Junior came to DASH from a rural shelter in southern Ohio where he and several other dogs were taken from a horrible housing situation. Junior is currently in our DASH Prison Program where he is learning what love and comfort are. He is working on his basic commands and is said to be crate trained, housebroken and walks well on a leash. He is a sweet and loveable guy despite all that he has been through in his short life. He is energetic when out playing in the yard, but then is ready to relax and chill inside. He gets along with other dogs, but has not been kid or cat tested. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing Snowy! Snowy came to DASH with two other small dogs from a not so great situation. Since coming into the rescue and being at her current foster, she has gained a lot of confidence and has really come out of her shell. She is still a little shy on meeting new people, but will warm up after a short while. She is crate trained, mostly potty trained and is still working on her leash manners, so she would do best with a fenced in yard where she can feel comfortable going outside on her terms to potty and explore. This beautiful girl is great with other dogs her size and the cats in her foster home. She has not been kid tested and due to her shyness, children under the age of 10 are not recommended. This lovely little girl came to DASH with her friend Mini Claus when they were abandoned in a burnt down drug house. Luckily some kind neighbors were feeding them, but it was no place for small girls to be. So they made their way to us where they will never know that kind of life again. Ellie is a very sweet, loving girl, who is pretty laid back. She enjoys napping in a big comfy dog bed, and watching all the other doggie antics in her current foster home. She is still a little shy upon meeting new people, but warms up quickly once she knows you are there to love her. She is working on her potty training, crate training and walking on a leash, so her new family will need to continue helping her on that journey. She loves other dogs, is fine around cats, but has not been kid tested. She would be great for a senior or family alike and is ready to find her forever home. CeCe is a lovely little chihuahua mix that is good with just about everyone she meets. She does have a couple of non-negotiables in her new home. She absolutely cannot live with cats and she does not like young children. Older, respectful kids (8+) would be fine. She gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home as well. She will use pee pads inside, but really loves being outside. She is still working on her crate training and leash manners, so her new family will need to continue to work with her on those. She is afraid of thunderstorms, but is getting better. Due to her love of being outside and still working on her leash walking, we feel a fenced in yard/area would be the best fit for her. This little sweetheart is ready to steal someone's heart and fill your days with love! No more, Miss Nora Jane is learning how to live life inside a home and is loving it! She is so sweet and loves meeting everyone, human or animal. She is great with the other dogs and cats in her foster home. She has not been kid tested. She is working on her crate training, potty training and leash manners in her foster home and is doing well with all three. She is a little chunky, but we think it just adds to her charm. She would love a fenced in area at her new home, just so she can go out to potty and not have to worry about being tied out. Her new family should also be prepared to continue to work on her training to make sure she will make the best companion she can. Can you imagine that at just 2 years old? She has proven to be a total sweetheart and loves everyone she meets. She loves to cuddle with her foster mom and dad and also enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home. She is good with the resident cats as well. She has not been kid tested, but feel older respectful children would be fine. She is small, so young kids would not be the best fit for her. She is crate trained, housebroken and walks pretty well on a leash. She does enjoy going outside to explore the fenced in back yard, but that is not a requirement for her. She is ready to become someone's lifelong companion and friend and live her best life!
