Story
Are you the type of person that likes to give sweet older pups a chance they might otherwise not get? Sweetie loves attention and will happily help you out by guarding the door of the bathroom from the inside. However, she can also be quite the independent little lady and doesn’t need to be a velcro dog… unless you want her to be! Sweetie can be a little bossy with her dog friends (part of why we think she’s mixed with chihuahua!) but generally gets along well with everyone. Sweetie is a beauty but would benefit from a little tough love when it comes to feeding and giving out treats and a little more activity in her day. A physically fenced yard is required. Sweetie is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio. Story
I adopted two Chihuahuas last year and one of them. I wasn’t planning on keeping because the breeder talked me into taking both of them sisters. Now that they’re a year old, I want to find her a home that she can really enjoy and be loved and cared for. She’s the sweetest, most loving dog you could ever ask for. I think it’s time for the sisters to be separated and I’m hoping to find the right person that can take care of her.

Working on pee pad training and utilizing a belly band.• Crate trained? No. I want to be with my people.• Good with other dogs? Yes• Good with cats? Likes to chase them but is correctable and can't run fast due to hip issues• Good with kids? Yes if respectful.• Commands known: Name• Needs fenced in yard? No. Could use leash or tether to potty.• Need another dog in the home? No mandatory• Location: Kalamazoo, MI• Energy level (high/med/low)? LowHi! I’m Bandit. I'm an old, sleepy guy who likes soft blankets, dog beds and laps. I don't do much, other than sleep and snuggle, but I do occasionally chase the cats. (The cats have no trouble outrunning me because, well, I'm old). I came from a hoarding situation and didn't get great care. I have bad teeth (which will be taken care of) and some hip problems/joint pain. I often won't eat unless my person sits with me. My foster mommy says I need just the right place for my golden years where someone has time to spoil me. Maybe someone who works from home or someone retired? Is that you?***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES. Please fill out an application on our website if you are interested in adopting this dog. No, would prefer only-petLocation: Columbus, OHEnergy level (high/med/low): LowFANCY:Meet Sissy, a one-of-a-kind chihuahua with a personality as unique as her looks. To go with her all-white coat, striking blue eyes, and extra-long legs, she has a comically small head and hardly any neck to speak of. Let’s just say she is a sight to behold! But it's not just her looks that make her special. Sissy is a quirky little lady with a cat-like demeanor. She can hang out on the couch quietly and then suddenly sprint across the room for no apparent reason. And with her amusing "dance routine" with her kibble—playfully rolling over a few pieces and then pouncing as if they might escape—her antics are sure to keep you entertained and laughing.Sissy has had an uncertain past and is looking for her forever home. She is deaf and startles easily, so a relatively calm and predictable home environment would be ideal. She also has trouble seeing in dim light and has a slight fear of the dark, so she appreciates having a yard light turned on for her nighttime outings.Sissy is dog-selective and will do best as an only pet in a home with either no or older children. Sissy is happiest when she's sitting by her person’s side or exploring the outside on daily walks or in a fenced backyard, but she also enjoys her quiet time, being her quirky little self.Sissy is looking for an adopter who appreciates her unique personality and can provide the loving, stable home she deserves. If you're looking for an unusual but loyal friend who will keep you smiling, Sissy might just be the dog for you.If you are interested in adopting this dog, please review our adoption policies and apply online at [www.speakfortheunspoken.com/adopt](http://www.speakfortheunspoken.com/adopt).Visit [www.speakfortheunspoken.com](http://www.speakfortheunspoken.com/) will give you more information about our rescue. ***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES. Story
Meet Buddy. Buddy is a 2-year old chihuahua mix. He weighs 15 lbs. Buddy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. He is almost house broken. We don't know about Buddy's history. He was found as a stray in Dayton, OH area. We rescued him from the shelter. Buddy is very skittish. He is timid to places where he is not familiar with and may show fear aggression. We are looking for a quiet home for him. The adopter needs to be patient with Buddy. Buddy is fine with everybody. He usually stays away from the crowd and very quiet. However he has food aggression. He always fears that someone would take away his food/treats. Hence a home with children is not suitable for him. Once he is comfortable with you, he would come to greet you and let you to pet him. Buddy's adoption fee is $250. Please submit the adoption application at https://charlieswishanimalrescue.org for scheduling a meet and greet.
