Meet little Topper, our good natured 'senior' chihuhua. Topper weighs 12 lbs and is a good natured and confident nearly 9 year old boy. He shows no signs of aging except a few white hairs on his muzzle. Toy breeds typically have a longer life span and usually arent even considered senior until 10 yrs old.Topper is good on leash and is fine being picked up. He doesnt mind high rise living so would be ok in an apartment. He hasnt shown any reactivity to other dogs at the kennel. Cats are unknown. Topper is easily handled and would be great company. Shaila is an adorable 8 lb chihuahua with a face like a pug. She is only 6 months old.She's cuddly, loves to be with her person, pretty much obedient at such a young age, and making progress on house training. Shaila should be easy to train as she loves treats and playShe loves people of all types. Shaila is great with other dogs and has an enthusiastic play style She does love to cuddle with her canine foster sibling. She would much rather be with you than her crate but she will go into the crate, protesting and crying. The foster has noted that her protests are getting shorter, so she is adjusting. She may not be a good fit in a dwelling with shared walls. Shailas perfect home would be with someone who is home much of the time and loves to cuddle and play. Another dog in the home would be fine but should be brought to any meet n greet to ensure the feeling is mutual. This girl has tons of personality. Neva was adopted through Rico Pet Recovery about 2.5 years ago and is being returned to us because her owner has developed a significant medical issue and can no longer care for her. Neva loves to cuddle and play with toys and is good with kids who are a little bigger--we recommend five years old or more. She gets along with some dogs, but no cats for her! Neva is crate-trained and walks on a leash, although she sometimes feels she needs to protect herself or her owner from men and some dogs when she's leashed.
