Story
Chip & Echo are sweet, energetic small dogs. (They come as a pair.) They are also very bashful. They need a home without children. They do best with women but will warm up to men after a little more time. They get nervous and skittish around kids and new people. We have not had any issues with the dogs getting aggressive with our kids, but they usually run off when kids come near. Once they warm up to you, they love to get attention and give kisses. They are sweet dogs, house trained and well behaved. They love to chase chipmunks and squirrels. They will bark at the squirrels and other dogs, not excessively, but will also come back in quickly when I call. They love spending time outside laying in the sun and chasing each other around. They are healthy & caught up on all their shots (Seen by the vet in July). Please call or text for more information.

Story
Mandy is a very special girl - super playful and obsessed with tennis balls. She is slow to trust but then is very loyal. Food and toy possessive but otherwise loves most of her doggy foster siblings. She is good with kids who give her space - loves belly rubs and affection on her terms to start. Loves free roaming in a fenced yard as she’s still working through some trauma with a leash. She’s a sweet girl who needs a patient owner to let her playful, affectionate side shine through! Likes having a crate to snuggle up in and feel safe

Story
Rooney is an independent and very low maintenance kinda gal! She is pretty timid at first and likes to get a “lay of the land” before she sets up camp on your lap. She’ll let you pick her up, but until she’s comfortable, it’s definitely not her favorite. But you wanna know what IS her favorite? Just lounging outside in the sun. Clearly, she may need to wait a while until she can do that in Wisconsin at this point! She knows the sit command and recognizes her name. Rooney rarely barks and would do great with apartment living. She is housetrained but will have accidents until she adjusts to her new family schedule. Rooney is crate trained, so you could work that into training her to be on your schedule. She would do wonderful in a home seeking a low-maintenance, quiet, adorable little girl! **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states. Adoption fee is $350 unless otherwise noted above. Puppies under 1 year of age accept application for families with children over 6 years of age for large breeds and over 8 years of age for small breeds. Story
Meet Tabitha! Tabitha is a young adult gal from the streets of Houston. (See the video from her TX rescue above!) She is a sweet, playful girl who really wants a forever home. She can be shy at first, like all dogs, but once I settle in, she would love to curl up with her humans and do a little happy dance when they come home! Tabitha REALLY loves being with other dogs. She will follow her foster dog brothers, play, run in the yard and snuggle with them. She also LOVES toys of all kinds and taking them outside. She's eager to please but can a little mischievous by stealing a hat, or shoe or laundry occasionally to play with. 🙂 Tabitha is a medium-energy dog and can keep herself occupied while also enjoying the company of others. If you have a quiet household with another dog to play with and a fenced in yard, Tabitha is your gal! **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a home visit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Story
Dini was rescued in December of 2022 right before the big freeze in Texas. She is about 6 years old and 9 lbs. She was a stray for months and no one could catch her from the community pool area she was living in. Dini took about a week to warm up to her foster mom but after that week, she was READY to be besties. Ever since then, Dini has adjusted to new women very quickly - she will greet them within minutes of their arrival and let them pet her while her tail is wagging. Men, on the other hand, are not Dini's favorite. She warmed up to her foster dad enough to share the bed and living spaces, but prefers not to be snuggled or pet by them. Dini also does not favor cats and will bark at them for long periods of time. Dini is AMAZING with other dogs sharing humans, space, food and water. She is not possessive of her space or belongings with other dogs. Dini's perfect home is a house without men or a VERY patient understanding man. She is an amazing bed sleeper and anyone wanting that will ADORE her ability to snuggle right up for bed time. Dini is so loving and easy to care for. Dini is incredible in the crate and does ok on a leash. **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com. Frankie (14 mos and 7 lb) and Snoop (6 yrs old and 10 lb) are two bonded pair male Chiweenies/Chi mixes. They are semi energetic guys that love hanging in house with humans and other dogs their size. They love dog beds, doggie blankets, dog harnesses and sweaters. They are great companions for retirees with a securely fenced yard. Chi experience is recommended. They are indoor dogs. They are friends with Nemo that also needs a home. L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Please contact us to ask about our adoption process and our adoption fees.
