Story
Meet Herman! Hello there, my name is Herman, but it should probably be Hermes because I wouldn't be surprised if someone adopts me SO FAST! As a cute senior chi, that weighs just 7 pounds, I can't imagine anyone would be able to pass me by. I mean, I get along with other dogs, though I'd rather spend my time with the smaller doggo friends. Oh, and I'm a real good snuggler of my humans. Even the smaller kiddos who are respectful of my size and treat me kind! What more could you want? I'm pretty good about going potty outside too! Though, I haven't met any cats. I suppose that might be a downfall for some, but I'm not too worried about it. If needed, I could be tested with them for the right people. I recently received a much needed dental, and I have ten, count them, ten teeth left! This doesn't slow me down at mealtimes though! I've had a rough couple of weeks before making it to the safety of Albert's Dog Lounge, so I'm struggling a little with separation anxiety. However, I'm showing excellent improvement day-by-day as I get more comfortable in my new environment. When I settle into your home, it will feel like I've always been a part of your family. You will wonder how you ever came home without being greeted at the door by my little hops and dances of excitement. I wouldn't be disappointed if you are home more often than not though. I'd make a perfect lap dog for a retired person, or I could keep your feet warm while you work from home. Do you have room for a handsome toot like me in your home? I promise I'll always keep you smiling! Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair). Story
Meet Buddy! Hey, y'all, my name is Buddy, and that is just what I want to be, YOUR BUDDY! I am a golden oldie now, and that just means I'm so old that my heart is made of pure gold, and I'm so ready to love my forever humans! At just 16 pounds, it's a good thing I don't mind to be carried. Or picked up. Or held, like I should be. I really enjoy being close to my humans, even the tiny humans, if they are nice to me! I also get along with other dogs, but I have never met any cats that my foster mom knows of. Oh, I'm a good boy and do my pottying outside, if I'm on a good schedule. Since I'm an older gentleman, that comes with some meds for arthritis and my ticker. My joints get a little stiff, so I don't do stairs so well anymore. I don't see or hear too well anymore, or maybe it's just selective hearing. I just really need me someone to love and snuggle with, but will also let me explore and follow them around. I'd really love for my forever humans to be home more often than not, but I understand if you need to leave once in a while too. I'm the most loving little guy and I deserve someone who will love me right back and be committed to making sure I get the care I deserve! Do you have room for a tiny dog bed in your house that I might be able to lay on? Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Story
Meet Bert! Hey, y'all, my name is Bert, and I come to you from the great state of Georgia! Go DAWGS! I'm an adult and everything, but I could still be converted into a Badger fan. I hear their fans are really good boys, just like me. I go potty outside, I get along well with other dogs, and I like people! I'm not sure if I like cats or kids, but my foster mom says she thinks I would do just fine with everyone as long as they promise to me nice to me, especially since I'm not a very big boy, I only weigh about 10 pounds. Also, kiddos need to understand that I can't see them coming, so they might need to talk to me so I know what's going on. I love getting my belly rubbed, even if it is just a small belly. Oh, I also really love me some American cheese slices! I hear that wrapper, and I come running. Oh, who am I kidding, I love all the treats! Another thing that I kind of dig is going for a walk in a doggie stroller. Foster mom recently took me, and I did great. I never even knew they made a stroller for us canines! I enjoy saying hi to new people, and my little tail is so happy and wags so fast. At the end of the day, I will put myself to bed early, in my favorite dog bed, and happily sleep through the night. Now foster mom says it's time for me to find my forever family that will love everything about me and take care of me really good! I'm excited to see who my new people will be, and maybe we can't watch a little football together. Are you ready for game day with a new little belly to rub? Story
Meet Peanut! Hello humans, my name is Peanut, and I have come here to be your best bud, and your everything! I'm a senior guy, weighing just 9 pounds, looking for his forever home, and I hope that I'm everything you've been looking for. Let me tell you just a few quick things about me so you know if I'm the love of your life, because I know I'd fit right in in just about any home! I do great with cats, and I prefer dogs who don't have a ton of energy and won't be in my face all the time. I could live with the small humans, as long as they are gentle and kind to me. I'm house trained, and almost always use a pee pad. I also do well in a crate if you need to put me in one as well! Let be real, though. I would go everywhere with you if I could! My most favorite thing in the whole entire world is my humans! I will sit with you on the couch, I will let you hold me all day, and I will go on car rides (like a champ) with you. I also really enjoy soft treats and playing fetch with any sort of small toys. I am a small dog, after all. Foster mom has been feeding me watered down kibble to make it soft, and I really kinda like that! I enjoy being outside and going for walks with my humans, too. But I don't really like thunderstorms or fireworks. Those are my least favorite things in life. Foster mom has been taking really good care of me while I've been at her house, but she says now that I'm all healthy, I can find my forever people! She says I will be happy and loved with them too. We just need to look for the perfect home for me. That makes me so happy to think about! Maybe you are my people, and your home is meant to be mine too!
