Hi! I’m Joey and I’m a fabulous 13 year old senior gentleman. I don’t mean to brag, but I’m a very handsome red long-haired Chihuahua weighing just 10 lbs. I’m looking for my perfect family who will love me and provide me with a nice, quiet home in my golden years. I’m pretty happy with the simple things in life such as cuddling with my people, meal times and naps. I mean what else does one really need? If you’d like to run errands, I’m your man. I love to ride in the car and am the best little passenger you could ever have. Sometimes, though, I can get a little cranky when it comes to sharing my people with the other doggies. I would do well in a home where I’m the only dog, so the competition for mom or dad’s love won’t exist. Ideally, I would be pampered with attention in my golden years and not be subjected to youngsters, as that wouldn’t be so great for me or them. I would really love it if my new mom or dad would be at home with me more often than not, so I would not have to spend my days being left alone and crated. However, I don’t mind being crated for a couple of hours while my family runs errands. I know it might be asking a lot, but I do love sleeping in bed with foster mom at night and have become kinda spoiled, so a home that would continue to spoil me in that way would make me so happy. I’m working on potty training … let’s say I’m a work in progress. As I came from a puppy mill situation, I was not taught this skill as a young puppy, but I’m working on it now. I do have one small issue with my eyes called chronic dry eye which requires daily medication for the rest of my life. I am really very good about taking my medication for this so it is not a big deal. I am a lovable and sweet little man and would make a wonderful companion. I’m up to date on all my shots, am heartworm negative, on heartworm and flea preventative, neutered, microchipped, and de-wormed. Joey’s adoption fee is $250. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Hello there I’m Malcom, but I’m also known as “Mac”. I am a 9.5 year old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier. I have lived with the same family, with small children since I was rescued at one year old. I am generally comfortable with other dogs but sometimes I feel defensive when I am on a leash. I do great at doggie daycare and the dog park. I enjoy sleeping on a pile of blankets in front of a heating vent and playing catch. I am obsessed with balls! I would do best at a new home with a fenced in yard. I am mostly potty trained but sometimes I sneak off to pee in the house so I often wear a diaper to prevent any accidents when my parents can’t keep an eye on me. Hi! My name is Charlie. I am a female Charlie because I am so unique. When All About Paws Rescue found me, I was underweight, dehydrated, and my mouth was so infected that it had spread to my lip. They didn’t hesitate scooping me up and getting me the care I needed. That is when my new life began. I am 5 pounds of Chihuahua Spice!!! The vet said I am about 7 years old. I live in my foster home with 6 other dogs and 4 cats. They know that I rule! I like to wear my dresses or pajamas. I don’t mind any of my other animal siblings, but I can be a drama queen when they touch me because I am a delicate flower (when I need to be). I no longer have teeth so my foster mommy feeds me wet food. I am potty trained to a puppy pad, but when we go outside I take advantage of the grass to potty. Since I am so small AAP thinks I might be better in a home without really small children because they might squeeze me too hard. I like to bark when my fur-siblings bark. I like to sleep under blankets. I haven’t been taught to walk on a leash because who wouldn’t want to carry me? I love my human. My past didn’t make my heart any smaller. I do get nervous when I meet new people so I do the chihuahua shake until I get used to you. My foster mommy said that my new mommy and/or daddy has to be very special to get me because I am going to give them a lifetime of love. TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY Grandpa Lucky I have the weirdest name. What is that? "Grandpa Lucky. Sounds like I had a lot of luck in my short life, but I am not quite sure of all that. I just look like a Grandpa because I have lived outside most of the time and it is hard on a fella. I am only about 6 years old we think. First off, I was fished out of a river and taken to the city dog pound. I can't tell you how I got into the river, but foster mom suspects I had a little help with that. Well, it was lucky that I got fished out, but then I went to the city pound where I had 3 days before my time was up...literally. But then I got lucky again because foster mom saw me and just had to have me to foster so I got a ticket out of there. I was a pretty skinny dude when she got me, and it wasn't too long before she discovered that I love to eat. She noticed that I was having a little trouble walking on my back legs and that wasn't so good so when we got me checked out, it turns out that I have a little compression of my T4 to T6 vertebrae, whatever that is. Not good. But the vet lady said that nothing needed to be done for that so that was lucky. So, when I get a little tired, I hop like a bunny and the other times when I feel good, I walk like a regular dog. I had some tests done on my blood and I have worms living in my heart of all places. I am told that is not good. But it is lucky for me that foster mommy is giving me the medicines to kill those little varmints over time and not all at once. She said it is easier on me if we do it this way. Plus, it is lucky that I get the medicine in a little bit of tasty food that I love. Did I tell you I like to eat? About that, foster mommy tells me I can't gain too much weight, or it will be too hard on my joints and back and that won't be good. Aren't I lucky to have her to take care of me? The one complaint I have with foster mommy is that she doesn't have enough time to let me sleep in her lap during the day. I would like to have a lap in my new forever home and someone who will love me as much as foster mommy does. Because of the medicines that I am taking to kill the worms in my heart, we are looking for a forever home in the San Antonio area so I wouldn't have to travel so far. Besides having a lap to sleep in during the day, I want to sleep in the bed with you at night. I can't jump off the bed though but being with you all the time is what I want. This is Buddy, and he can't wait to be yours! Buddy is a sweet young Pug mix that started life off as a feral, until he was caught by a sweet and loving foster. Buddy got the good life after that! Spoiled with treats and given so much love he's developed into a great dog. Currently, Buddy is on bedrest after completing heartworm treatment so he needs lots of love and patience while he's resting and recovering. He's a very friendly boy and does great with pretty much everyone. He would do best in a household with an active family. Buddy does tend to bark at smaller animals so he would do best in a household that doesn't have farm animals or other small pets.
