Story
Luna is a 2-year-old spayed Chihuahua with a shy and sensitive soul. She would do best in a calm, cat-free home with older, gentle children, where she can feel safe and build confidence at her own pace. Luna is very nervous at first, so patience, love, and gentle guidance are key to helping her settle in. Once she feels comfortable, she reveals her sweet, loyal, and affectionate side. She’s looking for a quiet, understanding home to call her own. 💛

Meet Alvin Name: Alvin Age: 1 year 6 months Gender: Male Weight: 3 kgs / 6.6 lbs Breed: Chihuahua Mix Health: Neutered Vaccinated Heartworm Negative Good with dogs? Yes Good with kids? Yes Good with cats? Has not been around cats Leash trained? Yes, Alvin walks well on leash and enjoys his outdoor adventures Potty trained? Yes Crate trained? Not yet, but he is adaptable and eager to learn with guidance When alone: Shares space comfortably with other foster dogs Sleeping arrangement: Cozy dog bed alongside his foster siblings Alvin’s Personality Alvin is a small, sweet, and easy-going boy with a gentle heart and a loving soul. He is social with both people and other dogs, and his calm, friendly nature makes him a wonderful companion for families or individuals alike. He does great with children and, although he hasn’t lived with cats yet, his relaxed temperament suggests he could do well with a slow and proper introduction.Alvin enjoys playtime but is just as happy curling up beside you, soaking in affection. He loves being petted, bonds deeply with his people, and fits seamlessly into everyday life. He’s the kind of dog who brings quiet joy—affectionate, content, and always happy to be near his humans. Alvin’s Ideal Home Alvin would thrive in a calm, loving home where he is treated as a true family member and included in daily life. He values companionship, gentle routines, and affection above all else. His ideal home includes: • A family or individual who enjoys a loyal sidekick for both quiet moments and light play • Respectful children who will be kind and gentle with him • Friendly dogs (optional but welcome!) • A household that offers consistency, affection, and stability • A peaceful environment where he can feel safe and loved Above all, Alvin is searching for a forever home where his sweet nature is cherished and where love is shared freely. Alvin’s Rescue Story Alvin was found wandering the streets of Guadalajara for several days—alone, confused, and vulnerable—until a kind rescuer was finally able to earn his trust and bring him to safety. Despite his circumstances, Alvin remained calm and gentle, and it quickly became clear that he had once belonged to a family—he was already neutered, a quiet sign that someone had cared for him before. Sadly, like so many dogs in Mexico, Alvin appears to have been abandoned just before Christmas, left behind during a time meant for warmth and family. Yet even after this heartbreak, he never lost his trusting and loving nature. Once rescued, Alvin adapted beautifully, showing just how easy-going and affectionate he truly is. Today, he is safe, cared for, and ready to begin a bright new chapter with a family who will never leave him behind again. Location: Currently in MexicoTravel: Alvin will travel once a committed 10-day trial is secured Adoption Fee: $600 Interested in adopting Alvin? Apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org Alvin is ready to give his whole heart—he’s just waiting for someone to say yes   ##2636714##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Paris is a pretty, younger girl who's ready for a home to call her own.  She came to us with her brother and 2 nieces from a family who lived in an apartment.  They never had them outside so were potty pad trained and are not leash trained.  We've been working on getting them outside to potty but do leave pads in their xpen for accidents.  Her new family must have a securely fenced yard and be willing to continue to work on her potty training outside and walking on leash.   Paris was the 1 of the 4 that was slowest to warm up in their new environment.  Once she did, she's been a total delight like the others.  She's good with other dogs, we don't know about cats and she did live with kids but we don't know their ages.  So because of her initial hesitation in a new place, we are saying no younger kids in her new home.  Whomever will give her the initial chance and some grace, will be rewarded with a very loving, faithful companion!   Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 6, 2026, 4:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Nanette is a darling little girl who's all ready for a permanent loving family!  She's chihuahua, pug and shihtzu mixed.  She came to us from a family along with her sister, Daddy and Aunt.  They lived in an apartment and had never been outside.  Therefore they used potty pads and have no concept of leash walking.  So her family must have a securely fenced yard and should be willing to continue leash work with her. She's doing well going outside but we still leave potty pads in her xpen for use.   She is lovable and affectionate. She's still not thrilled with the grooming aspect so her new family needs to be good with continuing this also with bathing & brushing whether at home or at a professional groomer so her coat will stay beautiful for life.   She's good with other dogs, we don't know about cats and there were kids in her original home but we don't know ages.  Older, respectful kids would be best.   Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 6, 2026, 4:49 pm
