SPARKLES is currently being fostered in TEXAS. ***Please note that we would prefer to have SPARKLES and YODA adopted together*** Sparkles is apx 8 years old and 12 pounds. She is very social, sweet, happy, good potty manners, walks on leash, not overly barky, great with other dogs, cats and well mannered kids. Sparkles was an owner surrender with her “sister” yoda. We are hoping to get them adopted together but truly just want them to get into a wonderful home and do what is best for them to live happily ever after. Sparkles is getting a dental on the 23rd. Story
Name: Boyd Age: 14 years Weight: 15 lbs Breed: Chihuahua Gender: Male Personality: Gentle, quiet, and wise Special Needs: Senior care, vision/hearing loss, needs guidance on stairs/furniture Location: London ON Meet Boyd – A Sweet Senior with So Much Love to Give Boyd is a gentle 14-year-old boy who’s been through a lot. After losing his beloved owner, he was left alone for several days before he and his packmates were found—now he’s waiting for his turn at a second chance. Boyd may be older, but his heart is full. He loves warm weather, easy strolls, and quiet naps by a cozy fireplace. Due to age-related vision and hearing decline, he needs a calm, child-free home with someone who’s patient and understanding. He’s prone to UTIs, so access to fresh water is essential. Potty training can be a challenge, but he tries his best and does well with gentle guidance and routine. He doesn’t bite, but if startled, he may try to run—then bump into things. He’s not fond of being picked up but will curl up next to someone he trusts. It may take time for Boyd to bond, but once he does, you’ll have a loyal companion by your side. Boyd is good with other pets, though he would thrive in a home where he can receive focused attention and care. He’s quiet by nature, only barking when it’s mealtime! If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet senior who just wants peace, warmth, and love, Boyd is ready to meet you. Story
Bonnie is also ready to come to Canada. Experienced adopters only. Bonnie is approximately five years old and 12 pounds. She is a Chiweenie. She needs an EXPERIENCED adopter. Bonnie is a sweet and quiet girl that is very scared and submissive but not at all feral. She is never aggressive, never bites or growls or runs away but she is lacking a lot of confidence. Bonnie cowers and is scared when you try to pick her up and hold her. She will squirm very hard to get down. But if you are sitting she comes to you, she army crawls to you, shakes and puts herself in a little ball next to you to pet her. I think Bonnie has been severely abused. Maybe even thrown and that is why she is uncomfortable being picked up. It is really sad because she wants love so badly but is afraid of giving it. She is tense a lot and scared and always has these big eyes afraid of the “whats next” Bonnie is aloof to the cats and although she is fine with other dogs, she does not really play with other dogs or lay next to them. She kind of just ignores them and does her own thing. Bonnie was found as a stray. We do not know what her life was like before she came here, but we do know that mentally she needs a lot of rehabilitation, kind words of affirmation, a gentle hand and a soft voice. She needs a routine and to feel secure and loved . I know there is a special someone out there to give her the security she needs. No small children please. She will need a secured yard. Story
Meet Saint – A Little Soul With a Big Heart Saint is a sweet, spirited little guy who’s about a year and a half old and weighs around 11 pounds. TXCR rescued him from their local shelter at blood test results told they were surprised to learn he was heartworm positive at such a young age. But Saint’s story took a turn for the better—he’s been fully treated, handled it like a champ, and never had a single complication. And his fostering in Canada has confirmed there has been zero coughing. Now, he’s making up for lost time with a full heart and a playful spirit. Saint is a joyful, loving pup who adores playing with other dogs and has plenty of puppy energy to share. But once playtime is over, his favorite place is curled up next to you on the couch, smothering you with kisses. (He’s a professional licker!) He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and is great with kids. He sometimes playfully chases cats and kittens, but it’s all in good fun—never with any harm. He’s a gentle soul through and through. Saint walks well on a leash, settles in quietly at night with his person, and is incredibly food-motivated and smart. He quickly picks up routines and will bond deeply with his forever family. He’s likely a Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix and carries the best personality traits of both—spunky, smart, and so very loyal. He’s still very puppy-like: curious, a bit nippy when excited, and working on finding his voice. He does well with stairs, wants to sleep cuddled up to a person all night, and will thrive in a home with another dog who can help show him the ropes. Saint can have a little separation anxiety and might cry when left alone, so a family who can offer patience, training, and love would be perfect. An apartment could work too—with the right attention and routine. He doesn’t need a fenced yard—he’s great on leash and loves walks. This little guy just wants to love and be loved. DISCLAIMER; I understand that the breed, health, age, nature, or temperament of the TXCR adopted dog is not guaranteed. I understand that said dog is a rescue that has come from the streets or shelters and often there is no history on this animal.

Story
Meet Uno! Uno is a sweet but nervous boy who is still learning to feel safe in his new environment and with people. Since he’s been in foster care, he's gone from being nervous and not wanting to be handled, to asking for pets and snuggling up beside his humans. While he's coming out of his shell more as the days go by, he will need a patient adopter who will give him the space and time he needs to come out of his shell. Despite how adorable he is, he prefers not to be handled too much, but will snuggle up beside you and loves a good neck scratch! Uno is currently living with two dogs and two cats, and while he isn’t a fan of playing with them (yet), he does enjoy lying beside them on the couch or curled up in a dog bed! A calm, confident dog sibling may help him adjust, but it’s not necessarily a requirement. He would do best in a quiet home without young kids (12+), as he needs people who will respect his space as he gains confidence. He can also be sensitive to touch and does not love his mouth touched, likely due to past dental issues. He loves to go outside for a walk, especially in the sunshine! He took a few weeks to be confident to go outside, but he will now wag his tail and run to the door if he thinks you're going for a walk! Uno has shown early signs of separation anxiety, so he’d thrive with someone who works from home and can help him build confidence in being alone. He is happy in his crate, but will bark while his humans are gone! He is mostly potty trained, but will need a patient adopter willing to work on improving this! Uno is looking for a patient and understanding adopter who will let him take things at his own pace and provide him with a safe and loving home. Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Uno? Apply Now! https://newcollar.co/apply-to-adopt
