Meet Phillip! Nickname: Philly Cheese Fun Fact: Phillip will most definitely set the pace on walks. Don’t think it is up to you! Rescue: Albert's Dog Lounge Age: Golden Oldie Weight: 10 lbs Health issues: Watching liver levels, only medication is Denamarin ($32 per month on Chewy) History: Phillip was surrendered with 4 other dogs to Tennessee shelter Foster home: Fitchburg, WI Activity level: Low Friendly with: Other dogs and adults. He is particular as to how he is picked up and will nip if it is done incorrectly. Children may not be a good fit due to this. Has not been around cats in Wisconsin, but reportedly was not a fan of them in Tennessee. Sleep style: Phillip sleeps in a small fluffy dog bed on his foster dad's bed. He currently sleeps about 7 hours a night without much movement or snoring. He like to cuddle before bed and when he wakes up. Meals: Special low-fat diet. He is currently on smallbatchdog freeze-dried sliders for dogs. He is fed twice day following the recommendation on the bag. He is treat motivated Bark-o-meter: 2/10 Shedding meter: 1/10 Fashion: definitely not sweaters. He’ll nip you for even trying! Loungewear, but on his terms Signature color: Green, white, and red representing his breed's Mexican background. Bonus: those are Christmas colors too! Walk out song: “Tom Sawyer" by Rush seems appropriate for Phillip. Favorite season: Summer, when the humans aren’t trying to put clothes on him! Personality: Phillip is a free-spirited boy and just wants to do his own thing. Best feature: He is amazingly espectful to his foster brother. He will always let him finish eating or drinking before approaching the bowl. He would be a great friend to a laid back, mild mannered dog. Signature Move: Napping (and giving you attitude if you wake him up) Love Language: Food. Allllll the food. He can help you cook too! (And wait for you to drop something!) Loves: Since both fosters work from home, Phillip gets alot of attention and enjoys being by his foster dad's side. He attentive and will attempt sitting on our lap whenever the opportunity presents itself. He wants to know what we are doing and will seek us out if he can't see us out if he is curious. Lammy is his one and only favorite toy and likes to shake it around a few times a day to entertain us. Bucket list: Learning to use the internet and your credit card. He thinks Amazon looks AMAZING. Neutered Microchipped Housebroken, but you need to go regularly and watch his cues! Very easy to leash walk Does not need a crate, just a comfy dog bed UTD on vaccinations UTD on preventatives Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Meet Joseph! Nickname: The 11th Son (go brush up on your Broadway musicals if you don't know!) Breed: Chihuahua mix Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge Age: Senior Weight: 18 lbs Foster home: Stoughton, IL Activity level: Low Friendly with: Dogs, cats, and respectful children. Sleep style: Prefers larger dog beds, or a larger crate inside a dog bed Meals: 3 freeze dried small batch turkey patties morning and evening, plus a bedtime snack. Joseph LOVES snacks Bark-o-meter: 2/10 Shedding meter: 1/10 Best features: His singing voice. Just kidding, my expressive ears and my mighty tail waggle tie for first place! Favorite season: I do enjoy a leisurely early summer walk but am not a fan of pollen Signature color: Technicolor Fashion: Definitely a Dreamcoat. Or any hand woven, cozy clothes. Walk out song: Go, Go, Go Joseph (the chorus part) Fun fact: If Joseph had a job, he would be a dream interpreter. Or a food critic who would likely give everyone a five star review! Personality: playful, goofy, couch potato, sweet, shy, attention hog :) Neutered Microchipped Crate trained (large crates only please! Mostly housebroken, but will need a belly band when acclimating to a new house as he will mark for the first few days. Might not be a bad idea overnight also UTD on vaccinations UTD on preventatives Joseph is such a wonderful boy! He has had a rough go of things but is so resilient! He had a broken pelvis in April 2025 and a broken leg in August 2025, but has recovered and is doing so well. He does have some potential allergies that we are trying Benadryl to help with, and is cat friendly despite having a foster kitty sibling that likes to smack him around. He is a stage 2-3 clinger during his first few days of decompression in a new home then settles down. He is a happy boy who dances for his meals. Tom here! You know me! I`m the `tall, dark and handsome` young man in the Lufkin Room at Lakeland Animal Shelter. Well, maybe I`m not exactly tall but I sure am dark and handsome. In fact, I have the most gorgeous black ears and muzzle and two (count them...two!) beauty marks. I also have a really cool black tip on my tail and the cutest little ring around it too. But, enough about my good looks. I should tell you about my `real` self. You see, I`m kind of shy and a little afraid of people so I`m a bit hard to get to know but, boy oh boy, when you do, you`ll see what an AWESOME boy I really am. I love to head to one of the shelter`s meeting rooms and play with whatever toys I can find. I especially love soft `stuffies` and shaking the daylights out of them. I also love to run like the wind in the play yard! It`s been a bit tricky lately with all the snow but you know how the saying goes, `where there`s a will, there`s a way`! However, as much as I like doing these things at the shelter, I would be SO MUCH HAPPIER doing them in a caring and loving home with my new family. So, Santa, if you could find me the home of my `doggie` dreams, I would be so VERY GRATEFUL, and, oh yes, so VERY VERY HAPPY! Tom has been calling the shelter home since August 2025•11 months old•Negative for Heart worm•Microchip •Neutered•Would be best with no cats •Likes dogs but can be bossy
