Story
For a chihuahua this little guy is a really nice dog. Had a small stubborn streak but overall loves everyone, listens, playful, cuddles, prefers a pee pad inside to going outside but is catching on to it. Typical little dog with big dog attitude. p>I am in a foster home so if you are interested in adoptiong me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process.  Due to the large number of inquiries we receive, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.  April 27, 2026, 12:41 pm

Story
Butch was so frightened when arriving to us, but who wouldnt have been. Picked up as a stray with his buddy, Billy. Taken to the shelter where he was minutes from losing his life. Then transported across the country with lots of other barking and frightened pups. It’s been a whirlwind of stressful events. But even so, Butch began to relax slightly after a few days and after a week he allowed us to touch him. It just takes a little time and patience. Billy warms up a lot faster, but with time these two will be a delightful addition to any family. We are looking for someone with the time and patience to bring the best out in this sweet boy who Wants so badly to trust and believe there is good that exists in this scary world. At not quite three weeks we are now receiving kisses from Butch. Both boys are vaccinated, neutered, flea and tick treated and microchipped. Please submit an application to meet these sweet little guys. Canaananimalsanctuary.org

Story
Billy is a very sweet but shy boy who barely escaped death with his buddy Butch. They were already in the euth room in a shelter in Texas, but fortunately we were able to pull them just in time. Billy and Butch were roaming the streets with a few other dogs when they were picked up by ACS. It has been a rough start to life for these two, but we are hoping they will find a wonderful family to show them that life can be good and not all humans are bad or scary. They are definitely bonded and must be kept together. Billy adjusted pretty quickly, but little Butch is frightened and less trusting and will take a little longer to warm up. Once he begins to trust and relax, you will see his loving and kind personality emerge. Please submit an application to meet these two special boys. Canaananimalsanctuary.org

No. Could use leash or tether to potty.• Need another dog in the home? No mandatory• Location: Kalamazoo, MI• Energy level (high/med/low)? LowHi! I’m Bandit. I'm an old, sleepy guy who likes soft blankets, dog beds and laps. I don't do much, other than sleep and snuggle, but I do occasionally chase the cats. (The cats have no trouble outrunning me because, well, I'm old). I came from a hoarding situation and didn't get great care. I have bad teeth (which will be taken care of) and some hip problems/joint pain. I often won't eat unless my person sits with me. My foster mommy says I need just the right place for my golden years where someone has time to spoil me. Maybe someone who works from home or someone retired? Is that you?***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES. Please fill out an application on our website if you are interested in adopting this dog. No, would prefer only-petLocation: Columbus, OHEnergy level (high/med/low): LowFANCY:Meet Sissy, a one-of-a-kind chihuahua with a personality as unique as her looks. To go with her all-white coat, striking blue eyes, and extra-long legs, she has a comically small head and hardly any neck to speak of. Let’s just say she is a sight to behold! But it's not just her looks that make her special. Sissy is a quirky little lady with a cat-like demeanor. She can hang out on the couch quietly and then suddenly sprint across the room for no apparent reason. And with her amusing "dance routine" with her kibble—playfully rolling over a few pieces and then pouncing as if they might escape—her antics are sure to keep you entertained and laughing.Sissy has had an uncertain past and is looking for her forever home. She is deaf and startles easily, so a relatively calm and predictable home environment would be ideal. She also has trouble seeing in dim light and has a slight fear of the dark, so she appreciates having a yard light turned on for her nighttime outings.Sissy is dog-selective and will do best as an only pet in a home with either no or older children. Sissy is happiest when she's sitting by her person’s side or exploring the outside on daily walks or in a fenced backyard, but she also enjoys her quiet time, being her quirky little self.Sissy is looking for an adopter who appreciates her unique personality and can provide the loving, stable home she deserves. If you're looking for an unusual but loyal friend who will keep you smiling, Sissy might just be the dog for you.If you are interested in adopting this dog, please review our adoption policies and apply online at [www.speakfortheunspoken.com/adopt](http://www.speakfortheunspoken.com/adopt).Visit [www.speakfortheunspoken.com](http://www.speakfortheunspoken.com/) will give you more information about our rescue. ***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES. Story
Betty and Bernie are a bonded, brother and sister. They are 8 years old and weigh less than 20 pounds. Betty and Bernie enjoy taking care of each other by washing each others faces. They are crate trained, and love sleeping in their crates as long as they can see each other. A sheet draped over both crates helps them block out nightly distractions. They love snuggling with humans and get along fine with cats. Betty and Bernie have adjusted really well to the other small dogs in their foster home. They still enjoy going out on walks. They are up to date on vaccines and ready to live their golden years together surrounded by the love they deserve. Betty and Bernie were the cherished companions of an elderly gentleman who had to go into memory care and could no longer care for them. The adoption fee for Betty and Bernie is $200 each.
