Junior came to DASH from a rural shelter in southern Ohio where he and several other dogs were taken from a horrible housing situation. Junior is currently in our DASH Prison Program where he is learning what love and comfort are. He is working on his basic commands and is said to be crate trained, housebroken and walks well on a leash. He is a sweet and loveable guy despite all that he has been through in his short life. He is energetic when out playing in the yard, but then is ready to relax and chill inside. He gets along with other dogs, but has not been kid or cat tested. Since coming into the rescue and being at her current foster, she has gained a lot of confidence and has really come out of her shell. She is still a little shy on meeting new people, but will warm up after a short while. She is crate trained, mostly potty trained and is still working on her leash manners, so she would do best with a fenced in yard where she can feel comfortable going outside on her terms to potty and explore. This beautiful girl is great with other dogs her size and the cats in her foster home. She has not been kid tested and due to her shyness, children under the age of 10 are not recommended. This lovely little girl came to DASH with her friend Mini Claus when they were abandoned in a burnt down drug house. Luckily some kind neighbors were feeding them, but it was no place for small girls to be. So they made their way to us where they will never know that kind of life again. Ellie is a very sweet, loving girl, who is pretty laid back. She enjoys napping in a big comfy dog bed, and watching all the other doggie antics in her current foster home. She is still a little shy upon meeting new people, but warms up quickly once she knows you are there to love her. She is working on her potty training, crate training and walking on a leash, so her new family will need to continue helping her on that journey. She loves other dogs, is fine around cats, but has not been kid tested. She would be great for a senior or family alike and is ready to find her forever home. No more, Miss Nora Jane is learning how to live life inside a home and is loving it! She is so sweet and loves meeting everyone, human or animal. She is great with the other dogs and cats in her foster home. She has not been kid tested. She is working on her crate training, potty training and leash manners in her foster home and is doing well with all three. She is a little chunky, but we think it just adds to her charm. She would love a fenced in area at her new home, just so she can go out to potty and not have to worry about being tied out. Her new family should also be prepared to continue to work on her training to make sure she will make the best companion she can. CeCe is a lovely little chihuahua mix that is good with just about everyone she meets. She does have a couple of non-negotiables in her new home. She absolutely cannot live with cats and she does not like young children. Older, respectful kids (8+) would be fine. She gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home as well. She will use pee pads inside, but really loves being outside. She is still working on her crate training and leash manners, so her new family will need to continue to work with her on those. She is afraid of thunderstorms, but is getting better. Due to her love of being outside and still working on her leash walking, we feel a fenced in yard/area would be the best fit for her. This little sweetheart is ready to steal someone's heart and fill your days with love! Jazz is all boy! This guy is currently in our Dash Prison Program working on his basic commands and brushing up on his doggie manners. He walks great on a leash and is ready for any adventure you may be ready to go on. His handler states he is the perfect sidekick for hanging out and is a very loyal boy. He is working on his crate training, and will sometimes bark when you leave, as he really just wants to go with you. He is also still working on his potty training and does best if kept on a schedule, so his new family will need to continue to help him with this and possibly use belly bands for awhile until he gets used to the schedule. He get along with other dogs his size. He has not been kid or cat tested, so proper introductions to both is recommended. He is ready to be part of your family or be someone's one and only.
