FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOMES NEEDED!!
**Please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form**
We would love to welcome Bobby into the Fetch + Releash family on October 28th, 2024 (subject to change). As a foster-to-adopt family, you’ll be expected to take him home that same day. You will then have two weeks to get to know your new furry house guest before committing to adoption. At the end of two weeks, if you choose not to move forward with adoption, we simply ask that you continue to provide a safe and loving home until their new forever family can be found.
Each bio was created by our rescue partners based on their interactions with the dogs. Fetch + Releash has a full disclosure policy however we cannot guarantee a dog against parasites or diseases, nor can we guarantee a dog’s nature/behaviour. Many of these dogs are coming directly from the shelter and so you should expect there to be a transitional period. Be prepared to deal with common issues like potty training, leash walking, and socialization. Cat and kid safety assessments are often based on their personality and not necessarily on actual interactions.
Where possible, the majority of vetting will be completed prior to coming to Canada, however, foster-to-adopt families may be required to travel to our partner vet Mississauga, ON for further vet care.
During your foster-to-adopt trial, you’ll receive the support of a Fetch + Releash mentor to help you through the transition and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Foster-to-adopt families will be required to pay a $200 deposit on the adoption fee and sign our foster-to-adopt waiver in advance. If you choose not to adopt, your $200 will be refunded to you within 30 days of your dog being adopted into a new family provided you see your pup through to adoption. If you choose not to see your dog through to adoption, you will forfeit your deposit.
Foster-to-adopt families will be expected to provide their own supplies. Visit https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info for more info on mandatory supplies.

Bobby / Male / 2.5 years old / 15lbs / Chi Mix / Bat Dog / From Mexico
While we don't know anything about Bobby's history, we have it on good authority that he is the ideal bat-dog combo. He is perfectly portable, weighing in at a light 15lbs, and his ears make up 75% of his body weight.
Bobby is a playful and sweet guy who would thrive as a second pet. While he is excited for his new life in Canada, he will be sad to leave his bestie the pug.
Bobby is on the lower side of medium energy and will need two walks daily and some canine enrichment. His new family should be prepared to support him with basic training such as potty training, crate training, leash walking and general commands.
Bobby is an adaptable dude and could do well in a home with a yard, or an apartment, so long as he is getting sufficient socialization. Bobby was briefly tested with cats and was equally curious and terrified. While he has not been tested with kids, we believe he can live with respectful children who understand doggie etiquette. His new family should monitor all introductions to ensure safe interactions.
