A fenced in yard is required! Rylo was a local surrender after being taken from an abusive home. He is a friendly, dog friendly little guy, Chihuahua/Terrier mix. He is crate trained. A home with another little dog is needed. He is good with kids and other small dogs and loves to sleep in bed with you! He is a little guy with a very big personality.Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received. Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping. Butler was rescued by Animal Rescue Corps from a double-hoarding case in Tennessee. Butler isn`t sure how he feels about the world just yet, but with time and reassurance, he will learn to enjoy life as mans best friend. He may be wary of staff, but when he gets scared, he always seeks the comfort of a warm lap. Say hello to itty bitty Izzy! This sweet girl was transported to us from Southern IL, where she was surrendered with her two male puppies. She is a Chihuahua mix and weighs around 8lbs. While this doggy is small, she has tons of love to give! She loves to cuddle and gives lots of kisses. (They are stinky kisses but that`s okay!) Her favorite place to be is under blankies. She dives under them and curls up until she is comfy; she`s very cat-like! Yes, she will sleep under your comforter with you. Izzy does do well in a crate, though is happier when the crate is in the same room as humans. She was fostered for a little bit in a home with four cats, and she did amazing with them. It seems like she`s been around them before; she gave them space and acted like they she knew them. During feeding time, she would stand in the middle of them, like she was one of them. Izzy is very submissive and flips over a lot, especially to trick you into giving her belly rubs. She does get the zoomies every now and then and plays with her little stuffed squeaky toy, but most of the day she is sleeping under the blankets. She has been friendly with everyone she meets, just a little bashful at first. Izzy does tend to really bond with one person and will follow that person around like a little shadow. She was previously trained on potty pads; she does still use them but also is learning to go potty outside like a big girl and doing well. She walks great on a leash. Don`t forget to get her bundled up for the cold weather, because she gets cold easily! Izzy would be happiest in a home where she gets to be with people a lot and who doesn`t mind a little alien always being by their side. Oh, and she loves to stare at her bonded person with her best puppy dog-eyes, like the whole world was made by that person and she is so thankful that that person is her savior. She will make you feel special. (She might even add some excitement to your life, by giving you a little jump-scare when she appears next to you, staring into your soul in the dark!)
