Story
Adorable little Daisy is just a bit over 18mo and she weighs 12lbs. She is a very sweet girl that can be a little shy when first meeting new people. She is very food motivated so with just a treat or two she quickly opens up to become your best friend. She loves to go on walks and explore, so this is another great, bonding exercise. Daisy enjoys running and playing with dogs her own size so another dog in the home would be ideal, but it’s not required. She must at least have periodic play dates. She is a quiet girl that is fully house trained and crate trained so she can be left home alone for a reasonable amount of hours. She has not been socialized with toddlers and they make her a little nervous so kids must be over 12yrs old. A fenced yard would be best.

Story
Hola from Señor Peanut! This little ball of energy was abandoned on the side of the road in rural Missouri where we rescued him during our move to Washington! This little guy loves everyone he meets and just wants to sit with you while you both watch TV. He is a little anxious from his previous life but over the last year has shown to be a loving and sweet boy! He needs a home that is willing to take the time to make sure he is able to go outside often to maintain his potty training. (He is potty trained but this was a major accomplishment from when we first rescued him) The only reason we are rehoming him is that we knew we were just a foster home for him to recover in until he found his forever family!

Story
Hi! My name is Mona and I am available for adoption. My sibling and I were brought in by an Animal Control Officer on 11/28/23.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.I am a puppy!! I will need to find a home where someone is available for me in these early days. It is important to be consistent with me and socialize me so I can have the best companionship with people and other animals. Puppies require patience because everything is brand new so I will need some TLC while I learn. I am not potty trained or crate training yet and teaching me those skills will help tremendously on a road to success! If you and your family are ready to fall in love my awesome self, please check me out!!My personality color is GREEN. I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home!

Story

Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay via Zelle, PayPal, or cash. Poor innocent, sweet & forgotten about Gapy, was ready to be euthanized in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. He had zero public interest & zero rescue interest on social media. An email went out for help & this beautiful boy was on that list. Yes, it appears at the age of 3 he was going to die which is absolutely unacceptable. We rescued this beautiful boy & 2 other sweet baby dolls out of that same kill shelter from that very same kill list all at once. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Gapy who is now looking for his very own forever home who will never give up on him again & love him just as his foster mum & we do. After we got Gapy all his care with his amazing foster mum he will be bought back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find his loving forever home. We truly believe that Gapy was originally someone’s dog & they just did not want him anymore from his mannerisms & his behavior of knowing certain things. All this boy wants is to be loved & have a home to call his own. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. When we got him out of the shelter his nails were so extremely long & his nails were clipped by our vets but will need to be & regularly dremeled to get them to a good place. Gapy at times can have a big personality & knows what he wants. He isn’t the biggest cuddler but enjoys being patted & being loved. He is a independent little man. That being said, Gapy is a good eater, he loves to eat & he is making up for lost time & put on weight instantly in his foster home. Gapy’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard. He also enjoys sunning himself in the backyard & also sitting on the couch & looking out the window, he really enjoys taking in the sites. But he will also do his own thing. Gapy has been great with his baths because he started having them with us the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. Gapy rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & still needs continued work walking on his harness & leash. But has done amazing in his foster home. We are looking for a forever home for Gapy where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them & there must be another dog in the home for him to thrive. Gapy loves other dogs & needs another dog in the home to play with. This is mandatory for his new home. This boy enjoys going into a crate sometimes so that tells us that someone used to call him to go into a crate. In his foster home he sleeps in the bed with his foster mum or will sleep on the dog bed. Gapy is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Gapy has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. It’s mandatory for him to be in a home with a playful dog. Gapy is roughly just over 3 years old & 21 lbs & is perhaps a dachshund & chihuahua mix, (chiweenie), male. He had a dental & polish & we got him neutered. Gapy is, microchipped, heart worm negative, given flea treatment, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Gapy, with all of his medical care getting him well thank his adoption fee comes close to covering with, neuter, paying his shelter fee to get him out of the shelter, shots, flea meds, dewormer, boarding, dental scale & polish etc. Gapy has been around cats since being in the rescue & did well with the cat in his foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. Just because he got along fine with the cat in the foster home doesn’t mean he will get along with all cats. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Gapy was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Gapy’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Gapy potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Gapy has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Gapy & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Gapy who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little chap. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Gapy has an adoption fee of $895 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Story
Meet June Bug, the pint-sized bundle of joy you've been waiting for! She’s the perfect little companion to keep you company and she’s here for all the love and attention she can get! After some initial shyness, this tiny gal melts into pure adoration when meeting a new person. She will bestow her love upon anyone willing to offer a belly rub or two! And she’ll ask in all manner of creative ways for a belly scratch!  Juney's got her own style of mingling. While she's not a fan of playing with other dogs, she does enjoy the company of a super-relaxed furry pal who knows how to respect her personal bubble. She’s not much of a player with other dogs and seems to prefer being on her own.  She does, however, cherish playing with stuffed toys! June would be happiest in a home without young kids.  June Bug does great on a leash and doesn't pull. She loves to explore new places and get her sniff on! When walking with a canine friend, she is more engaged in the walk, but when walking alone, she will walk for about 5 minutes before she acts like she’s too tired to go on. She might love having her own personal chariot! Diva! With a heart of gold and a dash of sass, this petite package of joy will fill your days with laughter, cuddles, and moments that warm your heart. We estimate June Bug is about 6-7 years old and weighs a whopping 12lbs! She appears to be a Chihuahua/Pug mix and she loves the life of luxury and laps! Her adoption fee is $425, and she is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  If interested in adopting June Bug, please fill out an adoption application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application ##1705700##
