Story
Animal Profile: Daisy is an estimated 1year old 60 lb black lab mix who was picked up as a stray along with her brother who was adopted. She has a goofy playful lab personality and temp tested well with all dogs and people at the overcrowded Caddo Parish shelter in Shreveport Louisiana. We will share more info as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Update:  Daisy is a total love! She’s like a little ball of sunshine, just friendly, happy, and cute. And such a fast learner! She is excited and a little shy around people, but melts into pets and scratches and loves to snuggle. She is excited, happy, and playful when she sees dogs no matter if they’re interested in her or not. She loves her crate, knows “go to bed” and goes in all by herself, turns around, and waits. She is very quiet in the crate except the first few moments after you leave the room but she settles super quickly. Overnight she is perfectly quiet and sleeps through the night. Daisy's leash skills are coming right along! She can loose leash walk in a low distraction environment (neighborhood, no people or dogs in sight, or just us/our dogs parallel walking). She does pull but not hard and each walk is better than the last with less pulling! She loves toys. Anything that squeaks, crinkles, bounces. Basically every toy is her favorite and she can’t wait to play with all of them! Based on her size and breed we believe Daisy will do best in a single family home, preferably with a fenced yard and are not considering apartments at this time. Daisy is such a sweet girl who’d love an active NW family to call her own! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Caddo Parish Animal Shelter in Shreveport Louisiana and arriving to Seattle via Tail Lights Rescue Project on 3/23/25. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. May 20, 2025, 2:26 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Honey Bear is a ~3 month old, female Lab/Husky X  (guessing), puppy who joined us along with her siblings from Texas on 04/23/2025. Puppies and mom were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into care with our rescue partner. Honey Bear is a happy, sweet pup, doing well in her foster home, friendly with dogs, cats and kids. Foster Update: Honey Bear is a sweet and spunky pup who lives up to her name—equal parts cuddly and adventurous. She’s curious about everything and loves to follow her people around, always ready to explore or flop over for belly rubs. Honey Bear loves to go on car rides and does some of her best nap work while on the ride. She’s picking up crate training quickly and settles in nicely at night with only a few whines. On walks, Honey Bear trots happily alongside me and she is working on basic commands. She is eager to please and responds well to positive reinforcement. Honey Bear would thrive in a home with another friendly dog or as the center of attention. With her loving personality and playful spirit, Honey Bear will bring a whole lot of joy to the lucky family that welcomes her home .    Due to breed we are not considering apartments at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Story
Animal Profile: Boone is a 6 month old, male Lab/Cattle dog  X (guessing), puppy who will be joining us along with his siblings from Texas on 03/14/25. Puppies were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into foster care with our rescue partner. He is a happy sweet pup, doing well in his foster home, friendly with dogs, cats and kids, awaiting his freedom ride to the PNW. Foster Update:   Boone is a very sweet puppy who loves to play with his toys, nap with his human, and is a quick learner. He is friendly with people and dogs, but cautious when meeting them for the first time. He's food motivated and is picking up basic training easily. He loves to be held and cuddled and is very gentle when taking treats. He sleeps through the night in his crate with the standard puppy potty breaks.  Boone spent 3 weeks being fostered by one of our trainers and walks great on leash, is quiet in the crate when left alone, and is building confidence while acclimating to noisy city life. He's an absolute sweetheart you can't help but fall in love with! Boone will need a family with breed experience who will be dedicated to his continued training, a securely fenced yard, and will do best with a canine companion to help show him the ropes. We are not condidering apartments for him at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Molly - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Looking for a new FBF (furry best friend)? Look no further than Molly, hey, hey all you wonderful people out there, they're talking about 'lil' ole me!! And I'm here looking to adopt me a family, a home...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I came into this rescue with 8 beautiful babies that will soon be posted for homes of their own too. I was a great mom but happy to say, they will be my last!! I am ready to embark on a different journey where I can enjoy the family life giving lots of stubby wiggles, puppy kisses and have lots of playtime! And with my stubby tail I have the cutest butt wiggles!! Best guess is I'm around 2 years old and I come in at right about 45lbs. I am so very sweet and am happiest when I'm velcroed to your side! I am fairly active and would love a family that will include me in all their adventures, anything from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting. I'd make a great mascot for soccer games or ballgame tournaments. But when the day is done, my favoritest spot is with my head on your