Story
Fifi is a sweet chihuahua who requires a lot of patience and love. She showed up at our door as a puppy and we ended up keeping her for the last 5 years. She is anxious around new people but adapts quickly. We travel frequently for work and unable to provide the support she needs now with having lifestyle changes and increased work schedules. Fifi is low maintenance, travels well, great with kids and other dogs. You will frequently find her snuggled under a blanket, under the bed, or by her food bowl!

Story
Butch was so frightened when arriving to us, but who wouldnt have been. Picked up as a stray with his buddy, Billy. Taken to the shelter where he was minutes from losing his life. Then transported across the country with lots of other barking and frightened pups. It’s been a whirlwind of stressful events. But even so, Butch began to relax slightly after a few days and after a week he allowed us to touch him. It just takes a little time and patience. Billy warms up a lot faster, but with time these two will be a delightful addition to any family. We are looking for someone with the time and patience to bring the best out in this sweet boy who Wants so badly to trust and believe there is good that exists in this scary world. At not quite three weeks we are now receiving kisses from Butch. Both boys are vaccinated, neutered, flea and tick treated and microchipped. Please submit an application to meet these sweet little guys. Canaananimalsanctuary.org

Story
Billy is a very sweet but shy boy who barely escaped death with his buddy Butch. They were already in the euth room in a shelter in Texas, but fortunately we were able to pull them just in time. Billy and Butch were roaming the streets with a few other dogs when they were picked up by ACS. It has been a rough start to life for these two, but we are hoping they will find a wonderful family to show them that life can be good and not all humans are bad or scary. They are definitely bonded and must be kept together. Billy adjusted pretty quickly, but little Butch is frightened and less trusting and will take a little longer to warm up. Once he begins to trust and relax, you will see his loving and kind personality emerge. Please submit an application to meet these two special boys. Canaananimalsanctuary.org

I'm an old, sleepy guy who likes soft blankets, dog beds and laps. I don't do much, other than sleep and snuggle, but I do occasionally chase the cats. (The cats have no trouble outrunning me because, well, I'm old). I came from a hoarding situation and didn't get great care. I have bad teeth (which will be taken care of) and some hip problems/joint pain. I often won't eat unless my person sits with me. My foster mommy says I need just the right place for my golden years where someone has time to spoil me. Maybe someone who works from home or someone retired? Is that you?***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES. Please fill out an application on our website if you are interested in adopting this dog. Story
🐾 Little Andy is looking for the right person to give him forever family.Little Andy was found living as a stray. A homeless man was eventually able to get a piece of twine around his neck so he could be brought to safety. Based on his behavior, it’s likely Little Andy was not treated very kindly early in life.Because of that, he does not like to be picked up—but he absolutely loves being near his person. His favorite things are laying next to you while you watch TV and curling up nearby at bedtime.Little Andy enjoys the simple things in life:☀️ Laying in the sun🧸 Gathering his toys🪟 Watching the world go by from the window❤️ Getting very excited when his human comes homeHe can be a little bossy with other dogs, so he would need a very patient canine sibling or would also do well as the only dog soaking up all the attention.Little Andy will keep you safe from the Amazon drivers, happily jump in the car for rides, and enjoy short walks with his favorite person. His ideal home would be a quiet environment with someone looking for a loyal companion. Because it’s just too tempting to scoop up this adorable little guy, a home without children would be best.Little Andy may have had a rough start, but with the right person who understands him, he will be a devoted best friend for life. 🐾If you’d like to meet Little Andy, apply at ricopetrecovery.org.Adoption Fee is $200.

Story
Meet this adorable 4-year-old Chihuahua mix who is ready to find her perfect forever home! At about 13 pounds, she's the ideal little sidekick with a big personality. She's potty trained, does well with other dogs, and absolutely loves playing fetch— it's her favorite game! She’ll need to be leashed outside unless the yard is securely fenced. Like many Chihuahuas, she can be vocal and may bark when meeting new people, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her sweet, affectionate personality shines through. She'll do best with a family that understands small dogs and is willing to give her a little time to warm up. If you're looking for a loyal, playful companion with lots of love to give, this little girl could be the perfect match. Sky has a stuffed elephant that she loves and that she takes everywhere. The family adopting Sky will have to make room for her elephant too! Sky is spayed and will receive her second vaccines on 8/3. She will be ready to go to her forever home after that. Apply to meet Sky at ricopetrecovery.org. The adoption fee for Sky is $250.
