Story
Limoncito was found as a stray in Guadalajara with several lemons tied around his neck. In Mexico, this is sometimes done because of the belief that lemons can help ward off bad energy or spirits. Whatever had happened before he was found, Limoncito clearly had not been cared for in quite some time. He was very dirty, a little too thin, and covered in fleas. That is no longer his life. Today, Limoncito is healthy, happy, and busy making friends at his hotel while we work on the most important part: finding his people. He is estimated to be about 3½ years old, fairly small, and simply beautiful. And after everything he has already left behind, we think the Pacific Northwest could be exactly where his next chapter begins. Limoncito is looking for someone who will make him their sidekick—someone who will take him along for the good stuff, give him the life he should have had all along, and love him without limits. He has already gone from lemons around his neck to a life full of possibility. Now we just need to find the person who sees him and says, “You’re coming with me.”

Bug’s temporary family reached out to us because their senior dog simply isn’t happy having another dog around. And honestly, we get it. Some seniors become a little less tolerant as they get older, and this situation isn’t fair to Bug either. Bug is the sweetest, friendliest little girl. She deserves to play, run around, enjoy herself, soak up attention, and move forward into a life where she can simply be happy. So we are going to help her find that. Bug is about 2 years old, a Chihuahua mix, and weighs around 17 lbs. She could probably stand to lose a couple of pounds, but a new routine, regular activity, and supervised meals should take care of that. Right now, we are looking for an immediate foster who can give Bug a safe place to land while we search for her people. And if you are looking at her thinking, this might be my girl — don’t wait. Jackie Chi is a 7 year old "Jack Chi" (born 2019)], Jack Russell Terrier and Chihuahua mix. When her hair is cut short, she looks more like a Chihuahua; when her hair grows out, she gets the terrier snout hair and wavy longish body hair, and looks like a Jack Russell Terrier! We adopted her through a dog rescue, coming all the way from Guadalajara, Mexico (They called her, "Cherry"; but since she was a Jack Chi and female, we named her Jackie Chi which she immediately responded to). She has no health problems (like most Chihuahuas, her teeth need care). She's a very loving, quick-to-warm-up-to-people friendly dog. Being passive and reserved, she never shows aggression (only if threatened by another dog). She loves being with our Grandchildren and Great Grandchild. While she is content indoors, she loves the outdoors; part of why we want to re-home her, since we are aging and in an elderly apartment complex. She loves walks and a yard would be important to her.
