Story
Meet Jelly, Jelly Belly, Jelly Roll, Jell Bell…  She’ll come to just about anything if you talk nice to her!    This 20 pound Chihuahua/Dachshund (Chiweenie) mix is so easy going! She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids (even little kids)! Don’t let her eyes confuse you. She always looks worried but she’s not! It’s just her face!!     Jelly came to us because she was full of bladder stones and broken teeth.  Both of these issues have been resolved and she’s ready for her forever home! She will need to be on a high quality freeze dried food or prescription food to make sure those nasty stones never come back!    Jelly will go outside to potty or use potty pads if you’re not home. She has been crated in the past, but it does make her anxious and she’ll bark. Honestly, there’s been no need to crate her in her foster home! She loves to go for walks and walks well on a leash. But she’s also perfectly content to lay on the couch and snooze and cuddle with you. At night she LOVES sleeping in bed with you and is happiest curled up next to you under the blankets. She’s simply a wonderful dog!      Jelly had an echocardiogram which revealed the early stages of heart disease. However, she is not in heart failure and does not require any medication at this time. The vet did recommend that she lose a few pounds, so she would love to find a walking buddy to help her meet her weight loss goals!     Approximate DOB: 2014 Foster Home Location: Whitewater      If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful dogs, you can apply on our website: https://forms.gle/MGakwmFh92UiK9iM6     Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the dog that interest you. All of our dogs are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect dog!       Our adoption fees:    Adults (up to 7 years): $275   Seniors (8 years and up): $200     All dogs are spayed or neutered, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies, bordatella and distemper, tested for heartworm and microchipped.June 15, 2024, 4:40 pm

Story
Meet Toby! Hi all, I’m Toby! Foster mom says I’m a “cute little squeak.” I’m not sure what she means, since I hardly make a peep except when I’m being a guard dog (like us little chihuahuas have to be). I'm a senior guy, weighing just 8 pounds, but I could stand to lose one pound to be a healthy weight I was surrendered to a shelter when my owner could no longer keep me and boy was it scary! It's hard to be a little guy in a big world sometimes. But Albert’s took me in, and I’m getting comfy in my foster home day by day. I love getting pets. I was surrendered with my sister Molly, and we’ve always lived together, but we aren’t bonded. In my foster home, I live with lots of other dogs, and I get along with them, but sometimes I have to tell them who is boss (me, obviously). I also get along with respectful kiddos, but I won't seek their attention. I just kind of like hanging out. I love lounging in a soft dog bed or even in my crate (it's my quiet place). I don’t mind being crated at all, in fact, but I’m house trained and don’t destroy anything, so I don’t need to be crated. I do well on a leash and really enjoy going for walks, but my stride is much shorter than yours! I recently had a dental cleaning, and I had a lot of my teeth removed (I guess that is what you get when you don’t brush!). Foster mom says it’ll give me “fresh breath.” I’m also being treated for anaplasma and lymes disease (both caused by tick bites). I don’t have any symptoms, and I probably never will, but Albert’s just wants to make sure I get extra good care. I'm hoping that will be with you! *Toby is being fostered in Madison, WI. Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair). Story
Mrs. Potts and her son, Chip, are looking for a forever home together! The two are always together and inseparable and their bond is very heartwarming to experience. Mrs. Potts and Chip are potty pad trained. They will cuddle with their human once in awhile but they spend most of their time snuggling together. They get very excited when it's time to eat but they should be fed in a separate area at mealtime if other dogs are in the home. Mrs. Potts was recently spayed, received a dental, and had numerous mammary tumors removed that were benign. She has arthritis that she will need daily pain medication for but she's a happy girl.
