Story
If you're looking for a low-key companion to sit at home and chill with, Marla is your girl! Marla is a blind older lady but she does not let that stop her! She is full of spunk and personality and loves to explore and strut her stuff. Marla would do best in a more calm environment since she can't see her surroundings and can become overwhelmed if there is too much going on. Marla really is a sweetheart that deserves only the finest things in life through her golden years. All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested (6 months and above,) and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. At the time of adoption all dogs are signed up with a unique Safe Paws QR pet ID tag, the adopter is required to maintain a monthly membership of $2.99/month for (at minimum) the first year. This helps insure your new furry family member makes his way back to you if lost. Leashes and collars are also required at the time of adoption. You are welcome to bring your own, or we have plenty to choose from at the shelter as well. If the pet you fall in love with is not quite ready for adoption, we do offer a $50 hold deposit that will insure you have first "dibs on adoption. Once an animal is available for adoption, we are not able to hold them, as there are so many animals waiting to come into our program. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays. You are welcome to fill out our quick 10 question adoption survey to facilitate a quicker process. This will also start the meeting process for those animals in foster care: Marla is a senior gal with a lot left to give. She is mostly blind but that doesn't slow her down. Marla is sweet and loves the comfort of a couch. If you're looking for the perfect gal to lounge with you, look no further. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MARQ/Dog

He’s a bit nervous/anxious at first but warms up quickly. He’s a real Velcro guy, always wants to be with or on top of & cuddling with his people. Great with kids as long as they’re kind & gentle. Great with other dogs. Not cat tested but I don’t foresee that being an issue because he’s not much of a bully.  He hasn’t gone on a ton of walks but I anticipate he’d love to travel & be with his family.    Approximate Birthdate:  April 2023 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Story
Lulu's sooo cute!!! She's a tiny senior, about 10 years old and only 12 itty bitty pounds, with adorably huge ears and Groucho Marx eyebrows. She's a couch potato dog who loves to cuddle and nap. Lulu does great with other dogs, cats, AND kids. Oh, this smarty pants is housetrained, too! Honestly, Lulu's as close to perfect as we can imagine. Lulu's looking for a forever home and is available through Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you can give Lulu a fabulous home. She's staying in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available!
