Story
Meet Jojo, a lovable pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is affectionate, curious, and always ready to make you smile with his playful and sometimes goofy nature. Jojo is incredibly friendly and forms strong bonds with his people, making him a loyal companion who will happily stick by your side. He gets along great with other dogs and even cats, making him a wonderful addition to a multi-pet household. Jojo also loves children of all ages and would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. Jojo enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring and taking in the world around him. While he is not fully potty trained yet, he is doing well with crate training and is on the right track with consistency and patience. Jojo is looking for a patient and committed adopter who is willing to help him learn proper house training. With consistency, guidance, and a loving environment, he has all the potential to develop great habits and become a well-mannered companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, fun-loving dog to grow with your family, Jojo might just be the perfect fit! Jojo weighs 13 pounds, is up to date on all his vaccines and is neutered. Jojo tested positive for heartworms when he was first rescued however he has undergone treatment and is ready for adoption. We recommend Jojo be re-tested 6 months after treatment. Jojo is being fostered in WESLACO, TEXAS. His adoption fee of $500 will include his transportation cost to an approved adopter outside of Texas. Story
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with this animal or multiple animals, please email us at info@animalhope.org or call 817-984-1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.Ellie Mae is a precious 7‑year‑old Chihuahua/Terrier mix weighing 11.6 pounds, and she’s ready to find a loving home where she can feel safe and cherished again. This sweet girl came to a local animal control after her owner passed away. She arrived with another dog, but while family members reclaimed that one, Ellie Mae was sadly left behind. Despite all the change and loss she’s experienced, she has remained gentle, affectionate, and incredibly resilient. She has done wonderfully with the other dogs here at the facility and has shown nothing but kindness and calm companionship. Our veterinary team has given her a clean bill of health, and her adoption fee is $300.Because we don’t observe our animals in home settings, we aren’t able to guarantee whether they are housebroken.Upon intake, every animal receives:Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochipAll age-appropriate vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)Flea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam 7–10 days after adoptionPlease note that adopters must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility. If you have any questions or would like to set up a time to meet Ellie Mae, we’d be happy to help. She has so much love left to give, and she’s more than ready to share it with someone who will treasure her. 🐾✨

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with this animal or multiple animals, please email us at info@animalhope.org or call 817-984-1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.Brodie is still available and his adoption fee is $300 but we can be flexible. He is about a year old and weighs about 15LBS. He is shy with new people and will need time to warm up to them. He does well with other dogs around his size, though sometimes can be selective, and he loves outside playtime. We do not see these animals in home settings so we cannot guarantee if they are housebroken or not.On intake we: spay/neuter, microchip, update all vaccinations, a blood/fecal sample (if anything comes out positive we treat it), on a flea/tick and heartworm prevention and we give a free wellness exam 7-10 days from the day of adoption. You must live within an hour of our facility and be at least 21 or older in order to adopt.Do you have any questions? If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with this animal or multiple animals, please email us at info@animalhope.org or call 817-984-1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.Meet Dinny! The little long-legged guy who has completely stolen our hearts. He’s still looking for his perfect family, and while his adoption fee is $300, we’re absolutely open to being flexible — he’s currently our longest‑term resident, and we’d love nothing more than to see him finally go home.Dinny is about 2 years old and weighs around 15 pounds. He’s a staff favorite thanks to his goofy, lovable personality. Around here, he’s affectionately known as “Dennis the Menace” because he adores playing tag in the yard and keeping everyone on their toes. He’s full of energy, but it’s the joyful, happy‑to‑be-alive kind that makes you smile without even trying. While he has been a bit selective with other pets in the shelter, we truly believe he has the potential to live with other animals in a home environment. Shelters can be overstimulating, and with the right family and a calmer setting, Dinny could absolutely thrive. Please note that since we don’t observe them in home settings, we can’t guarantee whether they are housebroken.Upon intake, we:Spay/neuterMicrochipProvide all vaccinationsRun blood and fecal tests (and treat anything that comes back positive)Start flea/tick and heartworm preventionOffer a free wellness exam within 7–10 days of adoptionTo adopt, you must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility.Do you have any questions?
