Story
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with this animal or multiple animals, please email us at info@animalhope.org or call 817‑984‑1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.Dinny has been with us since November 2024, and in that time he has blossomed into one of the most loving little dogs we’ve ever known. At about 2 years old and 15 pounds, he may be small in size, but his heart is enormous — and he’s been waiting far too long for someone to notice just how special he is.When Dinny first arrived, he was unsure of the world. But months of care, patience, and friendship have transformed him. Today, he greets every person with joy, tail wagging and eyes shining. He has learned to trust deeply, and he now thrives on human companionship. Dinny also enjoys the company of other dogs, happily joining in play and showing his gentle, social side.Around here, he’s affectionately nicknamed “Dennis the Menace” — not because he’s troublesome, but because he’s delightfully goofy and loves to play tag in the yard. His energy is pure happiness, the kind that makes you laugh and reminds you how good it feels to be alive.Dinny is our longest‑term resident, and it breaks our hearts to see him overlooked. His adoption fee is $300, but we are flexible — what matters most is finding him the loving home he deserves. He’s ready to give his whole heart to someone who will finally give him a chance.Because we don’t observe our animals in home settings, we aren’t able to guarantee whether he is housebroken.Upon intake, every animal receives:Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochipAll age‑appropriate vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)Flea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam 7–10 days after adoptionAdopters must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility. If you’d like to meet Dinny, we’d be honored to introduce you. He’s a joyful, loyal little dog who has waited far too long — and he’s ready to bring love, laughter, and companionship to the family who finally says “yes.” 🐾✨

Story
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with this animal, please email us at info@animalhope.org or call 817‑984‑1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.Lenny is a 2½‑year‑old tan Chihuahua weighing about 10.8 pounds. He and his brother, Squiggy, were rescued off the streets of New Orleans. Their finder wanted to help them but was already at their pet limit, so the boys were transferred to us to find a safe, permanent home together.Like his brother, Lenny is in good health, just slightly underweight, and has been cleared by our veterinary team. He is shy and standoffish at first, and he needs time and reassurance before he begins to show his true personality. Once he feels secure, he becomes incredibly sweet — and he and Squiggy share funny, endearing little quirks that make them a joy to watch. The adoption fee for the bonded pair is $400.Because we don’t observe our animals in home settings, we aren’t able to guarantee whether he is housebroken.Upon intake, every animal receives:Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochipAll age‑appropriate vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)Flea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam 7–10 days after adoptionAdopters must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility. If you’d like to meet Lenny, we’d be happy to help. He’s a gentle, sensitive Chihuahua who thrives with patience — and he is happiest right by Squiggy’s side.
