Story
Meet Picadilly, a 5 year old 10 pound Chihuahua Pug mix.  Picadilly is full of life and loves life and all that goes with it.  She’s a happy fun curious little girl.  She’s very loveable and she loves to nuzzle her head under your chin. Picadilly gets along well with the other small dogs in her foster home and sees the cat as just another dog.   She gets the zoomies about once a day and after that you will find her sleeping calmly in her dog bed.  After a long day, she enjoys relaxing next to you or on your lap on the couch. She is just learning to walk on a leash, so a fenced yard is recommended to allow her outside for bathroom breaks. Picadilly does tend to be a barker, especially if she sees a squirrel outside the window, so she would probably not be good for apartment living.  She would also be best in a home with older children who will respect her boundaries.  She’s mostly potty trained if she’s let out often.  She sleeps in the kitchen at night with her foster siblings, but I’m sure she’d rather be in bed with you. She loves her toys and her treats.  She does tend to get a little cranky if she thinks another dog might be wanting her food.  After all she lived in a home with 2 large dogs and 3 other small dogs, so I’m sure they had a little challenge all getting enough to eat.  She’s just waiting for her home and could that be you. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Picadilly’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Hope is a tiny bundle of love whose sweet personality will melt your heart. She gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and adults, and would do best in a home with older children. 💕She is crate trained, housebroken, and is as cute as can be! Hope is also diabetic, but giving her the twice-daily insulin shots she needs is quick and easy, she even wags her tail the whole time. 💕This super-sweet little fur baby is ready to find her forever family. Could that be yours?Hope is 9 years old and weighs 9 pounds.Location: Foster homeThe adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾 Meet Gordo: 8 Pounds of Loyalty, Cuddles and Endless Love 🐾 Gordo may only weigh 8 pounds, but this little Chihuahua mix is living proof that the best things really do come in small packages. At just 3 years old, he’s equal parts lap-warmer, Nyla bone enthusiast, lizard chaser, and full-time heart thief. He’s got a soft spot for the ladies—his ideal home is with a calm, loving woman who doesn’t mind having a pint-sized shadow follow her from room to room. (Gentlemen, don’t worry—he’ll accept you too, but he’s a mama’s boy at heart!) Because of his sensitive nature, Gordo would do best in a quieter home without kids, ideally with another small dog buddy to snuggle and catch some rays. 💊 Gordo is considered special needs. He has occasional seizures, but with his daily meds (Levetiracetam and Phenobarbital—about $50 every two months), they are being managed well. He’ll also need Midazolam on hand, just in case. The good news? He takes his meds like a champ, and he doesn’t let this slow him down from enjoying life’s simple pleasures. Some of Gordo’s favorite hobbies include: Curling up with his human like a living, breathing neck pillow 💤 Catching some rays - made so much better if he can curl up with a doggie sibling Begging shamelessly for watermelon 🍉 Sitting in your lap just to be as close as possible ❤️ Joining his small-dog pals in epic standoffs with the vacuum Gordo is house trained, crate trained (he happily hops in at mealtime), and ready for a forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished. He may have been through a lot already, but Gordo’s heart is wide open and waiting. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive pup who will adore you endlessly (and maybe steal your watermelon), Gordo just might be your perfect match. Apply today at haydudeequine.org🐶💖

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Picasso - Creating Joy With Every Stroke of His Tail Move over, Michelangelo — there’s a new artist in town, and his medium is pure joy! Meet Picasso, a 1–2-year-old, 14-lb canine masterpiece who’s here to color your world with love, laughter, and a few perfectly placed paw prints. This pint-sized prodigy was found tied to a bus stop (clearly waiting for his next big exhibition), but he’s brushed off the past and is now painting a brighter future — one belly rub at a time. 💛 Picasso’s Greatest Hits (So Far): 🖌️ Compact size, museum-quality charm 🖌️ Excellent with dogs (especially the big ones — he loves the larger canvases!) 🖌️ Tolerates cats — after some initial “artistic curiosity,” he’s decided they don’t make great models 🖌️ Adoring of kids who know how to pet with gentle strokes 🖌️ Potty trained, kennel trained, and hasn’t marked his territory (even though we all know artists can be a little… expressive) 🖌️ Fully vetted and behaved like a total gentleman at the vet — no drama, just fine art 🖌️ Loves to snuggle and be carried like a baby — perfect for gallery tours or sofa exhibitions He’s playful, affectionate, and occasionally bounces around like a bunny chasing inspiration. When the muse strikes, you’ll find him zooming after stuffed toys, fetching with flair, or simply reclining on the couch like the distinguished work of art he is. Sure, every masterpiece has a few brushstrokes of imperfection — Picasso can be a little vocal when he hears something new, a tad too enthusiastic with smaller older dogs, and he’s still learning that sharing snacks is part of the deal. But with a loving home, he’ll polish his technique in no time. ✨ In summary: Picasso isn’t just a dog — he’s a living, wagging, tail-thumping limited edition. He’ll fill your home with laughter, your heart with warmth, and your days with color. So if you’re ready to adopt a one-of-a-kind original who believes love is the greatest art form of all — grab your brush (and your application)! 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org — because every masterpiece deserves the perfect frame… and Picasso’s looks best next to you. ❤️🐾🎨

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org ✨ Meet Sugarplum — the shy little sweetheart ready to melt your heart ✨ Sugarplum is a 5-year-old, 14-pound bundle of quiet sweetness who came from a hoarding case and is now learning what real love, safety, and comfort feel like. True to her name, she’s equal parts soft, sweet, and impossible not to adore — she just needs a little time to trust that the world is finally on her side. At first meet, she’s gentle, cautious, and prefers observing from a safe spot… but give her some patience, kind words, and a peaceful environment, and you’ll watch her bloom into the affectionate little lovebug she was always meant to be. Once you’re “in” with Sugarplum, you’re in. She’ll nuzzle close, follow you with those big soft eyes, and show you a level of loyalty that’ll warm you from the inside out. She’s great with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly four-legged sibling to help show her the ropes. In fact, she’ll take cues from another dog faster than you can say “Who’s a good girl?” (Spoiler: it’s her.) Her perfect home? A calm, patient human who works from home or is retired — someone who has the time and heart to help this sweet girl continue to build confidence at her own gentle pace. Sugarplum may not burst through the door with wild zoomies or immediate kisses, but the love she gives once she trusts you? That’s the kind of sweetness you can’t buy in any candy store. If you’re looking for a quiet companion, a soft presence, a loyal shadow, and a tiny heartbeat ready to be cherished… 🍬 Sugarplum is ready to sweeten your life — one tender moment at a time. 👉 Apply at haydudeequine.org and bring this precious girl home.
