Story
Meet Pinky, a petite Chihuahua mix with the most beautiful hazel-green eyes! Pinky is young at around 1–2 years old and weighs 12 lbs. She was transferred to us from another shelter. Pinky is very nervous in the shelter setting and needs time to warm up to new people. Once she gets past her fears and becomes comfortable with you, she turns into a sweetheart though. She really enjoys car rides! Pinky is very vocal, so she'll need to be in a home without shared walls. Because of Pinky's nervousness, she should be in an adult-only household. She's open to meeting other dogs, if you have them in the home, and can be cat-tested if requested. Pinky is a dog that needs time to come out of her shell, but once she welcomes you into her circle, you'll be rewarded with her affection. If you think you can provide the right home for Pinky, apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Introducing Midnight, the perfect mix of charm and cuddles! This 2-year-old, 13-pound Chihuahua/Manchester Terrier blend is as shiny as they come, with a sleek black coat and adorable dark brown points. Midnight's a social pup, getting along famously with other dogs. Cats give her a little pause, so a cat-free home would be best. Her favorite hobby? Snuggling, hands down. Whether it's on the couch or sharing the bed, she's all about that cozy life. Plus, she's got the basics down pat - crate, leash, and car rides are no sweat for her. She's a real velcro dog, sticking to her person like glue. If you're after a loyal lap warmer who'll never leave your side, Midnight's your girl! Oh, and did we mention she's used to using puppy pads and is learning to go outside? While she's still learning about toys, her absolute favorite thing is getting petted and showered with attention. If Midnight sounds like the girl for you, contact us today!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. May 27, 2024, 11:30 am

Story
Jessica is still looking for her forever home. She is a 3 year old spirited love of a dog. After being surrendered to PSPCA last year along with over 60 other chihuahuas, Jessica found herself being looked over time and time again. We know this is likely because she did have a seizure coming out of her spay surgery. We had a willing foster and took her in as soon as we knew she was still there waiting. Jessica did have a couple of seizures with us in the beginning and fortunately she was at work with her foster mom so the Neurologist was able to witness it first hand. She has been placed on seizure medications and is doing really well. A little more about Jessica - she is an absolute doll that gets along with dogs, cats and kids. She would love a yard to romp around in as she is a bundle of energy. She knows when it's nap time and will burrow right in for a snooze. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on annual vaccines. We know some will look at her and say "she is so cute but the seizures....." The reality is she takes these meds a couple times a day and there really is nothing to be afraid of. Could she have a break through seizure? Yes she sure can. Obviously we cannot predict it. Some dogs go on meds and never have a seizure again while other have breakthrough and may need adjustments in medications. Jessica deserves the chance at forever especially after the situation she came from. She has all the love in the world to give.
