Story
*** ADELIA IS BEING FOSTERED IN LA FERIA, TEXAS *** Adelia is a stunning 14 lb terrier mix who came into rescue emaciated and had clearly been through a lot. She came to us dangerously underweight, and while she's doing beautifully now, she still eats like every meal might be her last. She is very food motivated. She has now fully embraced the good life and is thriving. She is active, playful, and deeply entertaining, the kind of dog that will have you smiling on a daily basis just by existing. Adelia is fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. Adelia tested positive for heartworms but has since finished treatment. One of her most charming quirks? Adelia has a very unique way of moving through the world. She hops, she trots, she loves to run and play with toys. This little girl will be happiest in a home that can keep up with her energy. She is also doing wonderfully with potty training and gets along great with other dogs. Now, Adelia is not a cuddle bug, but don't mistake independence for indifference. She will settle in right next to you and happily soak up a good face scratch. That's her love language, and it's pretty adorable. Adelia needs an active, patient adopter who appreciates a little dog with a big personality. She does well with adults and other dogs, though we don't yet know how she feels about cats or small children. She is quirky. She is beautiful. She cant wait to find her furever home! Her adoption fee is $350 in the state of Texas. Her adoption fee covers transport costs so no additional costs will be incurred by the adopter. Please review our adoption requirements before applying: https://www.anassafehavenrescue.org/adoption-requirements.html Adelia is being fostered in La Feria, TX. His adoption fee is $300. 🌟He was surrendered by a woman going through a divorce and moving into a hotel. His name comes from a Russian novel about an eccentric professor named Pnin, who lived full‑time in hotels — a fitting nod to his story.Pnin can be a little nervous at first, but he has never shown aggression. Once he feels safe, his sweet personality shines through. He gets along well with other dogs and is gentle, affectionate, and ready to bond with a loving family. 🥹💖What he needs most now is a calm, patient home where he can cuddle, relax, and finally live his best life. 🛋️✨Because we don’t observe our animals in home settings, we aren’t able to guarantee whether he is housebroken.Upon intake, every animal receives:Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochipAll age‑appropriate vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)Flea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam 7–10 days after adoptionAdopters must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility.Pnin is ready for his fresh chapter — a cozy, loving forever home where he can finally feel secure and adored. Story
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with this animal, please email us at info@animalhope.org or call 817‑984‑1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.Lenny is a 2½‑year‑old tan Chihuahua weighing about 10.8 pounds. He and his brother, Squiggy, were rescued off the streets of New Orleans. Their finder wanted to help them but was already at their pet limit, so the boys were transferred to us to find a safe, permanent home together.Like his brother, Lenny is in good health, just slightly underweight, and has been cleared by our veterinary team. He is shy and standoffish at first, and he needs time and reassurance before he begins to show his true personality. Once he feels secure, he becomes incredibly sweet — and he and Squiggy share funny, endearing little quirks that make them a joy to watch. The adoption fee for the bonded pair is $400.Because we don’t observe our animals in home settings, we aren’t able to guarantee whether he is housebroken.Upon intake, every animal receives:Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochipAll age‑appropriate vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)Flea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam 7–10 days after adoptionAdopters must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility. If you’d like to meet Lenny, we’d be happy to help. He’s a gentle, sensitive Chihuahua who thrives with patience — and he is happiest right by Squiggy’s side.
