🐾 Meet Cookie! 🐾 This tiny sweetheart is a 1-year-old female Chihuahua who is ready to find her forever home. Cookie is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped—all set to start her next chapter. Cookie is what we lovingly call a “velcro dog” 💕—she wants to be close to her person as much as possible. If you’re sitting down, she’s there. If you’re under a blanket, she’s definitely under it with you snuggling right in. She’s not much of a barker, but she is a chewer, so plenty of appropriate chew toys/chewies will help keep her happy and busy. She’s not currently interested in stuffed toys, though that may simply be new to her as she explores the world. Cookie is mostly potty trained, with only a couple of accidents as she adjusts to recent big life changes—very normal as she settles in. 🐶 She loves following the other dog in her foster home and would likely do best with a canine companion to help her feel confident and included. Cookie is sweet, affectionate, and ready to bond deeply with the right person who will let her be their little shadow. If you’re looking for a constant cuddle buddy who will happily be your warm little sidekick, Cookie might just be your girl. 💛

Story
Meet Timmy Turner! Timmy Turner is a 1-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix (at least that's our best guess!) wrapped up in a tiny 7-pound package of scruffy cuteness. With his adorable wiry coat, oversized Chihuahua ears, expressive little face, and curious personality, Timmy looks like he walked straight out of a storybook. This little guy may be small, but he has a big personality and an even bigger sense of adventure. One of Timmy's favorite things is finding the highest spot in the room. If there's a couch, he'll be on the back of it. If there's a lap, he'll happily claim it. If there's a shoulder available, even better. His foster jokes that he acts a little bit like a cat, and honestly, they're not wrong. Timmy loves observing the world from above and keeping an eye on everything that's going on around him. Watch Timmy in action here! https://youtu.be/-usd1j3AjKc?si=cRe_DTqd8PSsrJLF Timmy is currently learning that life can be pretty wonderful. While he may take a minute to assess new people and situations, he's a confident little explorer who likes to investigate the world at his own pace. He's not the type to immediately throw himself into every situation—instead, he likes to gather the facts first and then decide how he feels about things. We think that's pretty smart. In his foster home, Timmy enjoys being close to his people and is perfectly lap-sized for movie nights, work-from-home days, and cozy evenings on the couch. Once he's comfortable, he's a sweet companion who enjoys simply being near his favorite humans. Timmy has done well meeting dogs of all sizes, from fellow small scruffy pups to much larger dogs weighing 60–80 pounds. While he's not particularly interested in roughhousing or playgroups, he's polite, respectful, and knows how to coexist beautifully with other dogs. His ideal canine companion would be another calm, respectful dog who understands that personal space is important sometimes. Timmy also met a kitty friend and did very well. He was curious enough to investigate but respectful enough to move on when the cat wasn't interested. He free-roamed comfortably around the cat and mostly decided that the cat wasn't all that exciting. Because every home is different, we would still recommend a slow introduction and possibly an overnight trial for homes with resident cats, but Timmy showed all the signs we like to see. Timmy can live as an only dog or with other dogs. If he shares a home with canine friends, he should be fed separately since he prefers not to share meals. Fortunately, he's easy to manage and otherwise coexists well with other pets. His perfect home would be one that appreciates quirky little dogs, cozy couch snuggles, and a companion with a little bit of personality. He's the kind of dog who will make you laugh with his cat-like habits, charm you with his scruffy good looks, and keep you company wherever life takes you. If you're looking for a tiny best friend with adorable ears, a curious spirit, and enough character to fill a dog ten times his size, Timmy Turner might just be your perfect match. Story
Warning: Reading this bio may cause an uncontrollable urge to scoop up a tiny dog, cradle her like a baby, and spend the rest of the day telling her how pretty she is. Meet Zeena! At about one year old and just 20 pounds, Zeena is the perfect "take me everywhere" size. We think she's a Chihuahua/Spaniel mix (our best guess!), and whatever combination created this little masterpiece deserves a standing ovation. She has the sweetest chocolatey face with perfectly placed tan eyebrows that always make her look curious, soft floppy ears, warm caramel legs, and the cutest little white freckles sprinkled across her tiny paws. Those speckled feet are honestly impossible to get over. They look like someone dipped her little toes in paint just for fun. Add in her expressive puppy eyes and constantly wagging tail, and you've got one ridiculously adorable little lady. Watch Zeena's video here! https://youtu.be/8xdwDMJmzZQ?si=1OkiR6ujRml8tcmV Zeena has two speeds: professional cuddle bug and professional goofball. Her absolute favorite place to be is in your arms. She loves being held like a baby, stretched out on her back while