Story
LINDEN is currently being fostered in TEXAS. Linden needs an experienced foster or adopter. He is apx 1-2 years young, 11.5 pounds. Linden came from a bad hoarding situation and needs help socializing and learning to dog. He is not aggressive but is a tad feralish, skittish and timid. He does let me pick him up, and he actually likes attention once you get him but I do still kind of have to baby talk him, coax him into a corner and then he kind of squats and lets me pick him up. He will not bite. He is actually a very sweet and gentle loving soul, he is young and will learn to be a part of the family very quickly. I know he has it in him to just be the best boy. He is great with other animals, no small children please, fenced yard preferred, but in time he will walk on leash and harness fine. Linden is very cute, funny and has a good demeanor but he is just a nervous nelly. He needs help gaining his confidence and some decompression time to feel safe and to learn to trust. He will be your best friend in no time. He is very cuddly once he gets to know you. He also sits funny sometimes and it is so adorable. Story
Piper is 5 to 8 month old 7 pound chi/rat terrier mix. ( the most timid of the group) Her and her sisters were rescued from the local shelter. They confiscated from a property with several animals all Chihuahuas or rat terriers between the sizes of 10 and 25 pounds. We are assuming these girls are going to be approximately 15 to 20 pounds fully grown. They are not used to living in a home with people and they were very shy when they first got here however, every day we see them blossom and grow and they’re very quickly starting to be happy wiggly puppies. These girls do not have a mean bone in their body. They are just a bit scared of all the newness of the world and new people however, they do love a lot and crave attention. They are extremely sweet and are going to be excellent dogs. They do need some basic puppy training, potty training, patience and love.

Story
Ginger appears to be a chiweenie but we do believe she may have a dash of Chinese crested in her, because of her ears, her spotting on her skin and the fact that her entire face is mostly naked except for this very light soft peach fuzz, and her sibling Olive has the same. Ginger is social, well mannered and goofy. Only about 10 months-1 year old and weighing 9. 5 pounds she is fully grown. A great age, past the puppy stage but still very young , active and playful however Olive also loves a good cuddle. She plays shy at first but it does not take her long at all to come out of her shell and show you her silly side. She seems to do great with all the other animals , great with kids, and really just has an overall awesome demeanor. Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. Story
Ellana. Apx 5 -6 years young and 12.5 pounds. She is a funny gal with some quirks , but is also very funny , lovable and silly . Ellana has her moments though and can be a tad on the bipolar side. She was rescued from ACS after being on the euthanasia list, before that being rescued from a hoarding situation in which the house caught fire and animal control confiscated the dogs that made it out alive. So this gal has been through it! She has an adorable waddle, a snaggle tooth, an interesting pomchi coat, and a personality to boot. She had a very large mammary mass removed that was cancerous. Ellana has a little bit of a “tick” sometimes we will call it bc we don’t actually know what it is and when she went to the vet she of course did not do it there. Once in a very great while she will do a funny thing with her mouth that looks like how a fish breaths out of water. She will do it once or twice and then not do it at all for days or weeks and then some days she may do it several times. She did it more when she first arrived so we are wondering if it is like a nervous thing 🤷‍♀️ of course I can also never get this on video so I’m sure my description does not do it justice, but this does not bother her. She hardly never does it and it appears to be just some sort of neurological a little tick. Ellana takes a minute to warm up to new people and she does bark at strangers and give them the side eye, however she is not a biter or an aggressive dog. That being said if Ellana felt really cornered or in danger , I would not completely put it past her to nip so we are definitely not going to put her in home with children. Ellana is VERY sweet and loving it just takes her a day or two to get used to new people and places . She did great at the vet, no issues. We can bathe her, do her nails etc. but if the handy man comes over or a stranger she will try and “protect you” and she puts her hackles up and barks and tries her best to act intimidating, but as soon as they get down and say hi and are there for a few minutes, she is fine and probably by lunch will be in their lap. Ellana gets along well with cats and dogs however she “moms” the dogs . She is a bit of the boss and alpha here but not in a way that she gets in fights and she never attacks dogs or anything but she is confident and a tad on the bossy side, she loves to play and has several friends here she is in a yard space with 9 other dogs . She loves to play with them but when she is done and ready for her nap she has no problem letting them know. She will also break up other dogs fights or if she thinks the other dogs are playing too rough she goes and “moms” them. She is the mama bear of the group for sure. She is a very good girl, she has been through a lot and she deserves to know what a real home, a real family is like. She is beautiful and so so soft. She also looks at you and pays attention to you like she is really listening to what you are saying lol. Ellana is a good catch, she just needs the right home. Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Please read bio carefully. Looking for an experienced adopter or foster. Joy is 21 pounds and 10 months old. We are assuming Chi/Pug mix of some sort. She is a short hefty gal. Joy has hydrocephalus. We are looking for a special needs adopter for her. Preferably someone whom has had hydro dogs before and are familiar with their needs. Joy was born hydrocephalic. Hers is pretty severe however , she is very loving, gets along with other dogs, is very quiet, never makes a peep, really likes attention and affection. She does not spin in circles or have seizures. She has no major neuro issues aside from the typical depth perception of neuro dogs. She even rides well in a car. Joy is a really great dog deserving of a wonderful home. She will bring a lot of joy and love to your home. As hydro dogs do. This week she is even learning the doggy door and using it 50% of the time to potty in her dog yard but like most hydro babies, she is a slow learner. She needs a lot of love and patience . We really prefer an adopter with special needs experience. Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. Story
JUNIPER is currently being fostered in TEXAS. Juniper is a shy gal til she gets to know you and then she is a little weirdo. She only shows her true self once she gets to know you and you have to be in her trust circle before you get to see her true self. Juniper is young, apx 2 years and 12 pounds. Great with other animals. She came from a terrible hoarding situation. Juniper is going to need a patient and loving adopter with lots of positive reinforcement and doting upon her. She is good with us and really shows us her silly side now that she is used to us, but she is also a scaredy cat at times. When we first got her, the first few times trying to pick her up she did do a little air warning nip, so at this time we are saying no children. She is NOT an aggressive dog, she just needs some time and an understanding adopter to help socialize her and get her to see that the world is not such a scary place. She truly blossoms every day. Please give her a chance. She is very skittish at first but given a little time she will be the sunshine of your day. Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given.
