Story
Looking for a tiny companion with a big personality? Meet Milo, an adorable little guy whos ready to find his forever home.Milo is about 1 years old and weighs just 5 pounds. He appears to be a Terrier/Chihuahua mix, though the owner who surrendered him said he may be a Bichon/Chihuahua mix. Either way, hes a scruffy, lovable little pup who steals hearts wherever he goes.Milo is great with other animals, both big and small, and he has never shown any aggression toward adults, children, or other pets. He walks well on a leash and also does great being let out in a fenced yard. He rides well in the car and travels easily. He loves playing with his toys and is well behaved in the house, not chewing on things he shouldnt. Milo does not like being in a crate, but he does very well roaming freely around the house. He is also still working on potty training but is doing very well with it.Milo is a sweet, social little dog who enjoys being around people and other pets. He would do well in a home looking for a small companion with a fun, loving personality.Apply to meet Milo at ricopetrecovery.org. The adoption fee for Milo is $250. The fee includes two sets of vaccines, neuter and microchip.

Story
Meet Buddy. Buddy is a 2-year old chihuahua mix. He weighs 15 lbs. Buddy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. He is almost house broken. We don't know about Buddy's history. He was found as a stray in Dayton, OH area. We rescued him from the shelter. Buddy is very skittish. He is timid to places where he is not familiar with and may show fear aggression. We are looking for a quiet home for him. The adopter needs to be patient with Buddy. Buddy is fine with everybody. He usually stays away from the crowd and very quiet. However he has food aggression. He always fears that someone would take away his food/treats. Hence a home with children is not suitable for him. Once he is comfortable with you, he would come to greet you and let you to pet him. Buddy's adoption fee is $250. Please submit the adoption application at https://charlieswishanimalrescue.org for scheduling a meet and greet.

Story
Hello, my name is Popcorn, but I prefer Poppy. I've only had 2 families, the first for 9.5 years and I was adopted out of the shelter as a puppy. I was returned the summer of 2025 due to a divorce. My new mom has had me since August of 2025. In that time I have been spoiled and given lots of love. Unfortunately, the 6 year old in the home is terrified of me, even though we basically ignore each other. I can sense that he is afraid and sometimes I bark at him because I am nervous.....then it just makes it worse. I would like to be in a home where no one is afraid of me because I am just a giant teddy bear. I probably need to lose some weight as there is a 2 year old in the home that actually loves me and shares her food with me.....I tend to like women more than men but I can eventually be okay with them, just need some time to warm up. I am potty trained but sometimes need some encouragement. I would love to find my forever, ever home asap.

Story
Meet Lily and Daizy. They both are female chihuahua mix. Both are 2-3 years old, weigh 10-11 lbs. They both are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. Both are not completely house trained. They use pee pads inside the house. Lily and Daizy are a bonded pair. They need to be adopted together. Lily is the black/white girl. Daizy is merle in black and tan. Both are timid and skittish. Lily is the boss of the pair. She may show fear aggression to strangers. But once she warms up, she is a sweet girl. Daizy is a shy girl but warm up quicker than Lily. She LOVES to give kisses. Both like to sleep with their foster mom under the blanket. Because of Lily's temperament, we think it is better for them to go to a home without kids. Both are food motivated. Both are friendly with dogs. We are not sure how they think about cats. LIly and Daizy's adoption fee is $500 Please submit an adoption application at http://charlieswishanimalrescue.org to schedule a meet and greet.

Story
Hi! My name is Mela and I'm a female beagle/chihuahua mix weighing in at 11 pounds. I'm around 9 years old, and I love to walk, smell the ground, and wag my tail. I love everyone I meet and if you're my person, I would love to snuggle next to you as much as you allow. Otherwise, give me a soft dog bed and I'm happy! My perfect person would be someone home a great deal and loves to have me snuggle next to you! I'm very curious and like to watch everything you do! I get along great with my doggy brothers and sisters and I think I'd get along with cats, if I ever meet one! However, I'd love to be your one and only and get all your attention! I have a few mobility issues, but they mainly keep me from jumping up on things or from just standing for long periods of time. I can handle steps well, can run, and jump down from a couch! My doctor found a mass on my spleen, so I had surgery to have it removed! It was benign, so I'm doing really well! I didn't have a very good dental plan at my last place, so I'm missing quite a few teeth, but I'm still able to eat dry kibble and treats, so all good! I can sleep very nicely in bed with you at night and I can be in my crate for short periods of time if you need to run an errand during the day. I'm making progress with my potty training as long as you are paying close attention to me! I take a medication for my skin itchiness called Apoquel and a medication for my back/hips called Meloxicam. All total, these are about $65/month, so I need to find someone able to provide these for me. I'd be so grateful to find someone to love me that I will love back a thousand fold. Is that YOU!? Please come and meet me!  Every PAWS dog is loved, vetted, and ready for a fresh start March 4, 2026, 10:20 pm