lap or resting on your foot. I am a sweetie that does great with all people, both tall or small and I do really well playing with the other pups here at my foster home, although I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting any of those creatures y'all call a cat. I love playing fetch and am learning how to catch (when it isn't bouncing off my nose!!) :) I have probably spent most of my life outside but I'm learning house manners quickly. I would benefit from some basic obedience so I could learn to be that much more awesome! I do pick things up quickly and love to please! I am sooooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness on my new family so if you think I'd be that pawsomely perfect match for you and your lifestyle please stop scrolling. All you need to do is fill out my adoption application and I will do all the rest! You can find it at haydudeequine.org

I is ready to start this next chapter in life with lots of puppy kisses, tail wags and playtime with my new family!! I loves to run around and play with toys and my brothers. I has a lot of energy and would be the perfect companion for an active family. I would also be a pawsomely perfect addition to your family as a 'sibling' or hogging all the attention as your one and only. I do great with people both tall and small but I do have those sharp lil teeth and nails. I get on great love playing with my siblings and although I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of those creatures y'all call a cat yet, at my tender age if introduced properly I should do fine with them too! I has the most beautiful dark dark coat that looks almost black until the sun shines on it showing the dark chocolate underneath. Mom is a chocolatey Labrador mix (about 45lbs) and dad was a traveling salespup sweet talking his way through town! I will probably be around 40-50lbs when I get myself fully growed up. Hi I’m Jack! I’m a sweet 12 week old lab mix puppy – look how cute I am!!! I'm super affectionate, cuddly and playful, a typical puppy in every way. Did I mention that I really LOVE attention!! I love all people big and small and love playing with all my pup friends. I’m not biased at all … but I think I’m really handsome, even more handsomer than my brothers and sisters! I am ready to learn my manners and be the best dog I can be. Come on, how can you resist my cute little face! Contact the ladies at Right to Live Rescue quickly! We won’t last long! All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kenneled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Story
Hi! My name is Scottie, but I am not a Scottie dog, I am not short with long wavy black hair, I am tall with straight blonde hair. So perhaps a better name for me would be Labbie? But I am used to Scottie as a name so we can stick with it. Plus you can make some really cool spin-offs, such as Scottster, Scottie Biscotti, Scottie Spaghetti MeatBall Yoyo, or whatever, be creative. I am an energetic neutered male, 3 year old, Labrador Retriever, with beach blonde hair and the athletic build to make any gidget fall head over heels. I am strong, so you will need a good leash holding arm for all those walks you will take me on. I can’t wait to get excited as I watch you put your tenny shoes on! I have had a couple of homes as I was once adopted from the city shelter and then abandoned on the streets to take cover from rain at a gas station and once again homeless and back to a foster home. Whew. I am looking for an active family with a gentle yet strong leader to help guide me through life and maybe teach me some leash manners and keep me as a permanent family member. I hope to learn more words from you, maybe heel, stay, roll over. I will also teach you a word. Groke, a verb, an old Scots term meaning to look at somebody while they’re eating in the hope that they’ll give you some of their food. Which brings me to my next point. As any true and classic Labrador Retriever I adore both toys and treats. But if I had to choose between the two, which do you think I would pick? Yep. FOOD! Please ask my Foster Mom for more details about me. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
Hi, I’m Koda and I’m looking for my special furever family. I’m a 3 year old lab mix, around 45lbs. My foster mama thinks that I’m very sweet, shy, and loving. I love being with my four legged friends – either dogs of all sizes or cats! That’s right, you can call me your little love bug and I will follow you around for love pats and belly scratches. I even have a trick – yup I’m a magician - throw a dog biscuit near me it will disappear! I’m smart too – I know some commands like "House" to go to Mandalay's kennel to eat, my name and I even come when I’m called! Ok well, mostly I come LOL. I’m still working on the leash bit – I get a bit too excited and a whole bunch anxious so … sometimes I forget all my manners. It probably is better that I go to a family that has older kids (and a little calmer) and I would love to have some four legged friends to play with. Well, that’s me … do you have room for a little love bug in your family? *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Koa is a very amazing dog, she is very lovable and loves to play ball. Although she has never been in a dog park full of other dogs, i believe she can get used to other dogs the more she is in that environment. She is house-trained, and when feeding her she will wait till on command to eat. She loves sleeping on the bed, and is good with being around children just gets lots of excitement. She loves to be loved, and will stay by your side.
