to his people.. He is nervous with small children who don't respect his space. He is house trained, crate trained, and has good basic obedience training. We will share more as we get to know him in foster care.  Adopter Profile: Other dogs OK (not required) Dog-savvy older kids considered Fenced yard preferred Large breed experience  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from Texas as a puppy and adopted after a short stint in foster care. Story
Animal Information: May was found abandoned in an orchard in Eastern Washington with her three puppies, Lola, Bonita, and Bonny. Thankfully, our friends at Yakima Valley Pet Rescue brought the little family to safety. She weighs 42lbs and is estimated to be around 2 years old. Since being rescued, May has been friendly with both people and other dogs. She's been staying in a temporary foster home in Yakima with several other dogs and has done well with everyone she's met. As a German Shorthaired Pointer, May will do best with an active family that can provide the exercise, training, and mental stimulation her breed needs. We're looking forward to getting to know her better as she settles in and helping her find the right forever home. Foster Profile: Calling all GSP lovers! May is an active friendly girl waiting for a family to call her own. She loves all people and dogs she meets and is not shy when warming up to new people. She also knows how to read the room if another dog is not interested in playing with her and she carries on with her business. She is fairly active and loves to play and run but has an off switch and is always down for some snuggles. She is working on leash training and will benefit from continued training and structure to help her learn the ropes. She seems mostly disinterested in the cats she has met while out on walks so she will likely do well in a home with a kitty sibling, further cat testing can be done upon request. She will be an ok apartment dog if her family is committed to meeting her exercise needs. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, heartworm test if indicated, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Story
Barkley is the sweetest pup with lots of energy. Always looking to play but also loves to snuggle. She is just about 6 months old, we adopted here at 2 months old from NOAH. We simply just dont have enough time to give her the play and walks she deserves, we have two little ones that she loves with a third on the way which is also part of why we need to rehome her. We also have a cat and older dog that she does great with, she's a little in the cats business but as to be expected with a puppy. She would do great in a home with property or someone who has time to get out with her. She would make a great hunting dog, she does catch critters on occasion already. She sleeps in the kennel overnight as of right now just due to her being a puppy still and curious about everything. We are hoping to find her a home with acreage or someone who is experienced with puppy training and has time to take her on plenty of walks. We can be flexible with her adoption fee her having a good home is first.
