If you would like to apply to take TILLY home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. Tilly and Tate are a sweet little pair. Tate is about 7-8 months old and Tilly is a little older maybe a year or so, she could possibly be his momma. Tilly is the sweetest girl you could meet and just wants to be with you, she would make a great companion she’s not high energy but she does like to run and explore the yard. Tate is a little more adventurous and enjoys playing with other dogs too. They would make a great pair if you’re looking for two, it would almost be a bit of a shame to split them up at this point as they have had quite the journey together. Separating them would be something that could discussed but it would need to be the right circumstances for both of them in both homes. Tilly is 7.4lbd and Tate is 6.5.

Story
Chihuahuas are some of the most beloved breeds in America today. Their small bodies and tender, loving souls bring the kind of affection that so many people are searching for. They don’t need much space or food, yet they give enormous companionship, loyalty, and joy. These little dogs want to be at the center of their person’s world, creating bonds that last a lifetime and leaving a legacy of love that endures even after they are gone.   Grant’s story is one of resilience and hope. He came from a home with too many dogs and not enough care, ending up in a tiny shelter in Tennessee, frightened and unsure of the world. Despite this uncertain past, Grant has a gentle heart and a sweet, affectionate nature that is shining through more every day.   Grant is a handsome 1-year-old, 15-pound Chihuahua with the most charming white sock “leggings” that make him truly stand out. He’s a tall little boy with a big heart, and though he can be a bit nervous at first, he is making remarkable progress in just two weeks with us. Like a child a little afraid of the dark, Grant simply needs patience, love, and gentle reassurance. Once he feels safe, he will gladly curl up in your lap, soak up attention, and shower you with affection.   He is good with other dogs, though sometimes a little bossy at first—likely a habit from his uncertain past—but he quickly backs down once he feels secure. Grant is mostly housebroken and does well in a home without a crate. He is a climber and clever little adventurer, so confining him isn’t the best idea. He thrives when allowed to move freely, and he won’t tear anything up.   Grant is a small dog with enormous potential to become a loving, devoted companion for the right person. He is ready to blossom in a home that will give him the patience and affection he deserves, one cozy, comforting day at a time.   To make Grant a part of your life, email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Please include your city and state.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 28, 2026, 11:47 am

Story
-Meet this charming 6-7 year-old, 9 pound, Chihuahua who has mastered the art of being the perfect companion! Don't let his age fool you—he still enjoys the occasional burst of zoomies and a little playful run around the yard. Most of the time, though, he's happiest relaxing by your side while you sip your morning coffee or settle in for a cozy night of TV.   This sweet boy walks nicely on a leash and sleeps comfortably in his crate at night. In fact, his crate is one of his favorite places—a cozy little retreat where he likes to relax during the day while you're busy working.   He warms up quickly to new people and is a friendly, affectionate companion. His favorite things in the world are gentle pets, scratchies, and plenty of kisses. He's also cat-friendly and generally prefers to ignore feline roommates rather than bother them.   If you're looking for a loyal, low-key best friend who will happily keep you company through life's quiet moments, this lovable Chihuahua may be your perfect match.   If you are interested, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  Let us know where you live as well.  We transport from Tennessee to the northeastern states as well as adopt to Tennessee and surrounding states.  He is a real treasure!

Story
Buttons is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish him as a family member. He is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want his transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!). Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Buttons can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life—in the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Buttons is never without a safety net; he will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until his perfect home is found. Meet Buttons! 🐾 Breed: Chihuahua Age: 1 Year Old Weight: 8 lbs Gender: Male (Neutered) If you are looking for a gentle, pint-sized companion to fill your home with quiet devotion, meet Buttons! True to his name, this sweet boy is as cute as a button and weighs a delicate 8 pounds. His Personality Buttons is a uniquely quiet and calm little guy who rarely barks. While he is currently staying with us at the rescue, the loud, chaotic environment of barking kennel mates is a bit too overwhelming for his sensitive soul. He is a gentle spirit who truly blossoms when things are peaceful. Ideal Home Buttons is looking for a quiet, low-key forever home where he can finally relax and let his true personality shine. Because loud noises and high energy can make him nervous, a calm household would be his absolute dream come true. He does well with other smaller dogs who match his gentle demeanor, making him a great potential companion for another little pup. Skills & Habits Crate Trained: Buttons is a champ in his crate! He settles down nicely and does well sleeping in his crate at night. Car Rides: Need a travel buddy? He rides quietly and safely when crated in the car. Housebreaking: He is still learning the ropes of housebreaking and will need a patient adopter willing to help him establish a good routine. He does go potty immediately when he is taken outside. Favorite Things: There is nothing Buttons loves more than burrowing into soft, warm blankets and playing with his toys. One Tiny Postscript from Buttons... 🤫 "So, full disclosure: sometimes my emotions get just a little too big for my 8-pound body. If I get super nervous or excited, I might leave you a tiny 'happy puddle' or a little sprinkle of stage fright. It's just my way of saying 'I'm trying my best here!' The good news? I am officially neutered now, so my rescue friends are very hopeful that this little nervous habit will start tapering off as I settle into a secure, predictable routine." Buttons is a sweet, tender-hearted young dog who just needs a quiet corner of the world to call his own. If you have a peaceful home, a patient heart, and a ready supply of paper towels for the occasional transition-period oopsie, Buttons is waiting to be your loyal little shadow! Video of Buttons: https://youtube.com/shorts/1E6tJj972D0?si=Smvkli35MHjxUHKE His adoption includes: Fully Vetted: Buttons is already neutered and up-to-date on all his essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). Prevention: He has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm negative and is on prevention. Safety First: To ensure he is in tip-top shape for his new family, he will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate—all performed within 10 days of his transport date. Adoption Details Buttons’ adoption fee is $1,200. This fee is all-inclusive, covering his neuter, all veterinary care listed above, and his seat on a professional transport service dedicated to getting him safely to your area. Story
This sweet little guy is Buddy and he is a happy go lucky 7-year,14-pound Chihuahua mix who has been with my a senior couple since he was a puppy. Due to his elderly mother's move to assisted living, this boy needs to be moved to a loving foster or forever home ASAP.   The family children have heavy personal responsibilities and illness they are dealing with and Buddy cannot join either of the homes of the daughters.  They feel backed in a corner to find him a place very soon and Critter Cavalry Rescue is dedicated to helping this innocent little happy guy find a place to share his joyful personality.   Buddy is incredibly loyal and loves being with his people. He has plenty of energy for playtime and would love a fenced yard where he can run and explore, but if you don't have a fenced yard, he also does well going for walks on a leash. He's also perfectly happy curling up beside you for a nap. He is up to date on all vaccinations and is happiest when he's spending time with the people he loves. Buddy could fit into many different types of homes. He may especially enjoy a quieter home with an older person or couple, but more than anything, he just wants a family who will love him, include him, and make him part of their lives. This is a heartbreaking decision for his mom, and the only goal is to find Buddy the safe, loving home he deserves. Buddy would do best in a home without cats as he thinks of them as a good game of chase.  While he can get along with other dogs, he tends to do best with a sweet, confident dog who won't be intimidated by his strong personality, as he can sometimes be a bit bossy with other dogs. We know there is a special person or family out there who will give him the love, companionship, and happy home he deserves.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in making this darling little guy your amazing sidekick for life.
