Story
AGE: 15 YearsSEX: FemaleBREED: Chihuahua mixENERGY LEVEL: LowDOG FRIENDLY?: Yep!CAT FRIENDLY?: Yep!KID FRIENDLY?: Likely!Meet Rosy! This sweet senior chihuahua is a calm, confident little lady who enjoys the simple things in life. She loves heading out for short walks throughout the day, taking her time to explore and sniff at her own pace. After a bit of walking, she’s happy to relax and ride along in a stroller for some extra comfort. Back at home, Rosy is happiest resting in her cozy bed, spending much of her day snoozing peacefully. She enjoys being near her people and will let you know when she’d like to join you on the couch, though she’s more of a companion than a cuddler. She also loves all kinds of treats and will happily accept them with enthusiasm.Rosy is house trained, walks nicely and slowly on leash, and does well when left home alone. She will need someone home often, however, as she is experiencing some incontinence and may have an accident if home alone more than 4 hours. She’s friendly with people she meets, though she’s more easygoing than overly social. She has seen children on walks and isn’t bothered by them, and she has done well meeting other dogs - including larger ones. She’s also cat and dog friendly overall. While she lives comfortably in a busier environment and isn’t bothered by noise due to some hearing loss, she would likely feel most relaxed in a quieter home where she can enjoy a peaceful routine.Rosy will sometimes wag her tail and bark at dogs she sees, likely because she’s interested in saying hello. While she can coexist with other pets, she may prefer being the only one in the home, as she can get a little jealous when sharing attention—especially on the couch or during treat time. She’s a quiet, well - behaved companion who doesn’t get into things and is easy to have around the house.Rosy was diagnosed with a suspected heart condition several years ago and takes daily medication to help keep her comfortable. This should be reassessed with your veterinarian a few times a year to ensure her dosing continues to meet her needs. Because of this, along with some general arthritis, she has a lower tolerance for longer walks and may need to be carried or enjoy stroller rides for extended outings. She also has periodontal disease and is not a candidate for dental procedures due to her heart condition, so soft food is recommended, along with dental chews to help support her oral health. As a senior girl, Rosy is looking for a loving home that will cherish her and provide comfort in her golden years. While her exact timeline is uncertain, it may range from months to a few years. In return, Rosy will offer gentle companionship, quiet loyalty, and so much love!Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Rosy? Apply Now!https://newcollar.co/apply-to-adopt

Story
Tabby apx 10 months to 1 yr, 10.5 pounds and this gorgeous brindle color pattern. She is just a doll, so happy, loves life, loves people, very social and happy, great with other animals, kids and really is just a fun girl who still has some puppy energy in there but also loves a good snuggle. She does appear to get car sick so someone that does a ton of traveling and wants to bring their dog along may not be the best fit, some of this may be nerves though , and given some time and some fun things to do in the car like going to get ice cream or a pup cup she may learn to love the car and her car sickness may not be so bad in the future. If she is traveling for adoption, we will give her motion sickness medication to ease her symptoms. Story
Mati aka Matilda, is approximately 1 1/2 to 2 years old and weighs 12 pounds . She was rescued from our local animal shelter here in Pleasanton. Mati is an all-around amazing girl. She is super sweet. She is great with all other dogs and animals. She is wonderful with all people and well mannered children. She walks on a leash nicely, although sometimes is a little timid and new areas that she is unfamiliar with with loud noises. She bonds very quickly with her people and all around just has an amazing temperament. There is absolutely no negatives we can say about her, she is a pure gem. Story
Tulip 6-8 months 8 pounds. She is a funny girl. She acted all shy and demure and timid when she first arrived. 48 hours later she was a hurricane lol Still sweet and adorable, loving and cuddly but Tulip still has a lot of puppy in her and it’s so great to see. Once she settles in, she is spunky, playful and full of herself. Tulip came from a bad hoarding situation. She also came to us with a skin , ear and eye infection , but is healing nicely and will be ready for adoption after the 28th of April. She had such a terribly start to her little life, it is so wonderful to see her run, play, sleep hard, play with toys and be silly. She has a little chi spunk to her for sure and her light is truly shining now that she is safe . Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. Story
Tuesday is approximately three years old and weighs 7 pounds. She is a very gentle yet scared little soul. Please read her bio fully. Tuesday came to us from a very bad hoarding situation and was extremely feral when she first came to the rescue. She would not look at us and would put her head in the corner and just shake. The only time she would eat was at night time when nobody was in the room with her. She warmed up every single day and got better and better and started at least going outside and playing with other dogs. One of our amazing fosters took her in and has been working with Tuesday with great success. This is what her foster says : “ Tuesday update: -She jumped on my lap last night and let me pet her, no freezing, shaking or flinching. She barks and runs from Jose(husband), She took about 2 weeks to come around, has excellent eye contact. -Eats well around the other dogs -Plays with Demi and Hazel but does not like rough play and will growl, snap and show her teeth when they get too rough with her, and those two play rough at times. -potty training a work in progress -she needs a safe yard because she is looking for exits, also in the beginning nothing around where she can hide that is not easily accessible. Most importantly, Tuesday is learning that hands don't harm her and are safe, because when we reach out to her she cowers, flinches as if she expects to be hurt.