you rub her belly, completely convinced that personal space is just a silly suggestion. If there's an open lap, she's already climbing into it. If you're sitting on the couch, she's planning on joining you. She simply wants to love her people as much as humanly possible. But don't let all those cuddles fool you—this girl knows how to have fun! Zeena is a toy enthusiast, and if you ask her, every day should include a game of fetch. Her beloved tennis ball goes everywhere with her. She'll happily chase it, bring it back, or even toss it into the air herself when nobody else is available to play. Watching her get the backyard zoomies with her favorite ball is guaranteed to make you smile. Zeena is growing up in a loving foster home where she's surrounded by kitty friends, including kittens, and she's been absolutely wonderful with them. She's gentle, respectful, and seems to think cats make perfectly acceptable companions. Whether they want to play or simply share the couch, Zeena is happy to be their friend. She's also the kind of dog that makes everyday life easy. Zeena is potty trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on leash around the neighborhood. She loves joining her people for walks just as much as she loves coming home afterward for a cuddle session. What makes Zeena so special isn't just that she's adorable—although she absolutely is—it's how naturally she fits into everyday life. She's playful without being overwhelming, affectionate without being demanding, and adaptable enough to thrive in so many different homes. Whether you're looking for a walking buddy, a couch companion, or a tiny shadow to follow you from room to room, Zeena checks every box. If you're searching for a little dog with freckled toes, a heart full of love, endless belly rub requests, and enough personality to keep you smiling every single day, Zeena is ready to become your new best friend. Fair warning, though—you may never get anything done again once she's curled up in your lap. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
If there was ever a puppy who could convince you that life is simply better when you're wearing a cute outfit, carrying around a toy, and ending the day snuggled up on the couch, it's Dolly Hazel. This little fashionista is almost always sporting an adorable outfit, proudly showing off her signature ears that stand straight up until she starts running, when they bounce and flop with every step. Between her sweet personality, love for cuddles, and undeniable cuteness, Dolly has mastered the art of stealing hearts without even trying. Watch her video and fall in love: At approximately 3 months old and currently 15 pounds, Dolly is our best guess at a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix, but with animal rescue, it's always a mystery! Whatever breeds came together to create this adorable little girl, they gave her the cutest ears, an affectionate personality, and just the right amount of playful puppy energy. Dolly has fully embraced everything there is to love about being a puppy. She bounces from toy to toy with endless enthusiasm, happily entertaining herself before inviting everyone else to join in the fun. Whether she's carrying around her favorite toy, exploring the backyard, or making up her own little games, she's always finding a way to keep herself entertained. She's friendly, social, and loves being part of whatever is going on around her. As much as Dolly loves to play, her foster will tell you her favorite thing about her is how incredibly cuddly she is. Once she's gotten all those puppy wiggles out, she's more than happy to curl up beside you while you watch TV, snuggle into your lap, or simply be as close to her people as possible. She's the kind of puppy who makes it very easy to lose track of time because once she settles in for cuddles, you'll never want to move. Dolly is growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, children, and people of all ages, giving her an incredible start to life. She's learning how to interact with everyone around her and is developing into a confident, well-socialized puppy who's excited to make new friends wherever she goes. Like any young puppy, Dolly is still learning all about the world around her. She's doing well with crate training and settles nicely in her kennel when it's time. Potty training is also coming along well, though she's still practicing and will need a family committed to continuing her routine with patience, consistency, and lots of encouragement. Treats and toys are definitely the way to Dolly's heart. She's always excited when it's time to play, and she's more than happy to accept a tasty reward along the way. Between her eagerness to interact with her people and her playful personality, we think she'll be a fun puppy to continue training as she grows. Like all puppies, Dolly will need a family committed to continuing her training, socialization, and helping her learn all the important puppy life skills. The time you invest in her now will help shape her into the incredible adult dog she's already well on her way to becoming. If you're looking for a puppy who's equal parts cuddle bug, playful sidekick, and tiny fashion icon, Dolly Hazel Toy Story is ready to fill your home with laughter, puppy kisses, adorable outfits, and enough snuggles to last a lifetime. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a20796127a1aa1ef808bae5 Questions?
